I thought I had heard one of the Devs talk about a new housing item that could contain all crafting tables. I thought it was going to be for this update.

    Did I imagine it?

    Good afternoon,

I am excited to be able to use provisioning stations to fillet fish! can we please get some insight as to how / if the meticulous disassembly passive affects our chances for gaining Perfect Roe.

There has been speculation as to whether there is a loot timer (i dont believe there is) and also how our RNG loot table is calculated.

In general, it would be nice to have clarity on how our loot tables are calculated, be it when we log onto our character, when we zone into an instance or when we simply open the crafting UI.

    Regards,

Can I just say that the new furniture offerings are stunning? I'm literally swooning over the new Telvanni furnishings! I don't know who designed this stuff but they did an outstanding job.

I want to check out the new ship house, but I am concerned. I remember when the two player mount was released on the PTS, it caused anti cheat detection to ban the second rider because they were moving without inputting any movement keys.

I'm worried that the ship house might be the same case, and I really don't want to be banned for just looking at the ship house. I don't know if it works the same as the mount for that to be a possibility. Has anyone looked at the new ship house yet?

Don't worry, ship doesn't move at all - to be honest it's rather poor illusion by background islands, which move like backgrounds in old movies - you can even see that they are flat and rounded :D

Ahh thank you! They maybe did it this way to avoid the same problems they had with the two seater mounts. So that's a bit of a relief in a way.

All new houses are great, but have the same old problem. Just too big.

House available for gold is well-designed, I liked it a lot, but has only 600 slots. It's not nearly enough to furnish inside OR outside. Definitely not both.

Ship... Honestly, when I first found out that a ship house was being added to the game, I was like 'OK, I guess when I'll see it, I would want to murder someone'. Because that was exactly what I wanted for many years, to have my own ship that is not a part of a giant house like 'Aldmeri Grotto'. And here it is - but only for crowns!
But after I explored it, I was relieved. I don't want it at all. Designers did a great job, I like it a lot. Especially the part with small cabins that can become a great crafting/storage area. But the ship should be twice as small or has twice as much furnishing slots. Preferably twice as small. I mean... captain's quarters alone are bigger than some houses!

I don't want to complain and all, but I honestly don't understand why all the houses are designed like that. Too big, too great. I see that ZOS is trying to give people what they want, especially lately (hide shoulders, choose time of day in the house, lighthouse on the island, now the ship, it all was requested a lot). But people also requested smaller houses (and for gold). Probably much more that a ship or an island. Just nice small houses. For gold.

Anyway. Furnishings are great. Necrom ones would be great for vampires, as well as some from Apocryph. I also love Telvanni ones. A stunning job.
To be the Chosen One really sounds like lots of fun,
But in the end you'll just be someone's lunch

The emissary's enclave is fabulous. The ship house is fine, but perhaps a 6k crown house instead of a 10k+ one.

By the 8! The Fair Winds is a dream come true! I was of the mind that if the house had less than 700 slots it would be an immediate pass.

This glorious ship is everything I could possibly want from a boat house and it will allow me to utilize the max number of slots. I attempted to make the Colossal Aldmeri Grotto into a boat house, but I just did not like the grotto aspect of things in the background. This house has so much potential, I'm probably going to spend a good portion of my PTS time decorating it. I also love using the chronometer of the tribunal to set the time to midnight so I can sail with the sky full of stars.

