Welcome to The Elder Scrolls Online v11.2.0 and our latest content release, Seasons of the Worm Cult Part 2 and Update 48. This is the continuation of the 2025 Content Pass.

In Seasons of the Worm Cult Part 2, Eastern Solstice is now open to you to explore and find all of its secrets. Once home to entrenched Wormcult strongholds, the Stirk Fellowship now marches eastward, determined to strike the enemy at its heart. With the aid of new allies, they must cross the fractured lands of Eastern Solstice and uncover the hidden legacy of the Stone-Nest Argonians if they hope to withstand the corruption that festers there. You will find new delves, world bosses, a new public dungeon, new quests and more to discover in Eastern Solstice.

For base game content, you can expect general bug fixes and lighter update improvements for update 48. Some of those improvements include light combat changes, adjustments to weapon unsheathe timing and additional combat animation memory adjustments for more performant skills. For PTS week one, you can experience a brand-new event premiering in 2026, Hearts Week.

This week long event rewards you for quality time spent with your companions. We have full details below on the event. Please make sure to leave us feedback for improvements to the event.

All PC NA characters have been copied this week. Additionally, to progress the main story, you must first complete the Western Solstice questline and participate in (or wait until) the breach of the Writhing Wall. We look forward to reading through your feedback on the new content and adjustments in this update, which is approximately 3.4GB in size. Thanks, and enjoy Eastern Solstice!

*Please note, we had some trouble getting PTS up today, so the team is extending PTS maintenance window until 6:00pm tomorrow, September 16. The team is working through to figure out the issue point and get that resolved so that PTS can be properly updated. However, we felt it was important to get patch notes over to you today. We will provide an update tomorrow on PTS maintenance.

Seasons of the Worm Cult, Part Two
    Eastern Solstice
As the battle at the Writhing Wall concludes, the eastern reaches of Solstice open to reveal their secrets.

Uncover what remains of Eastern Solstice, forge new bonds, and confront familiar friends and foes alike caught in the Wormcult’s reverse planemeld. The march toward the final battle that will decide the fate of Solstice—and beyond—begins here.

    Accessing Eastern Solstice
Bring Your Main or New (Non-Templated) Character
    • Travel to Solstice via Wayshrine.
    • Join the Phase 3 Writhing Wall event south of Sunport to break through the barrier.
    • Once complete, you may freely enter Eastern Solstice and continue the main quest from the west.

    Jump Straight Into the East
    • Create a Solstice template character.
    • This automatically unlocks the Grand Juncture Pass Wayshrine in Eastern Solstice.
    • Note: To progress the main story, you must first complete the Western Solstice questline and participate in (or wait until) the breach of the Writhing Wall.

Battle for the Writhing Wall Phase 3 Event
In PTS1 the Battle for the Writhing Wall event reaches its exciting conclusion! A rift has appeared at the base of the Writhing Wall. It leads beyond the wall’s defenses into the Worm Cult’s stronghold. Team up with your friends and battle titanic enemies to reach the Soul Tower powering the wall and destroy it. Once the Tower is defeated, a hole in the Writhing Wall will appear that leads into Eastern Solstice.

    How to Participate
    • Travel to the Solstice Rampart camp outside Sunport.
    • Talk to Skordo the Knife to start the third phase of the event quest or follow your allies west to the base of the Writhing Wall and enter the portal.

    What Awaits in Eastern Solstice
    • Four full-length objectives where choices shape the outcome of several of the quests
    • Three delves, each with a skyshard and unique boss
    • A new Public Dungeon: Calvindale Gardens, a botanical haven overrun by the Planemeld

    Base Game
    Unsheathing Timing Update
We are updated the speed of unsheathing in combat for all weapon types to be faster. We would like your feedback regarding how this increased time feels in combat.

    Update to Leaderboards
Going forward, leaderboards are now Account based (except Cyrodiil boards for now). This means you will only have 1 entry per leaderboard, and it will be the highest score for the associated activity. Class specific leaderboards have also been removed. We are taking a look at leaderboards to better streamline the experience overall. The goal is to make leaderboards make a little more sense in a post-subclassing world and to have a more unified and fair experience for players.
With this change, the number of people per leaderboard can be adjusted based on feedback. So please make sure to provide any thoughts on this.

