First off I have to say that I LOVE Thieves Troves! I think they are the BEST addition to ESO in a LONG time. They add additional tasks throughout Tamriel and one of my chief concerns about DLC was that the original zones would be forgotten and neglected.
That being said, the Trove's "glow" is a bit too much. As I'm running around they are hard to ignore.
I have not yet bought the Thieves Guild DLC (Dar-Ja'Taba isn't yet level 50 ) and am wondering if the glow goes away once the DLC is purchased? I think these troves should be something that are hidden and must be sought out, not something that screams at you from the distance.
Now, I would totally be fine if there was a skill that made these auras appear (like crafting mats) or if there was a toggle in settings. As it stands now, the glow is just too much.
Am I alone in this?
See if you can find the troves in these pictures! It's like the easiest game of Where's Wlado.

I mainly use my ears to find them, the buzzing sound of them is unique and will lead me to them.

I didn't even KNOW they did that!... Netflix and ESO. That would be plenty enough for me.
I totally get the glow to "draw in" those that have not bought the DLC... when we buy the DLC, does the glow go away?
I'm fine with it,i have bad vision anyways.maybe add an unlock passive to skill line to see them better, like crafting passives.btwthat sound they make I'm hearing in head now a lot lol
I guess thieves are just REALLY bad at hiding their stolen goods.
Joking aside... this could use an adjustment... or at the very least, a toggle.
I knew someone would say this. And here I was having fun running around and farming them last night,
Well,so much for that.
People just dont like anything that is easy to get. Even if it is just a small glowing box.

ZOS could have made it so they would be easy to get with a passive "Thieves sense" skill. Make it so that you level up to the point of them being what they are now. It's all about creating gameplay opportunities @Volkodav
And no... not all of us like games to hand us everything by removing any challenge and skill.

Running around and finding them is not the problem here - but camping in one spot and loot them over and over and over again, because some of them - not all as I found out - are respawning too quickly. I think Jessica from ZOS said, that this is not intentional or by design that short and they are looking into the issue - they do not want campers there as well.
Just an FYI,I'm not a jerk for having fun running after those troves.
Also I dont and never have camped to get anything.I havent the patience for that sort of stuff.I do farm,as everyone else does, but not in one place.
I dont want you to get the wrong idea because I hit as many of those as I saw.Once I realized what they were,I had fun with them for a bit.
Besides,I was mostly joking around.
You get the thieves guild skill line by starting the thieves guild quest. If you don't start the quest, you don't get the skill line.
Edit: And it is per-character - one character can get it, while others don't