I love that I can go to each of the alliances by interacting with the ship's wheel. I also love the logic of how the ship actually works especially when one falls overboard :D

Of course, one change I had to make was to purge the Daggerfall lion from the bow. I used 3 Maormer Ship's Prows and a Clockwork Sphere. Now the bow is more to my liking hehe

    Favorite Foods and Potions
    https://media.giphy.com/media/3otPoTggaYFNd1FdAI/giphy.gif
    • Parse Food for PvE:(DPS) Ghastly Eye Bowl (increases Max Magicka by 4592 and Magicka Recovery by 459 for 2 hours).
    • Gold/Purple Food for Sorc PvP and Meme Tanking:(PvP) Clockwork Citrus Filet (increases Max Health by 3326, Health Recovery by 406 [useful if stage 1 vampire], Max Magicka by 3080, and Magicka Recovery by 338 for 2 hours). Witchmother's Potent Brew (Increase Max Magicka by 2856, Max Health by 3094, and Magicka Recovery by 315 for 2 hours.
    • Trash Potions when feeling cheap: Regular CP150 Essence of Magicka pots that I obtain frequently from playing the game or Crown Tri-Restoration Potion obtained from dailies.
    • Crafted Potions: Essence of Spell Critical (Bugloss, Lady's Smock, and Water Hyacinth). Without magelight this is my primary means of obtaining Major Prophecy on my Sorc, which increases my Spell Critical Rating. This also heals and restores magicka. Essence of Immovability (Columbine, Corn Flower, and Wormwood). I use this in PvP, since this gives me stealth detection, knockback immunity, and restores magicka (better to use it when competent allies are nearby, since it might reveal that you are surrounded by multiple players in stealth and you will not have an emergency pot available after use). Essence of Invisibility with only 2 ingredients (Blue Entoloma, Namira's Rot, Nirnroot, or Spider Egg). I use this in PvE content that requires stealth and if I need more speed I'll use Rapid Maneuver before using the potion. Essence of Invisibility with 3 ingredients (Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma, and Namira's Rot). Very useful in PvP alongside the vampire Dark Stalker passive, since you'll be invisible, ignore movement speed penalty while in Crouch, and you'll have a 30% movement speed boost from Major Expedition (I always have this slotted when riding from point A to B in PvP land, since gankers are always lurking). My templar will mostly use Essence of Health (Tri-Stat Potion) Ingredients: (Mountain Flower, Columbine, and Bugloss).

    • What are your general thoughts on new houses?

    Boat is perfect.

Inn room : meh, just a little inn room, an appartment would have been better.
Necrom's house ? Big and shiny, feeling a vibe like Star Wars' Onderon met Morrowind. Nice, but I would have preferred some more "modest houses", something at 300-400 slots in dunmer style like a small mushroom pod telvanni house. We are missing classic and small sized houses.
    • What do you think of the new furnishings?

Gorgeous Telvanni new furnishing (Necrom seem like vampire furniture tried to copulate with Clockwork City furniture), Apocrypha looks nice.

BUT ! We are lacking of :
    - Mushrooms (small) and flora
    - Building structures (I was dreaming of Telvanni bridges, stone and fungus walls, stairs), Zenimax you missed a great opportunity there
    - Magical lights, hey, we're in the Telvanni Peninsula, land of crazy dunmer wizards
    • Do you have any other general feedback?

We need building structures furnitures so bad and classic/small sized houses.

I think its more like the performance and programming that would be required to move 700 furnishings constantly and reliably would be a coding nightmare no one at ZoS could be paid enough to try and accomplish lol

    • What are your general thoughts on new houses?

Absolutely LOVE the ship house. Its been a long time coming tbh and its an almost definite buy from me, which is nice (and bad, for my wallet) to say after the last few houses that I wasn't super impressed with. Kudos to the team on this one.

    • Do you have any other general feedback?

I do love the large ship but its also a little... big?

Not everybody needs a Galleon sized ship. I love it but I wish it was smaller.

In the future, it'd be nice to see them add an additional ship house exactly like this one, just with a smaller ship (and maybe a bit more generic than alliance-aligned in design).

Like a Schooner or Brigantine (but still with generous furnishing allotments ; ) )

Not at all disappointed with the furnishings. There are some really cool glassy wardrobes in Apocrypha that don't seem to have patterns, but I suppose you have to save something for Rolis to sell. ;)

The new Telvanni items are super creative. Such a great job, there. They're the best, aren't they? Love their stuff.