    Combat Animation Memory Reduction
We are implementing some backend changes to reduce the size of combat animation files to lower their impact on the game’s memory. Specifically, you should experience the following:
    • The animation visuals after these changes should be virtually indistinguishable from the existing animations within the game.
    • There will be no impact to light attack weaving or animation cancelling – they should work as they did before.

    New Event: Heart’s Week
    It’s a brand-new week-long event! There’s a lot to go over here, so let’s get started.
The burgeoning festival grounds in Belkarth now host the big-hearted, big-personality, and all around big (he’s a Pahmar-raht) priest of Mara, Kuzam-jo. In his series of four quests, you learn all about the holiday and how love has many forms, from the mythical romance between the lovers Polydor and Eloisa, to the steadfast and unbreakable friendships of a guild of old friends.
Also Sanguine, because the Prince can’t help but make it about themselves.
    The four quests are:
    • Heartsick Follies: Help a theater crew put on a play honoring the love of Polydor and Eloisa.
    • A Toast to Malcontents: Sanguine’s showed up to the party. It could be a great time, or it could be a disaster. Or both.
    • Discord Among Friends: A guild of old friends is riven by strife; Kuzam-jo asks you to help mend fences among this group so that they don’t break up the band over ultimately trivial things.
    • Matters of the Heart: Bring all your learnings back to Kuzam-jo and make a critical decision that will shake the foundations of Tamriel*.
While Hearts Week is active, the following passive modifiers are in place:
    • Companion XP Gain: +100%
      • Note that this, by nature, applies to their skill line XP gain too.
    • Companion Rapport Gain: +50%
    • Companion Rapport Loss: -50% (this can’t reduce rapport loss below 1 for a given trigger; as in real life, there is a minimal level of annoyance you can have with a person sometimes)
During the event, you have a chance to find reward boxes during certain activities while adventuring with friends or with any active Companion. The first one of these you find each day will be a gold-quality box with a better chance for the Good StuffTM. Said good stuff includes pages of the dashing crimson Duelist of Hearts outfit style. The activities include:
    • Defeating Delve or World bosses
    • Defeating Infinite Archive bosses
    • Defeating an Incursion
    • Looting a Treasure Chest
    • Harvesting a resource node
    • Pickpocketing an NPC
These sources will also drop 2 Event Tickets if you have not yet earned them that day. The normal ticket cooldown protection is in place if you fail to loot them from a corpse or chest. Failing to loot the tickets won’t lock you out for the day, but you will have to wait thirty minutes or so before you become eligible for ticket drops again.

You will also receive a purple-quality reward box when completing any of the four event quests. These quests are NOT repeatable and are intended to be a one-time story that you shouldn’t feel obligated to repeat every year.

Reward boxes can include all manner of useful items, including new Companion Gifts! These gifts are themed for each Companion and come in two qualities; the purple-quality gift. Gifts increase your rapport with the chosen Companion, though they must be active to receive the gift. You can use these gifts even when Hearts Week is inactive, but the benefits to rapport are magnified accordingly during Hearts Week (making them more valuable to use during the event itself).

Furthermore, Hearts Week boxes have a rare chance to give you coveted gold-quality Companion jewelry.
And as if that weren’t enough, there are a slate of holiday Achievements to complete that award their own special reward boxes delivered through mail.

The full list of passive benefits and reward vectors are listed in the in-game Help entry for the event if you need to reference them later.

MORPHING COLLECTIBLE NOTE: Assembling morphing collectibles from the 2026 offerings will no longer consume or require the pet. This is by design and intended behavior. You no longer need to reassemble the bat pet to make other offerings; all these collectibles stand alone.

Also note that the Roseblood Bat Pet fragments cost 10 tickets each, as opposed to the previous 5 for consumed base items. The bat will not disappear upon assembling its morphs, as noted. We are currently deciding on how to handle the older collectibles in this regard so as not to leave you with “dead fragments.”

