Agreed. Like why is it a lot of high elves right outside Black Marsh coast along with argonians? It's such a weird combination, and it all feels like such a weird mishmash of reused items.

Seasonal storylines are not what we wanted. Why would you even think people want to be forced to go through even more fomo? Having to play at your pace is anti-consumer.

For the record, the content does not disappear for seasons of the worm cult. You just get the parts at different times. But the content you can still take at your pace once it is live.

But didn't they say in the stream that the stories do go away, but come back during a remix?

I am positively suprised by the announced content

Big drawback is the lack of information on the pass and monetisation:

how does it work with ESO + (iI guess its in addition to ESO+ but it wasn´t clarified) especially for the dungeons
what is with Seasonal content in the next season, will it be purchesable with crowns and/or included in ESO+

We have a FAQ for the Content Pass: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/675896/eso-2025-content-pass-faq/p1?new=1

If ESO+ subscribers who are already paying for the two dungeon packs don't get a rebate on the season pass, then that is a very good reason to cancel my subscription. That would be extremely sleazy.

Sounds like a little well intentioned chaos with respect to the sub classes. All in all I think they are moving in a good direction. I love the idea of taking care of unfinished business in story lines so over all thumbs up.

Just to note, the Pre-Purchase for the Season Pass is $49.99USD right now.

Also the code for the pet isn't working on Console in-game.

Not intending to give them more money.

How will the switch to Seasons change how content gets added to the base game, like old Chapters or DLCs did?

Will old content like The Dark Brotherhood, Orsinium, or Thieves Guild ever be added to the base game?

What will happen to the Seasons when they're a few years old, will they also become part of the base game?

Any word on overland content difficulty would be welcome.

Other than that, I'm very excited for sub classing. I've said several times that class lock is dissonant to the idea of Elder Scrolls, and hearing that expressed on stream was great.
Thank you for coming to my T E D talk

I don't know, it sounds a lot like the story of Topal the Pilot, high elves exploring tropical Tamriel. There's definitely lore on High Elves skulking around in that area, so I'm excited to see how they explain it.

Summerset should have been part of the base game years ago like they did with Morrowind.

Feedback: Solstice looks interesting, and I'm always up for more argonian content.

But Seasons scare me. Asking us to pay for content we have no preview of (Q3-4) is really iffy.
How will those seasons interact with the game after they end? Is there content still there, or does it disappear? We need more information on how this works going forward before we shell out this much money.
I mean, I assume the dungeons and new trial will still be available, but what about Solstice itself?

I don't know much about how Seasons work in other games/MMOs, but all I've heard has been really off-putting. I am not thrilled at all that ESO is moving to a similar/same structure. Innovative? No. It's really not.

It has become much more expensive. But what should I overpay for? This game is already 10 years old and today its cost has doubled for me. Previously, I did not pay for q2 dlc because I pay an annual subscription. Now I will actually pay for the same content only twice as much.

This is surely a bad joke. So we went from 14 unique classes down to 7 and now down to 2. Why even bother anymore and delete classes and all endgame content including PvP and just let people zone quest with light attack spamming.

For something that's being labeled an experiment, the earlier we find out what that actually entails the better and communication would be greatly appreciated. We've been in the dark for years and the letter indicated that we would finally be addressed about that specifically today. Cross-posting from the other thread.
I really can't underscore this enough.

Those of us who have been hoping for this have been doing so for years...

... and even if you haven't been looking forward to it, keeping people in the dark on how this might work is not a good idea. All it does is continue wild speculation.

Please, please, please, for the sake of everyone's sanity, those who are excited, and those who are tepid, give us some answers? Communicate a little? I ask this as nicely as possible.

I certainly hope that we hear more about it than just this post today.

Difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 11 years. 8 paid expansions. 29 dungeon and zone DLCs. 45 game changing updates including A Realm Reborn-tier overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. Just because Cadwell Silver&Gold failed doesn't mean the game should be brain dead easy forever.

"ESO doesn't need a harder overland" on YouTube for a video of a naked level 3 character w/ no CP allocated AFKing in front of a bear for a minute and a half before dying if you don't believe me change is needed.

@ZOS_Kevin so you guys are effectively taking away from eso plus and gonna charge the same... I buy all chapters always have, but my issue here is fact the this season pass now includes all dungeons as well so in turn taking away one of the eso plus perks for the same cost. kind of a ripoff in this sense.

That is unfortunate. I waited months for this live because of the expectations set by Matt's letter, with the belief that it was going to be addressed. I get that we aren't entitled to anything but for me, and I think a lot of other people, it's a make-or-break issue for the game. I just wish they were able to say anything at all about it.

There's a bug on the Xbox store, the wrong price is showing for the 2025 Content Pack. It is showing £84.99 GBP instead of £44.99 GBP.

My fear is that subclassing is going to kill the last shred off uniqueness they had. Hybridisation killed a huge amount off difference in builds and scribing went over that and made it worse. My fear is that with subclassing we are just gonna see 1 specific build run around and that's it. We will see though. But its a big shadow over the coming year.

Sorry if this has been brought up and I missed it, a lot of posts and kind of hard to keep up.

The announcement says the pass and content is all available in the Elder Scrolls store, but no mention of console store(s).

I'm on Playstation, and as far as I can tell, none of this has been added to the PS store. And the new dungeons haven't been added to the crown store.

Are they going to be available later, or is this part of the new model, content can only be purchased through your Elder Scrolls store?

I understand you can't go into detail but tons of players have been agonizing about this for months on end. Can you just let us know if the current plan is that this something players opt in to or a complete overhaul of difficulty in the game that everyone will experience? We don't need details. We know those can't be provided. We know that plans could be changed. But months of anxiety about that question has made left many players anxious and nervous and has completely colored anticipation. If there is anything at all to share on just that one question, it would do wonders to shape anticipation and discussion in a positive direction.

I'm not looking forward to the subclassing. It looks good on paper, but once executed... it's going to become problematic.. especially in PVP. Everyone is going to be using Streak... which is ANNOYING!

and talking about PvP.... The world of PvE gets another region... and another TRIAL and PvP players are still left in the dark with no improvements in Cyrodill. yes, we recently had vengeance, but it was only a test.. its now back to boring Ballgroup and bombing-infested campaign that's making a lot of people miserable and frustrated.

@ZOS_GinaBruno and @ZOS_RichLambert nor any of the developers that were in the prerecorded video didn't say anything about any improvements of Cyrodill nor did they announce nor talk about the data that they've collected during the vengeance testing event.

The Pvers get more content while the PvPers get treated like dirt by the developers.

    Some answers for you @allochthons.
How will those seasons interact with the game after they end?
    • They will interact as normal. You will be able to tackle content however and whenever you like. It's just changing when you get the content and how you originally interact with it, like getting access to the second half of Solstice after the Writhing Wall event.
Is there content still there, or does it disappear?
    • The content for Seasons of the worm cult will still be there. Once you the content release and you pay for it, you own it.
We need more information on how this works going forward before we shell out this much money.
    • We have an FAQ on Content Pass here.
I mean, I assume the dungeons and new trial will still be available, but what about Solstice itself?

Sorry, why the massive price hike? Maybe I'm missing something but it looks like we're expected to pay over double the cost of a chapter for this season pass, and I'm not seeing that we'll be getting over double the content. Unless ESO+ is included and I missed that, then I'm sorry, but ESO is going to be out of my price range.
