No, they can't.

Since my native language is Dutch the language of Holland aka The Netherlands.

They should use the language of the game which is English.

Mobs are genuinly nearby chests we all know that.

And to get back to the langauge.
People use it in guilds group chats etc.

They really do not care if people can't understand them.
They just don't want to adapt.

To the OP, feel lucky you found a group. I've never had such trouble finding a group in any other MMO as I do with ESO.

That's the worst part about it, it can take up to hours before you find a group.

Well at the risk of sounding racist.

I find it difficult to cope with people who decide to play a English languaged multiplayer game. And still prefer to use their own native language regardles of the set common public English language.

They even advertise in their own language and they don't and you reply on their add they will respond in their own language asuming you can understand.

Most of them do not even try, too use the general language.
For me it's spam, it's something I can't understand and it's something I do not wish to see plus it's something I can't propperly reply on.

Doesnt sound racist, more ignorant or arrogant. It's an MMO sold throughout the EU. I was born in England, I can't speak any other language (but am trying to learn German), so wherevef I go on this planet, whatever forum I go on, guess which language I speak?

When you see Brits abroad in the EU, do most of them try to speak in the language the locals speak? No, unlike most of the rest of the world, most people myself included never learnt another language.

If I was playing a MMO in any country, I would naturally put a post in the main chat in my language asking if anyone else spoke it. And if enough did, I would continue speaking it.

Just because my language happens to be English is irrelevant, I would do the same if it wasn't.

99% of stuff in English in zone chat is irrelevant to me, people discussing things I've no interest in, people selling things I don't want to buy etc.

Makes no difference to my enjoyment what language people speak in.

If it bothers you that much, again join a guild and just have guild chat on instead.

All that said, from reading your posts, you seem to have some sort of attitude problem, and I wonder if thats partly why you are having so many problems. From the way you seem to be describing yourself, you wouldn't for example be at all welcome in my guild (talking about all your posts, not just this one), and maybe you need to look hard at how you come across to others instead of judging others.

No I'm sharing my opinion on a serious matter in a fresh game what has led to many people abandoning their subscription which could lead to the very down fall of the game on a large scale in due time. Leaving zenimax and Bethesda to drastic meassures as making the game f2p and p2win.
