Alternatives to Adding Races to Eso

There have been a few threads in the past few months regarding new races being added to ESO. It is true that there are MANY races that ZOS could introduce, (I go over a few of therm here: http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/149340/hopefully-someday-we-will-travel-all-of-nirn), most aren't exactly lore friendly.

More importantly, though, is that we have a LOT of mileage left in the races we have.

• Sub-Cultures: ZOS could introduce sub_cultures into ESO. With the Reachmen, Ashlanders, Iron Orcs, etc. ZOS could add two or three sub-cultures to each race to act as a sub-race giving us more choices when making our race selection:

• Religion: Then there's the possibility of allowing to align with one of the 16 Daedric Princes or 8 Divines... or some other "deity".
• Bloodlines and Strains: We also have over a dozen different vampire bloodlines, and ten or so Lycanthrope strains.
• Furstocks: Khajiit have 16 different fursocks, 8-10 of which could be playable...

• Scalekins: Argonians have 4 tribal races that COULD be used to add some races...

• Character Creation Options: But honestly what I would like most is a more robust character creator options

I guess my point is... Let's hope for something a little more creative than new races. The Elder Scrolls can offer SO much more than that.

Personally I'd vote taking the best from all of the above. And new races too. And more weapon skill lines as well, while we're at it. One can never have enough options.

Ahhh. Weapon skill lines. I would love to see a comprehensive collection of different skill lines. I've taken a stab at it myself (unposted) and have ended up at the "but what about" stage. It's hard to reconcile all the different weapons without just revamping the entire weapon system.

Been thinking about weapon skills myself, now and then. Many "but what about them" weapons could simply be added to existing skills... for example, the "bow" abilities would work more or less with any ranged weapon I suppose, be it crossbow, sling or throwing javelins...
Those I found really might be worth a new skill line were polearms, brawling and one-handed&magic... and those three I for one would love to see added to the ESO options!

If they ever add all of the various forms of khajiit in-game and make the khajiit npcs diverse among them, (regardless of if they make the bipedal ones a playable race although that would be nice) and also release all of Elsweyr, I'd buy everything in the crown store.

I am very strongly for the idea of ethnicities/breeds (like Ashlander or Colovian or Ohmes) and religions.

Very nice suggestions! I would looove to be able to create various forms of Argonians. Lots of people RP as Ashlanders, Reachmen, etc. It would be great to have some extra character creation options to make these kinds of characters stand out more!

I think it's really awesome that ZoS has given us so many different types of armor to use, this would just be the next step!

I really wish they would @WhiskeyRiver.AZub17_ESO. As it is, I feel like suggestions that aren't by either a steamer or an angry horde are just completely ignored.

Oh well. I stopped expecting thoughtful and meaningful communication from ZOS about a year ago.