Um. Big houses, too many rooms, not enough furnishing slots. Same ole/same ole. Would prefer one of those cozy little buildings in that city in the middle of Apocrypha. Strangely, you guys never seem to absorb the messaging on 'smaller is better'.

WOW, what a ship!!! Instant buy, no questions asked!!! (well, just a couple of questions...)

Love the 'see through' windows in the captain's quarters, ginormous immersion, really have the feeling that the ship is moving, but stable so you wont get motion sick. HOWEVER, the windows in the Crew's Quarters are not 'see through' windows or they are too dirty to look at anything. I think they are not 'see-through', anyway to change this?? This is the only drawback about the ship. Really love the steering wheel, you can chart your course to one of three destinations!!! Very cool, but please have a re-entry point so we can enter the ship from all three destinations.

Love both houses, both are big and the perfect size for me, both are an instant buy!!!

Personally, I rather enjoy that we have some big houses. The Fair Winds house is one of them I am glad is large. I like doing large builds, and I never had trouble filling space because I do not concentrate all of my items into one area. While it would be nice to have more than 700 slots for a large build, I can also understand why it needs to be limited.

That aside, I absolutely love the new Fair Winds house, and the ability to interact with the wheel to get to the starter areas is awesome. I do wish it did not have all that Breton furniture, which I have always considered very ugly. Lets get some more High Isle furniture in there in place of the Breton, or change it out for Leyawiin. Both would fit well with the ship.

The ship looks impressive but it made me sad with its simple and straightforward room layout. Proper closed off rooms, no excessive open spaces, straight paths to everywhere as opposed to nigh labyrinthine corridors or room-to-room connections. This design philosophy should be applied to house floor plans more often.

Yes i agree, my first reaction was to think they took an image and added it on a background, but poorly.

If they did that, rather than take a copy of buildings, boat and differents views, they should have added the whole including the sky too (or just create a false background that could repeat)

I was standing in the new large house, and while i was seeing the views further, it was way better than what we see on the boat.

Please blur the high border of the view (buildings, boats, trees ....) so they dont looks like cut and copy

The ship is beautiful, but as usual way too big for a 700 slot house. We keep saying this, and yet you keep doing this...

Furthermore, I feel like there should be a hatch on the top deck leading directly down to the lower deck. Having to go through and around to either the captain's quarters or the crew quarters feels pretty weird.

Also on the topic of doors, there's no door at the fore of the ship leading out to the bowsprit. Why not?

And last petty comment: I love being able to get up in the crow's nests, but it would be great if I could also get to the middle of the mast. You can see there's a platform there, and a way to climb (in theory), but as it is you can't even jump down and land on it without bouncing madly on the rigging to your eventual demise against the deck.

ZOS “we’d like to get your feedback on houses”

90% of players “all the new houses are too big for the number of furnishing slots, we want smaller houses”

ZOS “Ok so in response to that here’s more gigantic houses that are too big to furnish even with 700 slots”

That being said, I love the ship… but there’s too much space for the number of slots. As usual.

    A few major points:

    - Love the idea of a boat house.

    - LOVE that we can buy a house with gold and not have to spend crowns.

    - Really excited for the all-in-one crafting stations (even though I know they're not for this June update)

