How do I stop exploiting?

You also have the perfect defense, if you don't know what damage you're doing, you can't be knowingly exploiting it. So relax.

I still have this dmg bug with my 2h sword... having to relog every 10-15 mins isn't fun, and with queues is even worse.

Seems like a joke but reloging because you can 1 shoot people is a real issue :P

The kinds of bugs that can happen in this game continue to amaze me. How can the server code even allow a damage calculation to end up that far off? How about introducing some sanity checks?

Pretty much this. Honestly, for the money this game was supposed to have cost, what kind of developers worked on the code? There is clearly some horrible mismanagement somewhere. I know it sucks for someone to look at your work and say it sucks, but someone has to do it.

lol, I really do love the game. But I've never seen an mmo at this stage still have these kinds of issues (constantly). Pretty sure ZOS will never have this game working as intended. It works enough for me to enjoy it for sure, but wtf is with certain dev teams being absolutely worthless?

I hAve been shotted some days ago,all my group,by sun flare templar hitting for 5k damage...though it was fixed cause have not happened anymore. I d like to know what is producing it.

Maybe get a low level bow to balance it out? Or maybe click the box that scales your stats in cyrodiil?

It did, I assume anyway. I was able to PvP last night for a couple hours without the bug... so I believe it's gone... for now at least.

Honestly, if I was hitting for 12k with a high level bow, I'd still be hitting for 4k with a lower one. lol

Exploits don't suck only because they exist, but because players like you outright admit you would abuse them and just worsen the problems.

Yeah, exploits don't suck just because they exist, but because players like you outright admit you would abuse them and just worsen the problems.

I know you're not talking to me... but in my case for instance, there were no options. I'd relog and be ok for 10 mins... then all of a sudden people are dropping like flies... while I'm in the middle of a big battle. It was normal, then insane in a short period of time.

I remember being ridiculed for saying a combat log in beta would help people notice potential bugs. Then I posted a thread of about a dozen combat problems I found inside of 30 minutes thanks to a combat log addon and those same people never responded... wonder where they are now? Certainly not this thread.

To be *10000000000000000000000000000000 (add more zeroes) percent* crystal clear, that post was in no way, shape, or form addressed at you but specifically (and only) at the person I quoted talking about how he would like to abuse it.

EDIT: You on the other hand have earned +10 internets for not only being honest about a bug affecting you but also reporting it and even working to negate it when you catch it happening.

Hmmm real odd. I have used bow in PvP on 2 toons (and also the daily pve content - daily) and never seen such a thing. Bows are weaker than main, as designed for me.

Wonder what the differing factor is? Are you under 50?

It happens exactly the same to me.

Today the bug is happening so often, is really crazy, i am relogging every 5-10 minutes ... Is really frustrating this bug, and obviously i will not rework all my character / playstyle / legendary sets for this.

I try to record some good fights for a new video and recorded few fights while buged, so here we go a new video proving the bug is not fixed with 1.3.4. of course i am trying to record them without any damage bonus from the **** bug but its not up to me to know if really have it until the hit from stealth happens :P or i really stay alive and killing during long battles.

I had a similar issue during one of the beta weekends when I became completely invisible to the other factions regardless of what I did. I just ran around having fun for a while and annoying people. There was another player that became invincible and couldn't be killed while he 1-shotted people and other players that had a super speed bug.

Everyone called us exploiters and cheaters, but there wasn't anything we could do about it. At least, most of these didn't make it to live because they became known pretty fast.

And those who know about the ones that did make it into live keep their cards close to their chests, eh? ;-)

At least there's no intent behind the exploit. Btw, I considered reporting this vamp sorc I ran into but it turns out his leaving my a**h*** in ruins was things just working properly. All I can recall is heat and the sound of bat wings.

That's not the only exploit going around however these things need to be fixed. People can't be expected to constantly relog or just not play because of it.

I recently became a vampire and got devouring swarm. I had been using it and would notice one or two people drop but meh, it didn't feel as ridiculous as it felt from the other side.

Today I had the kill enemy players quest and waded into an oncoming crowd with some cover. In rapid succession all five kills left to complete my quest pinged and I think I killed a few after that.

Don't let anyone tell you that that is not OP as hell.

Agree. I fully support everybody just keep playing. Its across all alliances so it evens out. Zos is the one who needs to fix, not the paying players who can't avoid it. I haven't had the bug myself but I've been crushed by it many times so far. I'll live (respawn).

I apologize to the AD at Nikel I just exploited. At first I thought, oh yeah, these guys are squishy... hitting them for 1500, 2k.... then I started hitting for 6-9k and I knew something was messed up, so I logged.

ZoS, fix bows. We shouldn't have to worry about getting banned, or royally screwing our reputation just because you cant code.

You never have to apologize to the AD for unintentionally exploiting. They base stratagies around it. Call it Karma, slaughter as many AD as you can with it while you have it... ... Leave the other faction (EP or DC) alone though, they have some honor left.