    New Homes
    • Druidspring Conservatory
      • Experience all of Y'ffre's seasons in a single day! This estate blends a Druid-crafted four-season garden and the beauty of a Breton's noble villa. Grab a trowel and start making this garden getaway your own!
    • Cradle of the Worm Colossus
      • Discovered by guild mages in the aftermath of the Writhing Wall campaign, this dread realm hosts a bone colossus personally crafted by Wormblood. Wrest this stronghold from the worms and use the colossus to practice your best combat moves!
    • Both homes will be available for purchase on the Crown Store at a later date, but are currently available to test on the PTS.

    New Furniture
A new weather control furnishing called Sea Witch Weather Totem can be purchased from Rolis Hlaalu, the Master Writ vender or from the crown store. With this furnishing you can control the weather state in your homes!
    • 6 new achievement furnishings are being added and can be purchased from Sabione Adrard, the achievement furnisher vendor, in Sunport after completing the prerequisite achievements.
    • 12 new furnishings can be earned from Antiquity Leads in Solstice, including a Blacksmithing Station!
    • 17 new home goods furnishings can be purchased from Mahei-Jekka, home goods furnisher vendor, in Sunport.

86 new furnishing plans are being sourced in 4 locations.
    • 66 can be found across the Solstice zone.
    • 13 can be found in Solstice’s Antiquity bonus loot when excavating antiquities of intermediate or higher difficulty.
    • 6 can be found in Algae-Laden Sunport Packs which can be fished up in Solstice.
    • 1 can be earned from defeating the Wine Sommelier in the delve Vale of Revelry.

21 new furnishings can be collected from a variety of unique sources in Solstice.
    • 6 furnishings can be found in Algae-Laden Sunport Packs.
    • 6 furnishings can be obtained from defeating enemies while in the public dungeons Deetra Grotto and Calindvale Gardens, or in the delves Sea and Sword Lodge and Lair of the Black Worm.
    • 2 can be found in the Solstice treasure map chests.
    • 2 can be collected from Alchemy and Clothier resource nodes in Solstice.
    • 2 can be mined from Blacksmithing and Jewelry resource nodes in Solstice.
    • 2 can be obtained from Wood resource nodes in Solstice.
    • 1 can be uncovered as bonus loot from antiquities.

    Introduction
Greetings! For the U48 combat cycle, the core focus is to provide bug fixes. There have been a few item set adjustments, so please take a look and let us know what is working and what isn’t. However, the bulk of the combat patch notes this update is meant to help address specific bug issues present.

We’ll continue to lurk and watch over the discussions and experiences you get into to improve the overall gameplay experience Tamriel has to offer in regard to combat. You should see other communications over the coming weeks to help us better understand your pain points in combat as well. We will take the feedback to help guide longer term combat updates as well. Happy reading, safe travels, and we hope to see you in Tamriel!

    combat-and-abilities.png
    General
    • The Toggle Sprint setting, while using keyboard and mouse, now works as intended. The setting should no longer fail to toggle off when crouching or casting abilities.
    • Updated back-end calculations on the following effects to reduce their strain on the server:
      • Pain’s Refuge (Champion Fitness slottable)
      • Maarselok (Monster Set)
      • Mara’s Balm (PvP Set)
    • Going for a dip (entering the swimming state) in any body of liquid or similar substance while crouched or invisible will now properly remove all related effects, fixing some issues where parts of crouch, sneak, or invisibility could remain stuck on your character.
    • Fixed an issue when using the Armory without access to a subclassed skill line could fail to generate the saved Loadout that contained the subclassed skills.
    • Potions, food, and drink effects can now be consumed while casting or channeling abilities. The sheer amount of talent required to do so is not to be questioned.
    Class Abilities
    • Arcanist
      • Curative Runeforms
        • Apocryphal Gate: Fixed an issue where this ability and its morphs would fail to generate Crux if you entered the portal while Sprinting.
    • Warden
      • Winter’s Embrace
        • Sleet Storm: Fixed an issue where the visual effects granted from the Major Protection of this Ultimate and its morphs would constantly flicker when staying inside the radius.
    Guild Abilities
    • Psijic Order
      • Undo: Fixed an issue while using this Ultimate and its morphs where moving backwards would orient your character to face the opposite way you originally faced when taken back in time.
        • In other words, if you are facing north and are back pedaling (moving backwards while retaining your forward facing) and use this Ultimate, your character would end facing south instead.
    Weapon Abilities
    • Dual Wield
      • Whirlwind: This ability and the Steel Tornado morph now deal up to 33% bonus damage to targets under 50% Health.

