    I just wonder:
If the people at ZOS said, for example:
Need to find 8 furs and only in the circled area, where there are several people in the area
Reward will be 1 million gold

I wonder how many people would condemn the event ?

I didn't like the event when it started.
It is not so bad now. Instead of focusing on the event, I grab the quests and go off to do treasure hunting, antique hunting, or questing, and pick up a lot of the supply items on the way.
I find Soul Reapers that way as well when those that are spawn camping the Soul reaper locations haven't insta-killed everything first. ( Shame players are using add-ons to locate these things.)

I thought I read that there will be 3 or 4 gold chest rewards available . . . I get a limit of 2 so far. After the 2, I get only the useless blue boxes.
My friend who played this day ran into a limit to the dailies. The quest givers told him to come back next day. What is the limit?

The most disappointing for me up-to-date was the problems with drop rates.

I have wasted some gold coffers in the beginning - only one coffer was dropping guaranteed loot, other dropped normal items for at least 2 days. Later I saved some gold coffers for after the update - now it seems only first coffer of each kind opened each day has guaranteed loot - others opened on the same day (they are golden, saved from previous days!) drop just normal loot.

Very disappointing provided the description on the web page for the event!

Also, the one-week window for the phase 3 fortress should be definitely adjusted!!! This is important!

Think about it: if you have an important business trip or a vacation at that time you might miss it completely! Especially, you cannot plan in advance, because it depends on the players when it starts. Please reconsider making it longer (at least two weeks, best three weeks or a full month), or just keep it forever (but as a story zone with lower quality mobs) for people to enjoy later as a part of the story (BEST solution imho).

    1. Without a season pass you have one quest less (on Solstice) which gives the third box
    2. You can do 6 of each type a day

    Were you grouped?
When i was in a dungeon where a group was running circuit, it felt like nothing was dropping. When I was in the same dungeon later this day on my own, I was in and out in minutes. It could be that it just feels empty with groups because they clear the dungeon so suddenly. When working in a space alone, it seems to go faster.

As others have already said, the blue boxes don't offer anything decent. I belong to three guilds that have players who usually speak positively of ESO, but even they're grumbling about this in guild chat. After completing any achievements and the golden pursuit, there isn't any reason to do anything beyond getting the three golden boxes every day. If you want players to grind out blue boxes, the rewards have to be increased.

Otherwise, I appreciate the attempt to do something new with this event.

We also wanted to provide an update on the server progression. We have heard your feedback regarding the rate of progress, and in evaluating the numbers, have decided to ease the needed thresholds across all servers so that players feel their efforts are more rewarded. That adjustment has now been made, and as such, percentage to completion for Phase 1 has been increased across all servers. Each server's progress is independent, and the threshold reduction was applied evenly across all servers. The current updated server progress is also now reflected here: https://www.elderscrollsonline.com/writhingwall. This is a new event-type for ESO and we appreciate your continued feedback as we work to make sure it's an enjoyable and rewarding experience.

I don't get how ZOS can interpret "players want to feel more rewarded" as "please adjust the progress".

This isn't going to improve the optics here. This is going to diminish people's confidence in the bar and further tarnish the event. It feels like you're pushing the event along at this point.

Regardless, this doesn't address the core issues. The bulk of the feedback was focused on drop rates for both quest and reward drops. I see there's been some hotfixes, but overall, it still feels like there's no point in doing more than one event quest a day. There's just not enough goodies dropping.

ZOS think the main reward from the event is people who bought the content pass getting permission to play the rest of the content they paid for, so I guess they interpret "not rewarding enough" as "not progressing fast enough".

If it was up to me, I'd increase quest item droprates so the fetch quests are easier to finish.

And of course also the reward boxes need to drop more interesting things (event items: style pages, furniture and furnishing plans, etc). Right now there's just no motivation to do more than 3 quests because only the golden boxes drop something of interest - if at all. The purple ones are completely useless and feel like a waste of time and crafting mats.

Also, I'd just forward the whole event to the last phase, so all dailies, the boss from phase 2 and the fortress from phase 3 are active at once, so people can choose what of those tasks they like to do and play them for how long it might take until East Solstice is ready for release.

No one is interested in the "competition" anyway. The timer feels arbitrary. And if it has any effect, at most it antagonizes the people of different servers and regions.

I thought 10% seemed like a pretty decent amount of progress for 4 days, whereas 25% seems like a little bit too much.

10% in 4 days would have meant 40 days until completion. Of Phase 1.

This only shows how little zos knows it's player base. Someone already wrote in the first day of that bar's manipulation that ppl will stop doing the content, after the first nerf happend, and it was not necessary. Now the bar has been manipulated again, and all because the ultimate reward it's supposed to be the final realease of the chapter.

