Last I checked we all had a jump button/key.

It's only an advantage if you can't do it too.

Plus you can't change direction whilst in mid air. By my reckoning your a big bouncy target full of AP for ~1 sec. So... thank you!

Didn't read whole thread. Games in which bunny-hopping or circle strafing bring some advantage in PvP are not worth mastering, there are far better options out there. Draw your own conclusions.

It's not necessarily that it's an advantage or not; it's that it's a physical action your character takes that requires more exertion than normal walking or running - much like sprint. I mean, personally if regular running weren't the default in just about every online game that should cost stam too. But...even i don't want to walk everywhere. lol

the only thing bunny hoping make a harder 'melee' target, the same as circling / colision.
the one thing need to be cleared, why people do it and mostly magicka?
because running and dodge roll cost stamina, magicka cant kite and avoid damage like stamina do.
and now you want to add messed up jumping for your l2aim issue?

I have never seen someone do that. How does that work then? Just jumping up and down?
There is instruction from another Bunny Hop thread.

this is how you do it
    1. find a flat surface area, really flat (like a keep wall)
    2. get speed buff like major expedition / swift / steed mundus
    3. press W + D/A + sprint at the same time
    4. press jump when ur character seem to be accelerating
    5. Stop judging every person who killed you a fricking cheater you dumb, wtf are the cheat you talking about, explain please so ppl know

anyway this is a long jump, which is already removed from game with the sprint update

Making excessive jumping cost stamina is an easy fix to avoid hit box exploits (which is what jumping is in terms of PvP)

So that's what that person was doing.. and there I thought they were just that overwhelmingly happy to be there.
I had to chase them all over the battleground. Sadly, death ensued, but it was indeed challenging to get a hit in.

I can't do that sadly, we Altmer can't be seen hopping around like that. Must retrain self.

zenimax should add a High magicka cost to jumping. and by "high magicka cost to jumping" i mean make it so that 3 jumps will deplete your magicka pool.

    Both pools :)

No. It should reduce your speed for 2 secs and stack the slowdown up to 7 times. After the 7th jump you cant move for 14 secs. This wouldnt hurt PvE where it is about getting over a tree or similar.

I remember the good old days of Asherons Call where you actually put skill points into jumping. More skill points the higher the jump. Of course if they added that to ESO it would be somehow be used to jump straight into inner keeps LOL.

In EQ2 the scouts could level it. You started to jump from rocks and in the end you had to jump from cliffs to gain some jump xp :D But nothing of this had to do with hopping. Scouts had to survive any wipe to revive the healer. Even if they had to jump down somewhere.

Today I'm convinced the people who were saying "Everything that f123ks up a PvE'ers life originated from a non-sense PvP'er complain".

Mate, what do you want? Should they stand still when you target them for your comfortable a** make ez-AP? They will jump and do their maneuvers indeed. If you can't PvP, then don't do it, it's not mandatory lol.

[Edit] I just learned Bunny Jump isn't just {Space} spam, thought people complaining of jumping players which has nothing wrong. Vid#3 isn't seem legit btw. yeah, agreed with OP now.

Wow why dont we just make WOW 2.0 then is that what every person that cannot grasp a simple game mechanic wants? because thats what it seems like they want.

Calling bunny hopping a combat mechanic is hilarious.

For someone who's been busy moaning about bad, zergling Templars being OP, know that you're advocating a massive buff to sweeps right now.

but... can someone explain that ultra distance jump on video 3????????

Yes, that's a real bunny-hop, not just someone jumping.

I won't tell you how it works and It's against the rules iirc, but it is still possible, even on console (though not consistently like PC).

On topic, there's nothing wrong with jumping and thats coming from a Templar who are probably gimped the most by others jumping.

there is no bunny hop in this game

"Bunny hopping usually serves one of two purposes:

Avoiding Attacks: Bunny hopping can throw off opponents' aim and give the hopper an opportunity to attack.
Gaining Speed: Bunny hopping can increase the speed at which players move, allowing them to close the distance when attacking opponents."

the player who jump all the time is maybe bored, but he gets no benefit from this mechanic in eso.

Actually, bunnyhopping allows you to outrun a horse at sprinting speed. You need a certain action for that to work, but I constantly see people do that on keep walls.

Sounds like you have an L2P issue, honestly. Besides, the super jump from the glitched RAT animation got fixed so w/e.

Maybe stop chasing the rabbits in PvP and you won't get put in the dumpster consistently.

Yep. I agree but only if we make this game more realistic. What I mean is if we are going to make jumping cost stamina then we need to apply that to combat as well.

For instance, for stamina players the weapon used (Bow, 1H, 2H, axe, dagger, greatsword, etc.) the first heavy attack should cost let's say 1,000 Stamina. If you have another heavy attack within 3 seconds the cost should double and so on and also have no stamina return from a heavy attack. I mean, let's face it, you certainly don't get stamina BACK from swinging a heavy weapon at your opponent in real life. But you sure do in this game.

The only stamina return should be passive from resting. That's how it is in real life. Why not in ESO?

Same for mounting and dismounting. It should cost stamina to get on and off your mounts as it does in real life.

So yeah, I agree, let's make everything cost stamina and have nothing give it back except resting and potions. Works for me!
