Might have something to do with the fact that unless you are stick and dress, vet levels are a impossible.

I have been very pleased with much of the content in TESO. Creating a large game like this takes extreme vision, execution and commitment. If you think about it, this game has a ton of complexity.

I have played MMOs since the days of MUDs and games on dial up BBSs. Some games have break throughs but never endure (Asheron's Call comes to first mind for their open world and nonstructured world as well as creating huge NPC icons that the developers played in). Some games have break throughs and set the bar for every other game (WoW. Love it or hate it, is the defacto game to compare success to).

I enjoy this game, period. It is about the journey of play, not the race to the destination. If people recognize the game for what it is, they will enjoy it more. However, I agree with others - Zen gotta fix some staples on certain issues (PVP first and foremost).

    Impossible?

Someone should tell my dual-wield/bow Nightblade that he should have died 9 veteran ranks ago.

No they just require a lot more thought. Second time through it on a Duel Wield NB and managing vet content ok. I must admit it was easier on my sorc. There are some inconsistencies that need cleared up. The difficulty should be more or less stable within a zone but there are some massive variability on some mobs. Some world bosses are a push over to solo yet some quest mobs very difficult even in a group.

It's not impossible as a NB dw + bow, but I have grown tired of swapping skills on every other trash mob 3 pack. I've grown tired of the frustration of fighting 3 packs with 1 healer & 2 casters. I've grown tired of being 1 shot by a firewall, because my focus was on the other 2 mobs for a second and I forgot to put on 1 stupid fire resist ring. It was fun for a bit, but now I'm starting to dread it.

My most recent experience was Bad Medicine vr7 and running into Nostrum Breva. This fight along with many others made me rage quit for several hours and has left me pondering if I want to even continue playing this game.

I played yesterday half a day in vet7 zone, grathwood. i think i saw 6-7 guys the whole time. All my dolmens and wb there are black on the map :(

vet zones are empty cause craglorn and the dungeons are much easier to grind in. Vet zones still have overpowerd npc's compared to the dungeons and Craglorn and still give crap xp compared to the amount needed.

I have to disagree, I am a VR11 melee templar in 5HA/2LA using sword and shield. This has to be one of the worst specs dps wise. I am always magicka starved (my only "real" source of dps and survivability) and still... I got there all on my own, with the odd grouping together with a player decent enough to actually invite someone he/she sees is doing the same quest.

It was a steep decline from Coldharbour to the VR1 zone, but I adapted and actually it's a lot more fun. I actually feel accomplishment now. But then again, it feels like playing DAoC all over, just now I can actually solo level and there are a lot more quest. Oh, and best thing being: I don't have to sit down for a minute to regen my hp and mana anymore! ;)

These "sky is falling" threads are a dime a dozen, every MMO has them. The game is doing fine. I have played servers MMOs from launch and known to expect population drop offs in the first two months as the hype boys get frustrated by their own over bloated expectations.

PvP are still full of great fights and that all I care about.

The writing is on the wall. In the bargain bin in under 90 days from release and you have to ask that? Look at the threads here and in customer service if you still have doubts. There are 100's of bugs still from day1 of release that are just ignored by ZOS. On top of all this we get unannounced class nerfs. Yes the game is dying a slow painful public death.

I got an email from wildstar today with a code for 25% off. guess that game is dying too.

It is so silly to think that the game is going down in flames. Has nobody put in the thought that us casuals take time to enjoy the game? I only just recently reached V1 and I see plenty of people. I have to hurry often to reach world bosses and then wait with others to do the beat down that are waiting with me as they didn't get to the world boss as I have.

    :/

its very noticble in end game and VR zones. its a three fold issue. Melee< magica balance. A hugely big grind from Vr 1 to Vr 12. and horrible End game activites Trials bad VR dungeons are good but the itemization is not there to support either.

The population drop off is drastic from my point of view. Not "normal". But I'm involved in guilds that were pre-launch and not-so-casual. The more casual players in those groups have stayed on and I think this is going to be the bread and butter of ESO along with PVP. They continue to revolve the game around trials pve'ers unfortunately which is an absurd minority. Hopefully they'll figure out who is actually paying their bills and react accordingly.

The future of this game rests of the shoulders of the casual player. There's so much here for them. I'm not so casual but I'm not a grinder either. VR5 main with a couple of alts and level 11 PVP. Plenty of content to go for me but I need people to play with damn it. It is a bit ghost-towny in VR zones.

Game is very very new how can you say it's dying? we are all noobs in this game everyone is just starting to play the game.. you cannot expect over 10 mill players in the first 3 months?? vet zones are empty becouse majority of people do not rush the game, especially since this game is not intended to be rushed through. WoW was much much much worse at it's 3 month release, and look the game still leading the market. Please stop making posts about dying games if you don't think with common sense k?

Well..... i would somewhat agree with you. though i dont think people being in VR three months after launch is rushing. Every MMO has a burn off after launch its just the nature of the buisness. But the Retention is not as good as i would have hoped. ESO had poor implementation of end game with some pretty good idea's on paper but did not translate well into playing.

The majority of VR people are leaving for three major reasons. Melee being completely underpowered in later VR activites forcing end game activites into one spec. Light armor Destro staff for everyone. VR is a huge grind people would have rathered playing the other factions with a new CHR for the most part not more questing in a false difficulty zones with very poorly balanced classes.

The Game is new and ZOS has plenty of Talent and money to fix expand and enrich this game. The question is will they use it here on ESO or move onto another title for more sales. I personaly think they are going to go full bore for a console launch and the PC version is going to get left in this state for some months. they are tight lipped about the melee issues and the 2 other guilds and justice system has not even been so much as talked about on the PTS. I dont think this will go well for the players. I re rolled so i am still playing but once the VR blues hit i will definately unsub and return in 3 to 6 months to see what happened.

I think one of the main issues with vet zones is that most people just haven't gotten that far yet. I've been playing pretty much every day since early release, and I'm only VR2. My friend who started the same day, and actually plays more than I do, is only VR1. Those folks who are already in the higher VR's had to have skipped a lot of content along the way, or they're putting a lot more hours into the game. Either way, I think the bulk of players are still leveling up,
