How do I stop exploiting?

I apologize to the AD at Nikel I just exploited. At first I thought, oh yeah, these guys are squishy... hitting them for 1500, 2k.... then I started hitting for 6-9k and I knew something was messed up, so I logged.

ZoS, fix bows. We shouldn't have to worry about getting banned, or royally screwing our reputation just because you cant code.

They won't ban you. Just make sure to relog every so often to reset it. They're working on a fix.

Okay, if you see me again, OP, remove all weapons and approach slowly (don't be sneaking.) I think that's the best way to not exploit.

Lol I'm still out here This is my play time, I cant not play with a bow lol... That's my spec! It's fun, I wont lie... but I know it's messed up. I've relogged over and over, it wont go away.

To exploit requires intent to do so. If you are doing something by mistake, you are not exploiting.

This guys gets an awsome for honesty and gaming integrity. Definitely a rarity in the anonymous world of online gaming. Too bad there's not more like you out there. +100

i've msg'd with Drexill in game and can confirm from my friends log that he has relogged

he can also confirm that i didn't send him any hate mail, but just informed him in case he wasn't aware that his shots are doing insane 'bugged' damage

And even after relogging again.. it seemed to fix the first two or three hits... then boom, bugged again. That said, even those first hits seemed high.

Most likely you have to die with the speed bug that is the only thing that fixes that it may be similar.

I did smeeprocket, haven't heard yet. I'm trying to only use my 2hander now, but... but that's pretty difficult. Every once in a while out of habit I whip out the bow and shoot and then I'm like... oh crap. lol

lol have fun with it imo. Don't overuse it, but maybe snipe someone every now and again for good measure.

I was pretty unhappy to get one shotted, it's one thing to get killed in two or three shots, but getting one shots means I don't even get a chance to try and block or hide or anything.

Now that I know it's a bug and (hopefully) will be resolved soon, I'm not bothered by it.

Pretty sure other people have gotten bans for it though. It's crappy when they tie your hands then ban you for it. If it was only snipe I'd try not to use it, but it's not... it's all bow attacks. It's my only ranged option lol

Unfortunately, playing like this and generating tons of hate and reports is one of the few ways to actually get problems like this acknowledged and addressed.

It's a shame that people have to die, but it's better than just logging out and the issue not escalating.

I had a similar issue during one of the beta weekends when I became completely invisible to the other factions regardless of what I did. I just ran around having fun for a while and annoying people. There was another player that became invincible and couldn't be killed while he 1-shotted people and other players that had a super speed bug.

Everyone called us exploiters and cheaters, but there wasn't anything we could do about it. At least, most of these didn't make it to live because they became known pretty fast.

Man, I am going to have to put a bow back on my NB? Good that I did not respec him as I had some extra skill points to put into Staff. So, my Bow Skill is all ready to go.

Don't worry, I play PvE exclusively so the NPCs can complain all they want, it won't do them any good.

Well, it's not affecting everyone. In my particular case my damage was scaling upwards very very quickly. I started light attacking for over 2k, Snipe's for over 12k.
