A Unkown Error has Occured (EU Server)

so the server Transfer to EU is complete but i cannot play i can login choose a Character and then affter being like 20-30 seconds ingame the game Closes and send me back to the Login Screen with A Unkown Error has Occured .. had this problem never before.

i crashed now 5 times in 2 minutes back to login screen and not able to play at all.

    Same problem here, it just throws me back to login screen with 'unknown error' message :(

    Unles my ISP changed something since yesterday (when I got to play normally) I should be fine

    Until now I tried resetting my internet connection (change the public IP), completely disabling my firewall, verifying the game assets... This also happens with all characters, even newly created ones...

    I am based in Slovakia, my ISP is T-com ... so maybe there is some kind of problem along the line to Frankfurt?

    no vpn here so that not the issue and i never had this problem as the server was in the US xD

    I have the same problem. Can log in just fine but a couple of seconds after I am in-game I get booted. Hopegully they will come up with a fix soon.

    I have the same problem since 20th of July. We had quite a discussion at Customer support... now they blame Microsoft for the problems...

    Hi!

    Thank you for getting back to me, that makes sense now. I'm afraid you'd need to contact Microsoft for assistance with this error, as this is a problem with your Windows installation that is causing the game to crash.

    I'm really sorry I can't offer you more assistance, but please contact their support and let me know if you're able to get the game working again after fixing it!

    So hopefully this doesn't place a bad taste in the mouths of EU players but I got on (from the USA) faster than I ever have since the server migration to Germany and am sitting at 56 FPS in Riften by the Bank.

    EDIT: And I just noticed a marked decrease in ability lag since yesterday when the server was here in the USA, so weird.

    It's relevant because this is a thread about EU players who are having issues even getting the game to fully load after the server migration while I'm here in America (where the server was) and am actually getting into the game faster and seeing a decrease in ability lag since before the server migration. That means not all are having this issue so if ZoS can determine what all of you have in common that is also different from me (besides different continents) maybe they can fix your problem even faster.

    The thing I havent tried is connecting to the US server (since I dont have a spare 30GB space to test it out)

    Anyone currently unable to connect to the EU server having problems connecting to the US aswell?

    Also I am getting bugged by the consultant tool... been running for almost an hour with nothing happening...

    Don't even bother to wait for the tool, nothing worked in my case. Customer support always sends this generic responses which they usually just copy-paste from their documents... Still waiting for the reply from the CS

    No problem there, ping 18ms...

    Edit: on the second look i am having the same issue:

    I am not sure it it is even relevant... my report.txt also almost 50% of packets lost under this line: Tracing route to launcher.bethesda.net

    I am gonna check my packet loss for other services...

    EDIT: Tested ping and packet loss for www.google.com for 10 minutes, average ping is 35ms, 476 packets sent, 476 returned, 0% packet loss...

    Also tested www.heise.de which should be based in frankfurt for a few minutes, also 0% packet loss

    So no any update on this? I'm so gutted, my game time is very limited and when have night to play I cannot for some mysterious reasons because this transfer messed something up? I've tried everything and scratching my head as it never happened before when server was across the pond.

    Well, the CS basically told me to contact my ISP ...

    I can ping any page or server I can come up with, with no packet loss, so I already know what my ISP is gonna tell me tomorrow. Have you tried logging into the US server?

    It is not an ISP issue on our side. Just received email from ZOS confirming that they are aware about this issue, it's on their side and they are working to fix it ASAP and to keep checking social media and forums about the progress. Seems there's no chance to visit Tamriel tonight though *sad face*