Hi, Here are my thoughts about the new houses and furnishings:
    • I really love the new houses. More importantly, we finally get a gold-available house once again this year. I really think it was a missed opportunity in High Isle chapter last year to not have a gold-available house. But am really happy with this new one. It looks really unique as well. I always love houses with clean and unique colorful walls. For this 600 slot house, the inside is colorful, clean, and very unique. It's like walking into some egyptian tomb, or some high tech space ship in some aspects. I do think that this house should be a 700 slot house in its own right, because the courtyard is very big.
    • As for the Ship house. I really love it. I remember posting on the forums about new house ideas few years ago, and a ship house was one of them. I am very happy to see it be implemented. Also, the ship itself looks very clean and elegant, which is another plus for me. Something unique I noticed is, the ship has windows that are see-through now, and can see the sunlight come through them, and we can see outside. That's a minor thing that I loved.
    • The furnishings this time around are really amazing. I'm not sure why, but this current round of new furnishings, especially the mushroom/telvanni ones, really appeal to me. They have renewed a housing spark within me. I haven't checked which ones are craftable, and which ones are crown-locked, but I hope all/majority of them are craftable.
    • Perhaps this might be released later in the year, but having a house in Apocrypha would be nice. Especially one in Chroma Incognito. A psychedellic house.
  • Daedralist
Emissary’s Enclave shares the same idea as Alinor Crest Townhouse such that, they both are in the chapter city; close to wayshrines, bankers/merchants, writ crafting area, they both have the same respective styles matching the zone to ita race, they both have multiple levels, they both have an outside area that overlooks the city.

They also both share the 300/600 item limit. Which is weird, cause the Emissary Enclave is bigger than the townhouse. Especially the outdoor courtyard. Not only does it have 2 different points of access from the inside of the house, it has a bigger Open view of the port, compared to townhouses barred view. You can even build a little bit further out the courtyard expanding it further It also has a side area with overlooks the mountains.

My opinion is that the space of Emissary Enclave is closer to Cold harbour estate, and should also share the furniture limit, which is at 350/700.

It's beautiful though. Aesthetically pleasing. And it matches the dark elf tone.

-Ship house is cool but not for my taste
-inn room is nice and spacious
-the regular home would have been better placed lower to access the water, disappointing. I do like appreciate that you can buy it with gold.

-new furnishings are all well designed but one gripe would be the levitating books, perhaps have some that go up and down in a column instead of in a circular motion there's 3 doing that.

The ship house is really cool and fresh. IMO, it does however repeat a recurring problem with expensive crown houses, in that it's too big to furnish within the slot limit.

The inn room is an inn room.

I am really pleased to see a house will be available for gold this year. Thank you for this. It looks neat and I'll absolutely be buying it as soon as I can. But, it should have a higher furnishing slot limit, given its size. There are so many furnishings, houseguests, services, trophies, etc to put in houses - you might find that you sell more of them if you let us place more of them.

I love the new furnishings. One suggestion to add later in the year would be some funky magical lightning.

The boat is really interesting overall. I was surprised how large it is.

I think the choice to make it Daggerfall themed is strange, unless there are plans for more ships in the future?

It would be interesting if it could be given the opportunity to add more ports of call to thew ship, and also if the ship came with a decoration version of itself that you could set out in the water at homes near the sea, like Hundings, Dawnlight Palace, Foragemaster Falls, Lucky Cat Landing, and the new Emissary Enclave. It would be extra cool if it also came with a dingy deco that you could click to be transported to the ship.

I think the captains quarters could use a stairway to the upper aft deck, and maybe a wall between the fore and aft halves of the room to make it easier to make a separate work and rest area.

The furnished version of the Emissary Enclave has too many rooms with tables as the centerpiece, at least one should be decorated more like a parlor.

The Necrom furniture style overall is really nice. That said, every time we get Dunmer content we never get matching depictions of the Three all in the same style, I wish ZOS would take this opportunity to rectify that. The closest we have gotten are the rugs and banners from Morrowind, but no statues or direct depictions.

The Cliffracer Skeleton Stand uses the model of a Cliff Strider, not a Cliff Racer. They are related, but are not the same thing. It needs to be renamed to Cliff Stider Skeleton Stand.

Ahh thank you! They maybe did it this way to avoid the same problems they had with the two seater mounts. So that's a bit of a relief in a way.

I think its more like the performance and programming that would be required to move 700 furnishings constantly and reliably would be a coding nightmare no one at ZoS could be paid enough to try and accomplish lol

    That's true. I don't know why I didn't think of that before lol :D
