A simple solution to that would be to only allow certain item types in each storage container type. Weapon racks - weapons. Mannequins - armour. Wardrobes - clothing/disguises.White wabbit wrote: »House storage could be used to by pass crafting bags and there fore no reason to sub
Or just Chests - everything except crafting mats.
Storage in the houses (Bought for gold) would detract a little from the desirability of craft bags via ESO+ to help with the storage issues.
ZOS needs predictable regular revenue and craft bags are the big draw for ESO + right now... as such I'd be surprised if they did anything to make those less needed/desirable, especially for in game gold, as this will impact the regular revenue stream which is what they need most to carry on.
Not saying I agree with it.... but this would be a big reason when looking at it from a business perspective.
That's armoires, i.e. decorative (read- functionless) wardrobes, not armories.Integral1900 wrote: »The article talks about armoires, an armoury without a weapon rack is just a blacksmith.... relax people, we will have places to put our shiny swords
@ZOS_DaryaK your edits pushing threads to dev tracker now?

I don't need my Armor and Weapon Storage to interact with any other storage. I am more than willing to go back to the house(s) and pull out my stuff. I am even willing to put the burden of remembering which house has what items in it totally on me, which is the way TES Housing has always been anyway.
I just want a place to store my sets and more importantly, my Uniques from Quests. Why have a Unique item if you can't do anything with it but decon it due to storage limitations.
Would I like to see my Trophies in 3D? Sure, but that can wait.

^ Exactly. I would EXPECT it to have those limitations. X Chest can hold 20 items etc. Want more storage? You need to build/buy more chests.
I'm really quite surprised.. I assumed storage would be a given... not something that "didn't make it in".
I don't think storage should be included with the house, as others have said it would make upgrading bank space pointless, and make upgrading your bag almost pointless, the game needs things to spend money on. I would like to see storage implemented, but with an in game cost of gold that costs the same, if not more than bank space, simply with a higher cap, maybe 500 or even 1000 items.
I also have to think of performance, the game already suffers a bit from performance issues, from my understanding with the instancing of housing combined with how many people like to hoard thousands of items, would encouraging even more hoarding not hurt performance and require more bandwidth?
While the thought of free storage with your house is a nice idea and realistic to real life, it makes less sense when you consider the negatives, I don't want millions of gold in my bank with nothing to spend it on, upgrading inventory space has been a huge drain on my gold keeping me poor until its complete, and I think its the right way to go about it.
