The problem is that they are destroying whatever is left of the PVP community in this game. This game doesn't have a long future if they continue the current path of pushing aside and ignoring the horrible state of PVP.

Apart from your eventual chance in the presumed DLC rotation (PvP, solo PvE, group PvE, repeat), the secs have also let it be known that they are willing to update IC. Furthermore, they have made it no secret that they are continuously working on Cyrodil performance even if their results have thence forth been underwhelming.
Really? What is your source for this statement? I'm not being sarcastic, I'm truly curious.
I hope the mods are merging these threads, we only need so many.
i personally welcome the decision to cancel the PvP aspect of the Justice System. It strengthens my resolve to continue playing my two accounts, but I can appreciate the PvPers' disappointment. However, it is not the end of the world, and it need not be the end of the game for them. They are, after all, getting duels on top of last year's PvP DLC and I'm sure ZOS have no intention of abandoning PvP. Indeed, they are clearly still putting a lot of effort into improving the performance in Cyrodiil.
@Smitch_59 here is @Lefty_Lucy poll that he did regarding pvp for the justice system and if the pole is any indicator of what our community wants it is PVP 75% vs 25% who don't want it in the Justice System.

I don't get why this bothers "hardcore" PVP'ers so much. It was hardly going to be a massive hardcore PVP thing.
I get that PVP needs new things. I agree that it needs new things. Cyrodiil needs new objectives besides balling up to capture keeps. Imperial City needs district capture amongst other things.
But this would have been rather a dull addition, and i bet the novelty would have worn off very quickly. And there would definitely have been even more "nerf X class" topics. Because this may be one of the biggest things as to why it was cancelled. This game is not balanced for 1V1 PVP. Nor did it state that it was.
They're going to have a lot of work ahead of them to get Arenas right.

It wasn't just a PvP thing, it was good for the overall health of them. More character interaction, more depth, more player-driven content.
I also agree that new systems are needed.
Is there a system like this in any other MMO?

Actually there is a system like this in MANY MMO's flagging-based PvP and justice systems are one of the most common systems for an MMO.
cjddrumnub19_ESO wrote: »Yes there are, actually they are normally a lot better then this. A good example is Archeage and their Justice system. Also before anyone comments, yes, I know that Archeage is almost dead, but that was caused by entirely different factors, the only thing that keeps it alive is the player driven Justice System.
I just watched a video on it, and it does actually look a lot of fun. But this is not how ZOS would likely have implemented it. It would have likely always been kill on sight, and no jail.
And I just wonder how compatible this would have been for the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood quests, which I assume will feature a lot of crime committing.
Did you really need to make a whole new thread, AND link to it in all the other pre-existing threads on the subject?cjddrumnub19_ESO wrote: »Well as most of you know, ZOS canceled the PvP segment of the justice system...
{blah, blah, blah... same stuff new thread.}

I really wish people would stop calling Imperial city a PvP DLC.
Dominoid wrote:Through game mechanics still to be finalized, players can join an “Enforcer Guild” that allows players to hunt down wanted criminals in the world. Players will need to choose to be thieves or enforcers (or remain neutral and ignore the system), but can’t be both at the same time. Just like you can switch between vampire and werewolf on the same character, you will be able to “change” your mind somewhat at will in the Justice System as well.
No I get that there's flagged PVP in other MMO's, I've played a few.
I mean is there a PVP justice system like this in any other MMO?
