    I only found the Zombie and the Ogrim trophy so far. I dont mind the rarity, but they should keep dropping even if you outlevelled an NPC.

    I was/am totally fine with they are rare, and some are insanely hard to come by as the current system is, that was the fun part and getting excited when you suddenly realize you gotten like crypt jar in your bag, not knowing when u actually picked it up :)

    I just dont see how it will be possible with the upcoming changes anymore.

    fishing will, since it drops at all levels, so yeah only way I see this still work, is if they make collectibles the same way

    @RavenSkylord The very first entry in that thread says that they are based on level:
    • Veteran rank level characters can only obtain collectibles from enemies level 45 and up. If your character can get experience and normal loot from the enemies, then the trophy can drop from them.

    I leveled passed the opportunity to get a lot of the collectables because several of them weren't working correctly early on in the games life and since they weren't considered priority it took a long while for them to get around to fixing them. I've since been trying to gather the more troublesome ones that have no good late end areas to farm them on my main with alts. It's kind of my only recourse here.

    Now they're deciding I'm not going to be able to do that anymore? /facepalm, just /facepalm.

    If they are going to do that, then they should add some nix-hounds to Cyrodiil near the EP gates.

    That would make sense geographically, as it's near Morrowind.

    Since I got all collectible achievements on my main, I thought that keeping duplicates for inventory collection would be feasible. I wonder what's going to happen to existing collected items staying in the inventory/bank.

    This is completely silly. I don't have any desire to be on my main farming mobs for Zero CP just for a trophy. On an alt, I can play normally, earn cp/xp, progress, AND work towards the endless trophy achievement. Why change it? ZOS is constantly working on and/or changing crap that ISN'T BROKEN NOR COMPLAINED ABOUT. There priorities need fixin, that is the real bug. This makes me have to play on a charater that only wants to endgame or fish if I want the trophy achievement too. So instead of hours and hours of FUN on alts, it's hours and hours of BOREDOM on my main. Yes I have a choice not to do it, but why make that choice easy by essentially making the achievement infinitely more BORING? What.a.load.of.crap.

    If they're making it so you can't transfer them between characters without changing how the drops work they're effectively screwing everyone who wants to do them. Lovely; it's funny that most of them time when people complain that Zenimax screws their customers on purpose it's usually debatable. Not this time.

    They really should make collectibles drop for all factions at both vet and non-vet levels, then, since we will no longer be able to use alts to pick up the ones we missed. Some people missed them because collectibles were bugged when they were playing through on their main, or because we didn't even have dyes to work for back then!

    But at this point I'm just waiting for the announcement that we'll be able to pick up the ones we're missing in the crown store.

    I hope it doesn't come to that.

    Collectibles. Collllleeeeeccccttttibbbllllesssss. That's it. Something you collect while having fun. Not something you should e forced to go on your main and farm already cleared zones for. NOT FUN. Play an alt, collect as you go....FUN. Pull your head out your arse zeni.

    Play as you want? So play on my main only for this achievement while not earning cp, xp, or even loot? Or have fun on alt while earning all of which.

    They decided to change collectibles to 'register' upon looting (like rare fish) and not when used. Then the problem is that you can move em around to multiple characters, each time it'll count for the achievement (on live this is possible with rare fish). We all know why they did this: because ppl are too stupid to just consume the collectible and are freaking out about this unusual item in their bag. Please, PLEASE change it back to how it is on live, and maybe even change rare fish to also require consumption. :s

    How about this alternative? ZOS, please also put random collectibles in the treasure chests, since many of us will be hunting them anyway to get the shards for glass crafting. It is not lore breaking to imagine that whoever filled the chest would store these as treasures.

    In addition to adding drops in end game content for those of us who missed our one chance to get some of these drops early on, of course.

    If the whole reason for this change is that people simply don't realize that you need to "Use" the items to add them to your collection, wouldn't the simplest solution be to just add this info to the item's tool-tip?

    When someone gets an item that they don't know what it is, first thing they do is select it to see what the game tells them. If that box simply said "Use this item to add it to your collection!" It would completely solve that issue.

