Alchemy certification ingredients missing

Hello I`m trying to get done the alchemy certification quest but I`m missing the mountain flowers. I did the recipe wrong so I lost that item while doing the potion so I tried to drop the quest and take it again but now the ingredient is not appearing when it suppose to.

You'll need to run around the zone looking for Mountain Flower or some other ingredient that will work as a substitute. Since Alchemy resource nodes (plants) can spawn different flowers, you might need to harvest all of the Alchemy nodes you find, then check them again after they respawn.

You can also ask in zone chat if anyone would be so kind as to send you a Mountain Flower, as a lot of players will be only too happy to send you one.

Following is a list of Alchemy ingredients to help you see which plants might work as a substitute for Mountain Flower:

But depending on the order that the effects are listed in, using an alternative ingredient might result in a potion that has a different name than what you've been asked to create, even though one of its effects is the same as the requested potion.

Mountain Flower:
- Increase Armor
- Restore Health
- Maim
- Restore Stamina

I think unfortunately the quest is designed that way to prevent people from endlessly picking it up / farming the ingredients / dropping the quest / repeat.

A mountain flower from another source should work though... as suggested, you might be able to harvest one if you run around looking for alchemy nodes (not the most efficient method) or get a nice person to send you one if you ask in zone chat!

You could also potentially buy from a guild trader, though I think it's unlikely that anyone would be selling just one mountain flower $:\$

Ok so i definitely need the item because the quest requires you have the flower to complete the quest.

So where is the best place to farm this things? No one wanted to give me 1 for free and definitely they are quite expensive in the guild store

Are you on PC/NA? If you post your @name I'll send you a couple.

The issue with farming them is there's not a specific location for "mountain flower" - alchemy nodes can spawn as different kinds of flowers. Starter zones like Kenarthi's Roost are usually good places to farm, it's just that there's no guarantee about finding the exact flower you need (and often rng seems to "know" what you need and give you literally everything else).

EDIT: Forgot - the Hollow City in Coldharbor (if you can get there yet) has a lot of flowers inside the city walls - that's another good place to try.
