Most sound FXs not playing after update5

After patch only some of sound effects of my NB abilities seem to play on my 5.1 speaker system. Sometimes I hear something from rear speakers but not from front ones, or when I swing light-attack with daggers I hear no typical swish but only character's angry panting. Similar for opponents - during fights most of the action happens mute as if we did not want to wake up boss or somebody. Anybody observes this too?

Even ran a repair of game. Same problem

And the new clanking sound when interacting with the environment or crouching JUST HAS TO GO very annoying.

Some players in game suggested to do the repair of game installation. It did not fix the issue for me however.

I haven't played much after maint yet, but I can say my Immovable makes no sound for sure, and pretty sure so do some other things - combat in general seems a LOT quieter now. Me not likee.

half of my sound effects is gone. wth have they done in this patch.. its just, yaaaawn

I actually noticed this on the last 1.4 update for the EU server (last week)... the sounds usually came back after 5-10 minutes of playing. I was kind of hoping 1.5 would fix it.

I've not yet had a chance to play 1.5 so don't know the situation has improved, worsened or stayed the same.

It is very pronounced after 1.5. Even as a Sorc fighting with other players in Sanguine Demense (sp) yesterday, fights didn't "sound" as busy. Lot less sounds playing. it may be an unexepcted side affect of some optimizations behind the scenes.

I am missing sounds as well. Noticing like when you take items out of crates, those are missing. Lots of combat sounds missing as well with my staffs and dual wield.

i have some missing random sound effents also.
ex: shout when i sprint on horse, collect items from objets (gathering) some times i hear them other dont!
Repair didnt change anything, relog neither, its just like that.
In game report bugs or feedbak also not working at least this morning.

Yup many sounds missing for me too. Impulse "hit" sound missing, dual wield skills missing sounds (rapid strikes etc), and weapon swap to/from dual wield daggers not working. "Take all" when harvesting or taking from containers is now is silent too.

I've noticed the same thing as you guys. Some random sounds seem to be missing (Flurry), and some seem to play one time, but not the next.

Same problem here. I have seen several threads on this, and even started one myself.

The sound of looting bags is completely gone, as is the sound for depositing a majority of things in your bank.

This CANNOT be intentional, because it is TERRIBLE.

Would be really nice to get some confirmation of dev eyes on this one, even if only in the form of the token "do a /bug report in game" so that at least we knew this wasn't done on purpose for some odd reason.

Just reiterating sound effect issues.

No sound effects when looting food from containers.
Combat sounds seem quieter.

The issue seems to deteriorate over time. Today I hear new inappropriate sound effects - like when I reach "Hidden" stealth. Guessing: fx database broken and getting mangled even more over time?

Same issues happening for me, especially with collecting sound fx, and not just on my NB. Also happening on my Sorc, and on my fiance's Temp. Seems to be a game issue in general.

I've been updating/repairing the patch all week and finally got in last night but I have no sound at all in game.

Another day, another change to sound effects problem. I am not doing anything, no repair, no changes in settings, no changes to addons - same setup for several days. This time however fading "Reaper's Mark" is making loud metalic-like sound that it didn't do yesterday positively. Guys this bug is progressing badly on its own - you might want to give it bit more priority to fix as who know what it breaks next.

Just want to remind you, you haven't updated the Known Issues thread with this problem and it's still present after 1.5.3 update.

I totally agree. My problem with the sound issues is many that have been reported (Like Flurry for instance) were working just fine prior to Update 5. In addition, some of the new ones added like the Clank sound when going in and out of sneak are very annoying in my opinion.

But, it seems this has become the norm for ZOS. Issues being left unattended for long periods of time. So when will the FX sound issues be fixed? Your guess is as good as mine if they ever do get fixed.

So another week has passed and all we got is tech support lingo which is just a sweet-talk at best but technically lies. And please: if you don't deliver then at least do not refer to any "appreciated understanding" - you are not given any, there was no real information/news/update to be understood. You are just losing it all with unprecedented speed.

So stealth/unstealth does not sound metallic anymore, picking loot sounds as it did before and we can hear daggers being sheathed/unsheathed (as we loved to hear before update 5). I would warmly hug my beloved sounds returning back home if I could (and the sound guy who created them - thumbs up man - I love your sound work).

Then however Snipe/Focused Aim still keeps making swish sound even after shooting is long ago done and we will have to wait undisclosed ("soonish" as support would surely say) amount of time for re-fixing "known issue" - the mute Flurry which for some reason could not squeeze into 1.5.6 patching attempt. And the question i would like to ask is what would you think of and/or say about kind of service let say in car mechanics who used to change your winter tyres on your car without any trouble always, but in spring for unknown reason they cannot change your left tyres. They let you wait 3 weeks to work on the problem and then return you car with 1 front tyre still unchanged and for some reason radio doesn't play. Please tell me Zeni: what would you think of such service? They have your money already in pocket so they don't seem to worry much - at least they don't show it...

Since the most recent patch 1.5.6, Bow sound effects in PvP have a delay and occur after the attack animation action has been completed. Normally its a 1 to 2 second delay. Just another issue to add to the long list of issues that are created by every update and the subsequent patches to fix issues created by the update.