So here I stand wondering, what is the use of such a bar to begin with, for either it's there or not, the content must be released anyway. And since after yearly events with similar bars, but proper rewards, the knowledge of how ppl react has still not been acquired, why bother?

Suggestion: no more bars, they were somewhat reduntant in the past, still worked as something of an incentive, but this? It's just a joke, and not even a good one. Just release the content you must release, and stop trying to make it look like it's on us.

Also I do not like the go-fetch quests. For all the reasons stated by many already. And the rewards? Barely worth the fuss. Past events seemed better. Double farm drops, progress bars for unique items, not content, which again - it must be released, either the bars are "filled" or not.

Conclusion? Let events be events. Add to what exists (existed more like) rather than wipe it all up for something so cumbersome, futile and unecessary for a change. Too much work which could have gone in improving the actual chapter, for a one-time thing, meant to underline said chapter.

And do respect your player base more. The level of issues with which this event landed is beyond unsavory! Paying customers are not PTS testers ( even when they are) - there IS a difference between live and pts - pls respect it!

Couldn't agree with you more. There's no point in progress bars. I'm sorry, but I'm gonna play the game and get the rewards. That's all I care about. And it's not even a good marketing move either - especially after they adjusted it twice. All they have to do is read the forums or Reddit to see how poorly that's been received. People's cycles could've been better spent elsewhere than that bar.

Hello! We have a Friday update for you all. :) We will also add a couple of these to the known issues list with their resolutions/recommendations for added visibility.
    • Some of you had reporting not finding any of the Wormwrithe Weapon Outfit pages, and not seeing any in guild traders. We've confirmed that these are Phase 2 item drops and you will not see them until then. We have updated the event article to correct that info.
    • Some players on PS4 and Xbox One have reported not seeing many mobs on screen at the Vitrified Souls quest spots, compared to players on PS5, Xbox Series S|X, and PC. This is something that you may encounter if you are running ESO on older systems including PS4, Xbox One, and lower-end PCs. The system/game are trying to load a high volume of player characters in a concentrated area, and that is resulting in slower load-in time on older systems for both player characters and monsters. Players could try using AoE abilities just to tag mobs and heal in the area to get credit, and turn on auto-loot. We recommend visiting Dark Anchors as an alternative and potentially better option for those on older systems.
    • We've also seen some questions about whether the new Writhing Wall-themed furnishing items are dropping. We've confirmed that they are dropping as expected. We also wanted to let those of you looking know that you will be able to craft those items in the future, too, so this won't be your only opportunity to obtain them.

Lastly, we want to acknowledge that we do see and are discussing your feedback about the event quest item drop rates and reward box contents.

    Thanks everyone!

+1, I’d have thought at the very least they’d have made it a better chance/more souls from tougher monsters, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. I’d have bumped up the chance/soul number for bosses and maybe put in a cooldown on individual bosses to encourage people to check out different invaded Delves, rather than camp the most accessible bosses, since they went to the trouble of having them invaded.

Hello! We have a Friday update for you all. :) We will also add a couple of these to the known issues list with their resolutions/recommendations for added visibility.
I appreciate you being a part of the conversation.
Some of you had reporting not finding any of the Wormwrithe Weapon Outfit pages, and not seeing any in guild traders. We've confirmed that these are Phase 2 item drops and you will not see them until then. We have updated the event article to correct that info.
This event has required too much explaining to understand how to participate, let alone properly get rewards. There's too many areas of confusion, especially when players have to reconcile complex information against which content they've purchased or not. I've had to rely on partner resources like ESO-HUB over official articles.

By the way, I got the Wormwrithe belt this morning. Check your sources again.

I don't feel like I can rely on ZOS for information at this point.
We've also seen some questions about whether the new Writhing Wall-themed furnishing items are dropping. We've confirmed that they are dropping as expected. We also wanted to let those of you looking know that you will be able to craft those items in the future, too, so this won't be your only opportunity to obtain them.
The issue is about our expectations not the developer expectations. No one's going to put up with poor drop rates because it matches the developer expectations.

If you want people to get excited about the event, drops need to be generous. It seems like you guys really struggle with this as a whole, but this event is a very pronounced example. I'd rather see the game flooded with drops (recipies, motifs, styles), and have people excited to get rewards than people giving up on the event. ZOS should feel the same, but I'm not sure they do.
Lastly, we want to acknowledge that we do see and are discussing your feedback about the event quest item drop rates and reward box contents.
I hope you guys truly appreciate where this event is for the community at large. Across the forums and Reddit, it's pretty disliked, putting it gently. Time is of the essence. I'd rather you guys make changes, err on the side of generosity, then the event flop and go down in history as yet another debacle. I'm sure you guys have had enough of those.
