Wanted something different for the upcoming Seasons of the Worm Cult Content
I'm beyond annoyed at having to buy dungeons to get access to the new zone.

I've subbed very nearly from day one (from memory, 2 months after console release), pre-ordered the premium version of all the chapters, and bought most of the zones even tho I had access to them already with plus. So it isn't about the money which won't be much different.

I've purposely never bought a dungeon pack tho.

The main reason is that as a mediocre player I like the idea that if I ever unsub, I'll be able queue for random vet dungeons without worrying about being thrown into a DLC one. It might be a stupid reason and probably won't happen but I like that it's there as an option.

One top of that I love dungeons and will happily run them with friends if it comes up. But out of the last 4, I've been in one of them, just once. I hate that I'm forced to buy DLCs I'll potentially never use just to be able the play the zone - and the community event that always follows because it's my favourite event of the year.

What I detest most of all tho, is that I probably will still buy the pass because if I'm only playing for the zones, what's the point of staying if I don't get it?

Next year I might decide not playing is the better option

The furnishing vault is such a QoL addition for me. That alone makes this more than I could have hoped for.

Sub classes sounds interesting, but I kind of wish it was just limited to active skills, and didn't include passives and ultimates.
Kind of defeats the purpose of a class if you can get 'everything' that makes it unique other than the name.

Seasonal storylines are not what we wanted. Why would you even think people want to be forced to go through even more fomo? Having to play at your pace is anti-consumer.

For the record, the content does not disappear for seasons of the worm cult. You just get the parts at different times. But the content you can still take at your pace once it is live.

But didn't they say in the stream that the stories do go away, but come back during a remix?

In the post show, they just confirmed that you will own the content for Seasons of the Worm Cult.

Then what is the purpose of a seasonal model?

I missed the event so I’ve been catching up here.

I’m always excited for new content, and while I really hope ZoS adds something else into ESO+ to make it better value, I’ll be buying this year’s season pass - it’s not actually that much more than last year’s Gold Road.

And I wanted to say a huge thanks for adding Bluesky to your social platforms too :)

My overall main since 2017 is a Nightblade who only uses dual wield and bow in PvE because for solo questing and adventuring, that's the best. I am SO EXCITED to finally give her sorc skills, though because I have been so bored with her! No way am I ever going to max out another character like she is. I have tried to replace her but end up retiring the alts because they are not maxed like her. She can always be my PvE/crafter main now, because If I get bored I can swap out her combat skill lines. Huge quality of life upgrade for me.

Kinda worried about PvP, tho, my characters there are super specialized class builds. Now what? Everyone is going to get their defining abilities? Do I need to rebuild to stay alive or do damage? I can tell you heals are going to be CRAZY on every single character. Is my main PVP character, a PvP healer, going to even be needed anymore? Well, let's just see how it plays out, I guess. I'm gonna just enjoy the time I have left as the builds I have.

Overall, some awesome upgrades, some disappointments, and some trepidation. In other words, ZOS stream as usual.

Sub-classing sounds intriguing, and I can't wait to try it out on my characters. It sounds somewhat similar to multi-classing in other CRPGs. We aren't losing class identity, since we can still have a "pure class" if we want; but now we'll have the option to build characters from a huge number of multi-class combinations if we wish.

I am also looking forward to exploring the new zone and participating in the big event.

And the furnishings vault will be very helpful for me, and should give players another reason to subscribe to ESO Plus.

I'm a bit on the fence about stackable master writs, because I assume we won't be able to see what a master writ is actually calling for until we take it out of the envelope, at which point it won't be stackable anymore, hence we could still end up with a lot of unstackable master writs for requests we can't fulfill yet because we don't know the required motif, or don't have all of the necessary style, trait, and tempering mats to craft it. It seems more useful for players who do crafting writs on all of their characters each day and then complete all of their saved-up master writs in one session, than for players like me who do writs on just one character and have a backlog of master writs not because we're saving them to do in one go but rather because we aren't able to craft them yet. So it sounds like the devs came up with something they could make work as best as allowed by technical constraints, but whose usefulness will vary from player to player depending on whether or not they can craft any master writ as soon as they pull it out of its envelope.

The proposed approach to class balance is counterproductive and taking things more in the wrong direction - we want a return to class identity. This new approach is taking all the classes and throwing them into a blender until they're unrecognizable. The current metas pretty much play all the same. I would like to see each class play to their strengths and their lore.

The $50 pass a year on top of $15 a month is a bit steep. The pass should come down a bit.

Sorry, why the massive price hike? Maybe I'm missing something but it looks like we're expected to pay over double the cost of a chapter for this season pass, and I'm not seeing that we'll be getting over double the content. Unless ESO+ is included and I missed that, then I'm sorry, but ESO is going to be out of my price range.

Normally, you would be paying for the chapter and Q4 DLC depending on the year. The content pass includes all dungeon content this year, so you do not need to purchase them individually.

