Add NPC children!

Not really a lot to explain here, add NPC children. It would make the world look more alive and it would open p some new quest ideas. Save little Timmy from the well type stuff. Honestly it's weird how EVERYONE in this world is between the ages of 20-60.

In Age of Conan, they have it, and nobody is bothered about it, so cant see why not. I know its not gonna happen, just dont see the reason for not having them.

EXACTLY, if anything it makes sense to have them, it makes no sense that a world this big has NO kids.

This was sort of what I felt like the first time I moved to San Francisco... I must have lived here like 1yr before I actually saw a child ;)

It would add more "color" to the game I suppse, but really in the end just add up to more server load so I doubt they would do it.

Because there are so many things wrong or plain broken with ESO, I think adding children should be at the bottom of their list of things to do.

I agree, I would love to see children in this game. It seems really odd to me never seeing any.

They did a really nice job in LOTRO incorporating them into quests and villages. Felt much more real to me than never seeing them.

Why and who has talked about this and said no? Makes zero sense not to have children in the world. If its an issue of Justice System just make them un-killable like every other Elder Scrolls game. It would add depth and immersion IMO.

And then when they introduce Housing we can start families and have loads and loads of kids. Oh wait.. that's The sims...

No seriously, I don't mind that there would be children in the game. It could open up doors for some fun quests and the world be more believable.
However I doubt that we will see that any time soon, ZOS got more important content to focus on than that. It would be to much work for something that small.

I'd still like to see children in game (immersion and stuff, plus I imagine various plots around where NPC's are hiding the kiddies) but there are a lot of other things I'd rather see devs working on first.

One of the alliances does have a "save little Timmy from the well" type quest where the "little Timmy" character is a full grown man-child. It is amusing.

I hope that this thread does not go dark and disturbing like previous threads on the issue have.

In Lord of the Rings online, there are quests where you can slap children around, because... why not?
    Sometimes, I dream about...cheese...

Dermont - v16 Pompous Altmer Sorcerer (With a very arrogant face!)
Egonieser - v16 Nord Stamina Dragonborn Wannabe
Endoly - v16 Tiny Redguard Sharpened MaceBlade
Egosalina - v16 Breton Cheesus Beam Specialist
Egowen - v16 Dunmer Whipping Expert (Riding crops eluded her)
(Yes, I had to grind all these to v16)
Akamanakh - lvl 22 Khajiit GankBlade (Inspired by Top Cat)
Targos Icewind - lvl 34 Imperial (Future) Jabplar

Yes. Add children!... maybe we need another poll.

Should Children be Added To ESO?

-Yes. And they should be killable.
-Yes. And they should be invincible.
    -Yes. As pets.
    -No.
-You mean as a provisioning ingredient, right?
-Put some cheese in that wound and I'll tell Martha you'll be late for supper.
What ESO really needs is an Auction Horse.
    That's right... Horse.

This. Unkillable children in cities. It's called immersion. A world with absolutely no children is just...weird. And I'm not even a big fan of children.

Only if they are killable like other innocent NPCs. Not because I want to play out some strange sadistic child murderer fantasy, but because if they are invincible they are immersion breaking.

Just saying, as a stealthy character the worst thing is, when a stupid essential NPC decides it's fun to walk up to you and ask you for a game of tag for the thousand time, but are unable to get them away because they are invincible. So they automatically fail your perfectly laid stealth plan.

At least there needs to be a "Slap across the face" and "Steal Sweetroll" mechanic.

There are going to be invincible NPCs so no matter how you slice it there will be immersion breaking. Go on, try and assassinate the King/Queen, etc... go try and slay quest givers.

OOOOH there goes your immersion..... there will be no way to kill Merrick or assault the Groundskeeper XD.... ahhh the immersion is broken!!!!

Get a grip people. Obviously if they added children to the game they would make them invincible whether you cry immersion breaking or not. No matter what you say, there will be unkillable NPCs. It's an MMO. Get over it.

Yes I would like children. Not necessarily adoptable. And I suppose it would be wise to make them unkillable.

There are plenty of NPCs who I would have loved to kill, or at least slap really really hard.
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
    ***
Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

    ***skyrim addon :
Hearthfire, you can purchase land and build your own home from the ground up - from a simple one-room cottage to a sprawling compound complete with an armory, alchemy laboratory, stable, garden, and more. Use all-new tools like the drafting table and carpenter’s workbench to transform quarried stone, clay, and sawn logs into structures and furnishings. Even transform your house into a home by adopting children.

Why always when people demand housing the respond ***omg we arent in the sims game*** well sorry but I do not like the sims , but I still like having housing and why not children in Elderscroll .. .isn't not suppose to be a rpg game? I think a lot of mmo fan forgot about that.

Of course children might not be really a priority and I can really leave without it. But housing should be consider now that turn b2p , because they will need to found interest on them cash shop if they want that business model. And a lot of people like housing in those type of game. Nothing wrong there.

Add my agreement for children in ESO. I don't care if they make them unkillable to avoid protest issues, or make them killable and heap dire consequences upon any who dare follow that route, the world just would feel so much more alive if there were some kids in the safe zones at least. And some questings are really leaving me feeling a little silly when the "daughter/son" looks more like a "sister/brother"...
