I'm guessing we'll have to do one of the Murkmire daily quests to get the event tickets. Just reminding people that you have to do the first part of the main Murkmire quest-line in order to get access to the daily quest givers, then the quest-givers will appear near the Murkmire fighter's guild in the southern part of the map. The quest gives a skill point too, so it's not too bad a deal.

Maybe just maybe since @ZOS broken Psijiic ultimate with Murkmire update, they can fix it after a year?!

"Difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 24 DLCs. 40 game changing updates including A Realm Reborn-tier overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver&Gold as a "you think you do but you don't"-tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game." - @AlexanderDeLarge

There is one daily quest giver that doesn’t unlock until the end of the main story.

@SydneyGrey, You might be thinking of a different zone?
For Murkmire, port in to the town of Lilmoth (wayshrine is automatically unlocked if you own the DLC or have ESO+), and head south-ish. Just past the guild traders, there is a notice on one of the posts, calling for brave hunters. Pick that up and turn it in at Bolu (the World Boss daily quest giver), a bit further south across the shallow waterway. Both of the Lilmoth daily quest givers are available to you now (and the delve daily is available even without turning in that notice). You don't need to do any part of the main questline to unlock those dailies (although it's the main questline that awards skill points, and has some pretty amazing quests). The questgivers are sorta just outside the mage guild hall, IIRC.
Note that these dailies can reward you with a dead-water motif page (sometimes) in the reward urn; I think the other village daily (unlocked late in the questline) has a chance of giving Elder Argonian motif pages in the reward urn. I'm hoping we get double reward urns for doing dailies during the upcoming event.

Update: after the official ZoS post also mentioned needing to do the first bit of the main quest, I want to head back in on another toon and check again!
Update2: Ok so on another toon, I ported to Lilmoth, picked up the "Death Hunt Awaits" notice quest south of the guild traders, turned it in at Bolu, and could immediately pickup world boss dailies. The delve daily quest was available immediately even without doing the Death-Hunts mini-quest. The Murkmire event announcement mentions a "By River and Root" quest (in the main questline), but that is only to unlock the third Root-Whisper Village daily repeatable quest. You don't have to do the third daily to get good loot during the Murkmire event, but it the third daily does give you a chance of getting Elder Argonian motif pages, so double drops might be nice there.

I went into Murkmire with a new character just a few days ago in anticipation of this event, and neither daily quest giver appeared until I'd done the first part of the main quest. I might have gotten the quest directly from that imperial woman, though, and not the notice on the post. I'll go into my game and check this again in a minute, and edit this post again with the result.
*Edit* I was finally able to find that post. You were right ... there's a post that says "Death hunt awaits" on it. How the heck did I miss that?

It might just be that I came from SWTOR, a bottom of the barrel, money hungry mmo with no good content, but to think that people are actually complaining about events and content being given constantly is.. eye rolling. Be appreciative of them rolling out content and events, because they could easily resort to what SWTOR has done, and made all raids useless, PvP worthless, and access to any sort of basic function of the MMO including Sprint, hidden behind a pay wall. Thank you @ZOS for constantly bringing new things to the table and giving us events that you spent hours out of your collective days to produce.

If you have been playing since late 2018, you may already own the Murkmire DLC as it was one of the daily rewards back in December 2018.

The quests in the zone are quite fun, despite an annoying navigation hassle in the north-northeast section of the zone. The Zanmeer house’s aquarium is also very nice, although I wish ZOS had filled it with slaughterfish or some new sort of aquatic creature.

It's generally 24-to-48 hours before the event, yeah. And there's nothing "lately" about it; that's how it's been for quite a long time.

How anyone is even capable of thinking that's a reasonable amount of notice completely eludes me, but there it is.

Another MMORPG game I play has much better communication with its user community. They are more forthcoming with info, give people a heads up well in advance of events, are actually seen in game playing with users (they have special tags by their character name) and even answer questions in game during events. MUCH more transparent and user friendly than ZoS. A great game, but there are many things about this company’s actions/inactions I do not appreciate or understand ...

I liked the part where they told us in advance all the dates for the four events in Q4 2018. Can we go back to that? Much better than the typical 1-2 day routine they did before and have now picked up again.

I agree that it's nice to have an overview of the year's events well in advance, even if the more detailed information about each event isn't posted until the day before that event begins.

But the problems that cropped up in 2019, where some events had to be postponed due to technical issues, may have thrown a monkey wrench into that sort of long-range announcement.

In any case, the early hints that we do receive are usually enough for us to guesstimate the starting and ending dates, so we should know by now to check the announcements on the day before the guesstimated starting date.

Yeah, we can take educated guesses still, though it was better when they said “available during [insert event name] from [date 1] to [date 2],” since then we knew some of the range involved. With Murkmire we just get “during the event — stay tuned!”

The lack of consistency is a bit part of what’s irking me. They started to become more communicative and more specific. Then they not only went back to the old arrangement but have now started to include even less information than that.

Running right smack dab through the middle of PC's "redownload the whole game" patch seems... ill-timed.

Cut the daily login rewards down for the month so that those redownloading don't feel like they are missing out, but run an event - complete with event tickets - during it.

That's... confusing. And not consistent prioritizing.

Timing of the event = bad.

Also "In addition to the new boxes, during the event, you can receive bonus rewards from the following: Blackrose Prison arena bosses: Additional chance to receive bonus items as drops"...Really? Double drops guaranteed in other events. BRP, only a chance. :#

Agreed, we have always had guaranteed ticket drops from, say, bosses in the past. Why suddenly only "a chance" at a drop? Hoping it's a mis-type and not that we are, as feared, heading towards a push to buy event tickets in the Crown Store instead of being able to easily earn them in-game.

Yeah- this timing is far from ideal. Especially since this update requires everyone to redownload the game. Even ZOS is acknowledging that players will have days they can't play by reducing the daily rewards, yet having an event right in the middle of that time frame is fine? It also will dis proportionally affect the pc players, because console players don't get the update until after the event is over.

I didn't even notice the date until people started pointing it out because I thought surely whatever the dates are it will be over before the update

You know what. until ZOS makes an announcement, this is all just gossip and speculation.

After careful consideration (and oh! so much deliberation) we have concluded that you circumstance sounds too much like a l2p issue for it to be just a mere coincidence.
