Now show what´s happening if you´re trying to fight outside of the choochoo in this mess.

Getting stuck on one bar unable to switch weapons, abilities not firing at all. Getting healthdesynced by everyone using casttime abilities.

When i´m dying in eso atm it´s 90% of the time something entirely out of my control (lags and bugs) which is infuriating to put it mildly - any real expression of my feelings towards the topic would get me into the club of pvpers banned on the forums because they dared to say the truth.

Edit: It used to be that when i died i could exactly tell why that happened most of the time (and even be it snipe not playing it´s soundfile resulting in an instant death) - now i´m most of the time just staring at my screen asking myself:
Why a snipe hit me mid dodgeroll animation.
Why did my character explode without ANY animation playing at all (deathrecap shows 3x concealed - player never appeared on my screen)
100 - 0% dropdead on one spot with the deathrecap being 3k dmg casted fragments by one sorc (none of which got animated or knocked me down)
Why during the whole time of 3 players beating me up my whole ability bar is grayed out (not the sprintlock bug) leaving me unable to do anything at all.
Why attacks out of cloak /stealth do not get animated at all half of the time (especially projectiles).

That was just the deaths i remember of pvping yesterday that left me absolutely with no idea what the hell went wrong.

Yeah, i remember that it used to work in the past... at least for a period of time.
Once they tried to reduce some animations due to lagissues but after some time they improvedn the animations and gave em way more effects.

Biggest issue I believe is the anti bot system from 1.2 that moved tons of previously client side calculations to server side. Also pretty sure there's been cutbacks on server capacity dedicated to Cyrodiil since launch.

thats what i dont understand i got so fed up by it, that i just cant join and enjoy the game anymore, because every sign of a lag makes me extremaly angry.. I just cant play this game with my eyes closed while tellin myself "no,no,NO they WILL fix it one day" .. naive me.

i m loggin in now like 1x per 14 days. "if" even that.

(btw i cant join the noon, i got life and work to do , only time i cld join this days is prime time, and i ll rather do something else)

Lag got worse with every patch. If it gets even worse with the Orsinium dlc we will all just basically stand still in Cyrodiil.

The game have had lag since reelease, just not ont the same level as now.. I found some videos on the channel you found the endindg clip from which showcases some oldschool lag.

Ye I know, many ppl are working and cannot play during the afternoon, when you log in at evening during primtime you gonna be in a lagparty which is NOT FUN AT ALL:

Hm ye, but there were like 4x the Population in Cyrodiil and like 10x more fights happening than now. And it still was "playable" xD

I really lost the hope on them even trying to communicate and working with us. I guess they prefer having a super toxic forum because of all the frustration and players leaving in masses.
I'm really wondering how many people will leave when Black Desert Online comes out. And then CU. Simply because ZoS can't handle their own game.

Every update they say they are doing x and lag will get better, and every update the lag gets worse. You can now tell when you are approaching a zerg because the lag bubble is so freaking huge that it's an advance warning system. The bubble is about the size of a keep and nearly it's resources. You can step forward get the lag, take one step back out of the lag. There doesn't even need to be fighting, it can just be your own faction.

There needs to be an explanation for why the lag is getting worse not better.

I missed Forward Camps, no lags, string animation of BoL, and battles where you can rush into zerg and proc 5 valkyn meteors simultaneously to kill 10 people in a sec.

I think some of you guys are nostalgic of a time that has never existed. There has always been lag in Cyrodiil (since april 2014) and I don't think it's getting worse. It's just never improved. Everyone zergs on Azura like hell now and that's why you don't see fights on the map as much as you used too. People don't even try to spread on those campaigns because of the AP farm mentality that has spread out. At launch, people didn't use skills like they do now so of course the game was smoother then.

Nevertheless, I completely agree that we should get informed, they should do something and so on.

There definelty were a time when lagg was not as persistant. Smooth weapon swap, spread out fights.. Forwards camps.. I mean i used to run up solo arround bleakers outpost as AD with a DK for christ sake

They simply don't care. Not a single dev cares about PvP or end-game PvE. They might hear what you have to say but in the end they'll be like "f*** it, i'll do my own thing".

The most infuriating thing in my opinion, is that they don't have any sort of agenda to fix Cyrodiil. For example:

If it worked then its ok, if it didn't "well better luck next time" and next time will be after a year..

Also, not exactly related to Cyrodiil but more to PvP in ESO. To those that want small scale PvP (Arenas, battlegrounds etc ), I can already see a post on the forums saying "good news everyone! Arenas are coming to eso (only for 2500 crowns)!! So they pretty much disappointed us with how Cyrodiil is and then they'll bait us with DLC exclusive arenas, which we'll have to pay again (and also most likely they'll completely ignore Cyro from then on).

If that happens, EA will definitely create an forum account just to congratulate ZOS for their "business move"..

Oh CU is shaping up quite nicely, and the communication between devs and players/backers is so good I almost get annoyed (but not really, haha) with all the updates they send out via email, and you can pretty much count on getting dev responses and discussion on the official forums and subreddit. Hell, they livestream devs just working on the game. I suspect once CU gets underway later next year it will be very attractive to the PvP-centric and sandbox MMO crowds. The combat, class, stats, and environment systems are incredibly in-depth and open-ended, with each influencing the other to boot.
