[BUG] Marksman Mesh for Female Characters not actually female

Icy

Hey @ZOS_GinaBruno, @ZOS_JessicaFolsom, anyone:

Did you KNOW that the Marksman Mesh looks like this on a female character???? I, of course, couldn't test this prior to actually putting it on, and now it's bound to my account. Is this a bug or what? And if it's not a bug, can I have my 150k gold back? The second image is what my character looks like normally. I think you'll agree the difference is noticeable.

I'm kinda pissed right now, I must admit.

It really looks a bit weird on female characters. I mentioned this in an official feedback thread on the PTS forum already:

Well at least if she trips over and falls on her front in the Marksman she has less chance to fracture her sternum and die... Look for the positives!

Get used to it, all new armor will have this "generic" look with regards to the sex of the wearer, so there will be no more "boob armor" ;-)

Having boob plates, you mean. Which we know are not very practical.

We have many styles with boob plates already. Nothing wrong with having options.
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

    yawn...

I know this is a game but armor normally was flat chested for girls irl. Yes its a game but it borders the real world in style.

So tired of people complaining that they dont get enough t*ts...

*edit* I agree they shouldnt be so "real" however I just am tired of people asking for boob window and thinking that going Japanese mmo style is a "good" idea...

Er....if people have really been whining about mildly form-fitting chest plates then it's just stupid. When the hell did people begin to assume that if a lady wants to look good for herself through wearing items that accentuates her figure, she is immediately objectifying herself and others for GASP, wearing an armor plate that actually fits her?! How very dare she.

Anyway, on a more serious note, flat-chested armor is good and fine, I just sincerely hope it doesn't turn into a figure nerf altogether (I see no-one complaining about the new bosmer dress), and make all the armor for females look like rubbish, because that armor, really does look terrible.

Hopefully they follow the style of these in the future :)

Maybe that's the look they wanted for that style. They can't make every style appeal to every person. As @Abeille said this just adds options. The complaint should be "Why can't I change sets to styles I like?" rather than "This doesn't suit my personal taste, so change it everyone else"

Also there are plenty of costume options which the look desired, not all of them from the Crown Store either.

I know it's difficult and heartbreaking to grasp for some men, but boobs don't require special armor compartments. Just like the male groin doesn't require a special shaft compartment to be carved into leg armor (much to their additional disappointment, I'm sure).

Imo on heavy armor it looks fine and makes perfect sense - at least that's better than diving suit cuirasses of basic motifs. Of course it makes charater look "fat"... Well, armor is not supposed to be skin tight. ;)
But on light robes its awkward.

Actually in fencing women do wear boob-shaped boob-plates for protection:)

Mercenary style looks like that on my HA female character too. It was so big and bulky looking on her that I ended up changing to something else despite the crafting cost.

    ...than boobie armour:

    hqdefault.jpg

Somehow it just makes me feel better as a female. I love outfits like this, too:latest?cb=20160127225817

But there is a difference between clothing and armour.

EDIT: Heavy and medium should look like this in my opinion. If you wear light armour, it can look however you want, you can even be half naked and I don't care because clothes won't stop a sword anyway.

I rather have boob plates, but yeah they need to have boobs more showing on female outfits, but yeah I don't mind boob plates either. The other kind without them is fine, but everyone is different.

    I wasnt talking about all the other styles,I was agreeing with the OP that they do not look flattering.Others here have said the same thing,ya know. :}

Sure, and that's fine, but there was NO way for me to SEE that "This doesn't suit my personal taste" before out outlayed 150k gold and bound it to my account; so I can't even sell it on to someone who would appreciate it.

I've got no problem having a flat boob-plate, however I would like my character to have a waist.

@ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_GinaBruno Is the Marksman's Armour looking as intended on the female character mesh??

I think players and designers are forgetting this is a high fantasy game and not a medieval fantasy game. We have cats and lizards walking around with breasts but somehow armor that confirms to the contour of that bosom is inappropriate.

Give me a break. ZOS will lose more business than it will gain from gender neutral armors.

I say bring on the boob armor. Bring on the cod pieces. This is fantastical world, the armor should reflect that.