    Making them not-bankable, thus preventing farming them on alts, is the worst possible "solution" to any problem with the collectibles. ZOS, please revisit this decision, it's a very bad one.

    I have played since beta/launch. I have well over 13k achievement points and enjoy the attempt at ALL of them. I am a completionist. The Champion System, though flawed because of the gaps it creates, was good in the fact that I could play my alt and still "progress". I can still fulfill my "completionist" issues WHILE having fun instead of grinding the main. Fishing and Trophies are the ones I don't want to bore myself with by farming them specifically.Fishing I have no problem doing on my main. I run out of xp pots, np, I can fish on my main for just a little bit (30min-1hour) and have mats while still moving towards the achievement. Because of the fishing achievement, I can move around and fish different beautiful locations (the game is that, beautiful). These things reduce the boredom of fishing and space out its time consumption to be tolerable.
    This change is the exact opposite of that. This change means that my main will suffer extreme BOREDOM if I wish to continue for this achievement. I waited since launch for the fishing one to become "worth" the grind, and ZoS made it so. Thank you for that. But ZoS, you have now done the reverse to the trophy achievement. There is no viable "worth" with this change.
    Can someone please tell me why this is even being changed?

    So AD players will never be able to get that fleshy symbiot drop then :(

    You will be happy to know that these now drop in the new IC group dungeons!!!

    So there's another PvE achievement gated behind PvP that I don't want to play.
    Well lets hope they'll have these drop in he Orcisium DLC in dec.

    the thing about the current system, you can only use the collectibles once, since u consume it, and thats perfect since we can right now bank it and get them to our mains, which leveling alts. In the future this is no longer possible. Only the one char that finds it can use it. Which means there is no way in hell you will be able to ever complete this dyes on one char at all.

    With the current fishing system, you can bank it, and get the achievement on multiply chars, thats for me should be changes, since, u using the same fish twice to get the achievement, not like collectibles you only use once to get the achievement

    Missing the point, all enemies can be found above 45, so claiming the only way to get achievement is through alts and the bank is misleading

Fishing trophy collectibles grant the associated achievement upon item pick-up, whereas monster-kill trophy collectibles grant the associated achievement upon use. This difference was resulting in a high volume of bug reports and feedback in which players thought the collectible trophies were broken. That combined with the availability being limited by level-range prompted us to make the system more intuitive and uniform. That’s where the upcoming changes come in.

    So what do those changes consist of? Here’s a short list:
    • All collectible trophies will now grant the associated achievement when the item is first looted.
    • Monster trophies will always drop off appropriate level monsters for your character. A game-wide audit was done to make sure that no matter what level you are, there is always a place you can go to work on collecting the trophy you are looking for.
    • Collectible trophies can no longer be banked and traded to another character.

    Clarify? Yes, in terms of the disparity in the way monster trophies and fishing trophies are used.
    HOWERVER, the "Collectible trophies can no longer be banked and traded to another character" is trivial.
    Since this achievement has been introduced, I have enjoyed the hunt while playing ANY toon I want. You see, @ZOS_JessicaFolsom, I only play my 'main' for endgame content and new content. The 'main' has been here since launch and has almost every PVEISH achievement there is, except for fishing and monster trophies. ZOS just recently made fishing worth doing. My main fishes, gets achievements AND mats to add my alts in leveling. But why would you make me go farm these monsters on the 'main'? I have enjoyed doing it on my alts, who get to contribute to the monster hunt. It doesn't make me feel that if I want this achievement, I have to "grind" senselessly. There is enough mechanics that make people feel the "grind" already. Why deepen such a play style? My main has it half done by a method of an ENTIRE YEAR, and now some trivial behaviour changes this. There is an argument that some of these type achievements should be account wide, but the go around to the debate is about to "fixed". I can only urge you to revisit this.
    For a game that suggests "play as you want", why do I have to change my play style comfort zone EVERY content update?
    This is a small complaint, in the grand scheme of things, but for the love of the Divines, LEAVE THE BANKING/TRADING PORTION ALONE. STOP MAKING ME PLAY ON CERTAIN TOONS FOR TRIVIAL REASONS!!!

    dont be happy too fast, they haven't written how many there will be in order to make a decent farm/grind out of it.
