Fact is bunny hops are a combat mechanic that exploits hit box targetting and provides distance and speed way beyond what would be achieved by sprinting. A simple solution is to make the skills combo that brings about a bunny jump to cost ever increasing stamina (like streak does for sorcs) This has nothing to do with players who spacebar jump for joy and because its fun.
This threads point is that players who are intentionally using the bunny hop combo are getting a free advantage as opposed to block and rolldodge that cost stamina.
I keep hearing people say it's a hit box exploit, but as someone who doesn't jump and have only fought them, I'm not sure how accurate that is.
I've never had a issue hitting someone jumping around. If anything, since you can't turn in the air or change direction, it seems like a massive disadvantage. Can't understand what use it has since I can't think of anyone who'd claim a win or loss because of it. Not to mention it looks ridiculous. The only real use I can see for jumping is that it may help with button timing. But a combat advantage? Sort of seems like the opposite. Never have I had an issue hitting a jumper.
Man how I miss hitting a old Dizzy swing against a jumper! Always looked forward to knocking them way up in the air. Just another reason to miss dizzy!
I've never understood anyone's argument when it comes to the bunny hop. Its not like its a unique ability everyone can do it, you're just looking to punish players that can multitask.