@ZOS_Kevin I understand it's probably a minority of players but there are people who, like me, made all efforts to avoid owning DLC Dungeons you kindly gifted us as daily rewards in the past. This type of people would really appreciate a way to still get the prepurchase bonus of the content pass, like the Recall (for which I was ready to pre-order), without being forced to own the DLC Dungeons - usually these people prefer to avoid owning DLC Dungeons to not be forced in a queue for those when they queue for a quick Daily Random Normal Dungeon.
If you could pass this feedback for consideration... 'Cause I would really happily prepurchase the zone(s) and its preorder bonuses, but I'm stopped from doing that by those DLC Dungeons.

@ZOS_Kevin , you've been dancing around this topic and its starting to feel disrespectful. I'm sure you were told to not mention it, but its not going to just go away. Please address the fact that ESO+ is going to be a rip off with the current plan. (And if your response is the corpo-speak "we think we deliver tremendous value", my head is going to explode, so please keep my cranium intact by giving a real answer.)

Edit: And no, linking to the "FAQ", which is really a CAQ (conveniently asked questions) doesn't count as an answer either.
I find it really unfair to acknowledge that someone is only allowed to mention what they're told they can, and then also yell at them for not saying more than they're allowed to. Kevin doesn't dictate what he gets to share with us. If you want to yell at someone, yell at the people who control what the mods can tell us and not the messengers who have no control over what they're allowed to share.
FWIW, the post-game show did mention that any theoretical increase in overland difficulty will be opt-in.
He didn't say it would 100% be opt-in. He said it's the priority to make it opt in and it "most probably" will be, but not that it is going to be for sure.

I'm going to say I really don't like what seems to be the price hike just for 2 dungeons.
In the past expansion upgrades for accounts that already owned previous content was 29.99, which felt like ZOS's way of saying "Hey, thanks for continuing to play with us year-after-year and buying our expansions. Here's a little bit of a discount off the normal 49.99 version since you already have all the previous expansions."
Now the Pass is 49.99 and the justification seems to be that it now includes 2 dungeons.
What does that matter to an ESO+ subscriber? I already had the dungeons, I have access to all of them. It's one of the most well known perks next to the Craft Bag and now, monetarily, people who use this perk are essentially being punished wallet-wise.

This seems like now not only am I paying for ESO+ but I'm going to take a $20 up charge for content I'll have anyway.

It's even worse for those that did 'Deluxe Edition Upgrades' for previous expansions as those were 39.99, granted the extra cosmetic stuff, and gave only the new chapter. Now it's 79.99 with no alternative to reduce the cost for owning all the previous content.

I'd really prefer a pass be offered that only enabled access to the world zones and not the dungeons for the reduced price. Maybe you can call it "Elder Scrolls Online: 2025 Partial Content Pass" and "Elder Scrolls Online: 2025 Deluxe Partial Content Pass" or something along those lines to clarify to customers that it does not include the dungeons or the previous expansions but does still offer the upgrade to the new zones as well as the deluxe offering the cosmetic items included in the 79.99 package.

For the multiclassing/subclassing thing coming up (which sounds awesome and I'm excited for, btw):

If I had previously made an arcanist character and leveled up all their class skills to 50, but I've already deleted that character, when the new update comes will I have access to those arcanist skills, or will I need to level those up again?

Check in an got an answer from the team: So with subclassing, deleted characters do not count. All subclassed skill lines will have to be leveled from level 1. The advantage to having previous experience of getting to rank 50 will simply give you access to it for subclassing without counting towards your "subclassed skill line limit".

Very glad for the Furniture Vault but logging in today after the stream made me wonder.

How will furnishings that drop as crate rewards and can be traded for gems be treated? Often times if I get a furnishing drop I want to keep, I don't bank it but instead drop it in a "storage house" so that I don't accidentally break it down for gems when I actually wanted to keep it for housing projects.

Will crate furnishings in the Furniture Vault show up in the Gem Exchange menu or no? I kind of hope the answer is "no".

Class identity and variety of gameplay was already killed with hybridisation update, then Arcanist was introduced and PvE raids turned into Arcanists+buff bots for them. Now Subclasses are coming when you will be able to merge several classes' useful features into 1 char. IDK really how it can be considered a good direction.
Then, it is very funny how the questions about ESO+ are ignored. I am playing TESO for 6+ years already and I always payed for ESO+. That means I do not own most of the DLCs separately, I get them through subscription. With new dungeons being included into SP, I do not need sub anymore because it is too expensive for craft bag. So what happens, I will loose the access to all the previous DLCs and will have to buy them again? Or keep paying for useless sub + buy SP? I'm sorry but the current quality of this game and treatment of veteran players doesn't justify this amount of money

I'm very much looking forward to the season storyline and group server world event. I'm honestly not sure about the subclasses, I don't think it's something I want but I haven't tried it yet and still haven't got to grips with scribing yet. I guess I don't have to use it and there if I or anyone else wants to as an option. I very much like the idea of what Matt hinted at as a secret which I think involves a shadowy sect. The new island looks very exciting.