        [Developer Comment]
We’re adding a small execute scaling bonus across the board for this ability to try and improve engagement between Steel Tornado and Whirling Blades, as well as giving this ability some contextual edge.
    • Restoration Staff
      • Light Attacks: Fixed an issue where Restoration Staff’s Light Attacks would return as a healing ability in some cases, which could cause some bonuses to work improperly with the attack.
    • Two Handed
      • Berserker Strike
        • Onslaught: Fixed an issue where this morph's Penetration granted would appear incorrectly in the UI, using your own resistances to report the amount of Penetration granted rather than the actual amount you gained from hitting the target with the initial hit.
    World Abilities
    • Werewolf
      • Werewolf Transformation
        • Werewolf Berserker: Fixed an issue where the area portion of Heavy Attacks granted from this morph did not line up with the tooltip description and gained an additional 2750 damage that was unlisted. To offset some of this reduction in power that comes with this fix, the Heavy Attack area damage will no longer see a damage penalty and instead scale for the same damage as the base Heavy Attack. This will result in a reduction in power with lower base stats, but an increase in power with higher stats (for example, a character with less than 5000 Weapon or Spell Damage and 22000 Stamina or Magicka would see a decrease in power - but an increase at and above those ranges)

    m8xc04ermn65.png
    Grimoire
    • Banner Bearer: Fixed an issue where the Class Mastery script as an Arcanist paired with this Grimoire could generate Ultimate when failing to generate Crux while outside of Combat.

    itemization-and-item-sets.png
    Item Sets - Current
    • Dungeon Sets
      • Unleashed Ritualist: Fixed an issue where this set caused your Health bar to permanently glow while equipped.
    • Monster Sets
      • Anthelmir's Construct: This set now triggers if dealing damage with a fully-charged Heavy Attack, rather than simply completing a fully-charged Heavy Attack, to increase the time between both attacks so there's slightly more counter-play.
    • Mythics
      • Monomyth Reforged: Fixed an issue where bar swapping while sprinting would sometimes not apply the correct buffs and debuffs to you. Fixed an issue where entering combat with this set equipped while already mounted would forcibly dismount you.
    • Overland Sets
      • Frostbite: Fixed an issue where this set’s bonus against chilled enemies did not function.
    Item Sets – New
    • Xanmeer Genesis
      • 2 Pieces + 1552 Max Stamina
      • 3 Pieces + 1464 Max Health
      • 4 Pieces + 1552 Max Magicka
      • 5 Pieces + When an enemy you have recently damaged dies, after .5 seconds, you and allies within 8 meters of the dead enemy receive 322 Health Recovery, Magicka Recovery and Stamina Recovery for 10 seconds. This effect can occur once every 6 seconds.
    • Huntsman’s Warmask
      • 1 Piece + Dealing damage with a fully-charged Heavy Attack places the Mark of Hircine on your target for 20 seconds. While the Mark of Hircine remains, you deal 8% more damage to the enemy you marked and 4% less damage to all other enemies. If the enemy dies while marked, gain 2418 stamina or magicka, based off your highest maximum resource. This effect can trigger up to every 10 seconds.
    • Fellowship’s Fortitude
      • 5 Pieces + 7511 Armor
      • 10 Pieces + 7308 Max Health
      • 12 Pieces + Gain Major Protection, reducing your damage taken by 10%.
    • Shared Burden
      • 2 Pieces + 1552 Maximum Stamina
      • 3 Pieces + 1464 Maximum Health
      • 4 Pieces + 1552 Maximum Magicka
      • 5 Pieces + When you enter combat, 6% of the damage you take is transferred to your Companion instead. Reduce the damage your Companion takes by 9%. When your Companion dies in combat, they will automatically revive themselves after 12 seconds.

