I already read about two people getting the same Avast virus detection as I did. Anyone else having this problem?
Every single forum page I access, I get an Avast virus (malware) detection: "threat has been detected"

I have reported this to Zenimax.

    ..Wait a minute....you have a security team? .......

Oh-oh-oh!!! you meant IT security. To stop servers from being hacked into & the like.. gotcha.

They don't need a security team for that they are quite capable of hacking our accounts themselves going on number of reported incidents of banks being emptied (including my own0 ..... they are probably behind one of those gold spammers we see in chat all day long that they cant seem to stop ... ESO URBAN Myth No1 started :-)

I've never read a forum post that mentioned any anti-virus product without within 5 posts, someone chiming in to say that that anti-virus is the worst ever, and it's the actual virus, and so on. Nothing wrong with Avast--tons better than horror shows like McAffee or Norton.

Obviously, a false positive. I see it as well on a system I'm running Avast on.

Uninstall Avast!. Install a free eval version of McAfee, Norton or my personal favorite Vipre. If they locate less than 100 virus signatures, I would be impressed. Avast is worse than a virus, because it gives the users that I have to clean their machines a false sense of security. Then they pay me to spend days cleaning the malware and viruses off with Malwarebytes/Spybot/Vipre., if I do not end up having to copy all their files off and reinstall the OS, because it wont go away cleanly.

Power level to CP160 in a week:
Where is the end game? You just played it.
Why don't I have 300+ skill points? Because you skipped content along the way.
    Where is new content? Sigh.

The problem is you ar using a free anti virus program, they are not good. They hardly protect against anything. Get GData.
That's not always the case, there are free antivirus programs that perform/detect a lot more than some paid ones (Mcafee, Norton for instance in 2013, don't know the exact number as of 2014).
G Data has won many awards and is the best on the market atm. Its a reasonable 20 euro a year as well. Does updates every hour.

I just received an update from Avast. I'm not seeing the detection anymore. So it's prolly on Avast's side.

It's a false positive. AVG and Avast have this problem all the time (seen it on the WOW forums for years too). The bot detection stuff in MMO's tends to be detected by these programs.