Congratulations ZOS! You've finally solved balance by putting the final nail in the coffin of class identity.
What did I spend my crowns for extra character slots on exactly? All my dps characters in the coming patches will be running the same skills anyway, no matter the class. So will my healers and my tanks.
This change could have been fine 11 years ago, when people were still upset that the game had classes in the first place. Nobody who hasn't played ESO yet is going to look at these changes and go "Huh, now that Subclassing is a thing, I will check out ESO, because that's what's been missing!" Who are you catering to here, ZOS? You are catering to the Nightblade that wants Corrosive Armor on top of their invisibility. You are catering to the Warden who wants to use Streak during their Northern Storm. This will be a disaster for PvP and hurt replayability for PvE because all classes are the same boring homogenous soup.

I went into this stream with hopes for the future, and some of the changes you announced are cool and would be exciting if you didn't also decide to walk back another decision that you made 11 years ago. At this rate, ESO 2 would have made me more excited than this, because I can see that this will lead us down the same path that hybridization did - short term gain, long term loss of build diversity and overall enjoyment.
This Bosmer was tortured to death. There is nothing left to be done.

I'm excited for the new content and quality-of-life changes, but I feel like it's time to rethink the price model of ESO. I was shocked by the price of the Season Pass which, as someone else has pointed out, really just feels like a rebranded chapter, only parceled out more slowly. It wouldn't be so shocking if the game were easier to play without ESO+, but without it, it's mostly inventory management. I'm having a hard time justifying paying for ESO+ (mainly for craft bag and now for furnishing vault) on top of the yearly cost of a season. It just feels very steep to pay the price of a AAA game on top of a subscription, and it kills a lot of excitement I have for any of the updates to this game.

But remember, the woman talking with Lambert said that some Seasons may only be 3 or 6 months long. ZoS wanting more money for less content is the new norm, sadly.

Is this like going back through time in Tamriel? There are 4 DLCs? Is this a new chapter, confused since just came out, I understand a different approach is wanted, so is this not considered a chapter, but is a chapter? Is the Content Pass the entire 4-set?

Any chance for a third cheaper purchase option for the content pass that excludes the DLC dungeons from the bundle not all of us want them or at least not to own permanently, since it screws up the option of being able to exclude the DLC dungeons from group finder when un subscribed to ESO+.

Subclassing seems cool, Worm Cult as an antagoinist is fine but the setting is completely unappealing. When this game is changing its cadence of release and we're probably going to get less content the last thing the game needs is another High Isle location. I would have preferred mainland Black Marsh over this weird Summerset asset re-use. I think Black Marsh would have been a lot more intersting than some made up island.

I put somewhat excited just to be nice. In all honesty, I'm not excited at all. I really don't care what happens. It is really unlikely that things could happen which would make me invested in the games future. That's not me trying to dump on people, it's just how I feel.

I'm here to stay regardless if what comes is good or bad. In recent times I've most often spoke about Tales of Tribute and that mini game having terrible design aspects that are intentionally amplified due to whatever the designer vision is make me understand that there isn't much of a point in caring that much about the game. Even though there have been many good changes to ESO and I think that ESO is a good game, the overall good is not congruent to what I think is an overall good.

And that is my overall experience from other games too. What happens is going to happen regardless of what I want or think is good. And I seem to be an outlier in what I think is good. So though I have common overlap with others, I just can't expect any aspect of any game to be tailored around what I think is good with any speed, for any length of time, or with any consistency.

And that's fine. I already decided long ago that ESO is not just the last MMO that I'll play in any serious way, but also the last game for me in general. The gaming industry as a whole is incredibly toxic in ways that I don't care to count and I'm happy to share my last days as a "gamer" with ESO and those here. For the love of all that is good, just bend to my Tales of Tribute will though.

P.S. I think that ESO is on it's way to maintenance mode. That's not what I want, but just my uninformed opinion. Take what you will from that.

P.P.S Holy smokes that is an expensive upgrade. Remember when you used to get an art book, statue, coin, and physical CD for that price? Lord Thornos remembers.

I would imagine that's probably still a concern due to the potential for additional database/performance issues. I think the pricing model is out of line. I feel like $50 is way too expensive, especially when you look a Gold Road being $30. I have plus, and now it feels like I have to pay twice. This may be the first yearly thing I don't buy, and to be honest, the fact that you folks think that I should be happy to pay twice for content is insulting. To the point that not only am I not buying the yearly thing, I'm thinking I just may not renew plus this year either. And I'm saying that as both a guild and trial lead. And for anyone else the way you know they don't care is the silence on this issue from ZoS.

I have a question about the DLC Dungeons..

I have a few friends who don't like DLC dungeon content and avoids ESO+ because they want to avoid those specifically.

Will there be an option to purchase the zone itself instead of having the DLC dungeons combined?

Will there be an option to disable DLC Dungeons in some sort of account settings, So you could still Que for Random dungeons without having to manually uncheck them and still have it count as your random daily?

Will ESO+ people who already have the DLC Dungeons get something extra since they already have said dungeons if they bought/buy this season?

I have to admit, the fact that you are introducing subclassing surpasses my wildest expectations. There will be some very overpowered combinations that will need some polishing, but it is just amazing that you are going to make this a reality.

Visual improvements of older zones and a Molag Bal themed story line are also very much appreciated.