    Vengeance
    • Loadouts are now in Vengeance. A Loadout is essentially a package of skills, stats and perks to give you a basic build for either general purpose fighting (Soldier), support (Battle Medic), front line fighting (Vanguard), or skirmishing (Scout). This UI can be accessed in the Overview tab of the Alliance War UI panel.
      • Loadouts can only be activated/switched while in your starter locations in Cyrodiil; however, Abilities can always be altered regardless of your location in Cyrodiil.
      • Loadouts will save the abilities on your action bars as well as last used Perks from session to session and from Loadout to Loadout.
        • For example, if you have a set of abilities on your Battle Medic Loadout, and switch to your Scout Loadout, when you switch back to Battle Medic, it will re-equip those abilities.
    • Perks are now in Vengeance. Perks are passives to add some extra combat effectiveness and additional bonuses to your character.
      • Perks are divided into 3 categories: Red, Blue and Yellow.
        • You must put the appropriately colored Perk into the appropriate slot.
      • Perks can only be swapped while in your starter locations in Cyrodiil.
      • Known Issue for PTS 1 and 2: You can drag a perk out of equipped slots while outside of your Alliance Base, however the perk is still equipped on the server. If you reload your UI, you will see the perk is still equipped.
    • A new Vengeance Inventory has been created where all the Vengeance specific items will be filtered into.
    • Many systems have been turned back on including Quests, Vendors, Leaderboards, etc.
    • Your standard inventory is now available in Vengeance, however the same item restrictions are in place and gear will not give any bonuses/stats, etc.
      • Consumables other than XP and AP scrolls will not be usable.
    • Scattershot and Oil Catapults are now added.
    • Keep Recall Stones are now added.
    • Channeled Repair Kits are now added. These will be active until cancelled when repairing walls, doors, bridges, milegates and siege!
    • You can no longer ‘relog into Vengeance’ from Character Select. You can still however for all other Campaigns.
    • Siege Damage has been increased in Vengeance
    • Known issue (PTS 1 and PTS 2): Weapons in your Vengeance bag have a gold value and should have none.
    • The Vengeance Campaign will be up for the first week of PTS.

    art_&_animation.png

    • Updated the speed of unsheathing in combat for all weapon types to be faster.

    audio.png
    General
    • Sound now correctly plays when interacting with the settings menu in keyboard mode before loading into the game.
    • Made an adjustment so that Veya Releth’s mouth moves properly when saying her lines.
    Tales of Tribute
    • You should no longer experience a slight echo while playing Tales of Tribute. Echos can distract even the most experienced card slingers.

    dungeons_&_group_content.png
    General
    • You can no longer initiate a vote to kick a group member if a ready check has already started. This prevents rare cases where some players would not be brought into the dungeon.

    fitcyfxyuzz6.png
    Hearts Week
    • Updated Hearts Week achievement text to better convey that they are only obtainable during the event window.
    Discord Among Friends
    • Cleaned up some of the opening scene theater behavior so it is not as choppy.

    housing.png
    Furnishings
    • Increased the chance of getting a furnishing and furnishing plan from the following sources in Solstice:
      • Algae-Laden Sunport Packs.
      • Alchemy, Clothier, Blacksmithing, and Jewelry resource nodes.
      • Antiquity bonus loot.

    General
    • You no longer have a chance of restarting Hero’s Return earlier than expected.
    • Endeavors or Golden Pursuits will now correctly increment for upgrading your inventory size when you buy multiple upgrades at the same time.
    Leaderboards
    • Leaderboards are now Account based (except Cyrodiil boards for now). This means that you will only have 1 entry per leaderboard, and it will be the highest score for the associated activity. Class specific leaderboards have been removed. With this change, the number of people per leaderboard can be adjusted based on feedback. So please make sure to provide any thoughts on this.
