I enjoy the name recognition and the frenemies I make in the different factions.

I pve for gear so that I can pvp. PvP is the point of the game for me ... not loot.

but PVP is not the point of the game for the majority of ES players I have a feeling... After you have witnessed a massive battle and played a few hours you will get like me asking "What is the point?"

Ok I will bite and draw a conclusion

Your main game is WoW. You have played it so long anything new or better you fail to see cause like an abused wife your emotional attachment to an old dated cartoon game does not allow you to move on to something much better

Also you shop at Walmart for your computers because this game is so lovely and lag and error free compared to other games it unbelievable

Your personal experience does not equate to everyone else's so stop with the subjective bs. This game has minimum specs to be able to run the software. The fact that it isn't compatible with a lot of rigs means that the company didn't test properly and needs to either fix those core compatibility issues or rescind their specifications. While I haven't had the issues that a lot of people have had because I do have a February purchased mid range CyberpowerPC gaming unit, I have had combat lag, quest bugs, and for a while in the beginning, constant disconnects. Whether you want to acknowledge that some of the issues are server side or not, they've already admitted to it for a lot of these issues.
Also, you must have a very limited mmo experience to make broad generalizations. Especially, when EVE Online, Ultima Online, Everquest, Neverwinter, and FFXI have been out for 9+ years.

What toons you have in WoW? How many years you play that game and why are you on this forum tearing the game down with BS posts?

Every single MMO release in the past 15 years has these exact posts and like the one your making x ten. This release has been well with in reason for industry standards if not better sell it on the wow forum

Seems to be a fair amount of people in reg 1-50 areas. Not so much in vet zones. Understandable really if anyone hit v12 without exploits and such they would know how brutally slow it is and it would scare anyone off from ever wanting to do v1-12 ever ever again lol

You'll get more players if you can:

    1. Stop " An Unknown Error has Occurred "
    2. Make it so if you have done a quest allready you can go back and do it again with a friend, who ever heard of an MMO you cant play together anyway?
    3. Put Dragons in the Game for us to kill, like the last guy said, who wants to PVP in an MMO anyway.

I haven't noticed yet. Guild which consist of 500 people will always have 80% of their people offline.
Sadly I have to contradict you on this one. I'm one of the founders of an trading guild, which shortly after foundation was full (500 members). 4 weeks back there were in the evening hours around 120 to 150 of them online, now it's hardly 80 although I removed lots of inactive members and recruited new ones. And two other trading guilds I'm with show the same decrease in activity.

The number of players in Cyrodiil did decrease noticeable too. 4 to 6 weeks back you had 3 or 4 large sieges at the same time, now it is only 1 or 2 and that with decreased numbers of players in each battle.

I don't say that TESO is dying or even dead, but I say that number of players has taken a big hit, which is noticeable, if one isn't ignoring it. The game has lost lots of players due to too much bugs. ZoS has to be faster and more effective in debugging the game if they want to stop the exodus of players. We are now in the phase were players will leave the game not because of too much bugs, but simply because so many others have left and they get the feeling of being on a sinking ship. ZoS has to show them that they are doing a good job in debugging and balancing - but this has not happened yet.

Subscription cancelled due to the following facts:

    - Zenimax implements more bugs from patch to patch
    - Zenimax does not care about the increasing instability of the game. People have more and more crashes Fix of memory bug decreased number of crashes considerably
    - Zenimax has still not fully fixed the fps drops they (!) implemented with patch1.2.3
    - Zenimax does nothing to fix the massive ability lags in PvP
    - Zenimax gives more attention to unnecassary 'content' like dyes for armors than fixing issues
    - In patchnotes Zenimax lies about bugs allegedly fixed
    - Zenimax has no plan as to how balance population in Cyrodiil campaigns
    - Support is ineffective and does not even speak in a way one can linguistically understand

Trying to remember how many times I've seen this thread in every MMORPG I've played in the last 14 years lol.

Let me save you alot of trouble:
    • The general trend of MMORPG's is losing people after spiking at release. WOW was a fluke in it's growth due to dragging in new demographics. This was boosted by a heavy ad campaign with many every day stars. The only other fluke I'm aware of is Eve online which remarkably continues to slowly grow.
    • MMORPG's commonly have around a 50% retention rate at release. This is better for some and worse for others.
    • Depending on promotions the numbers may spike up, but will always continue decreasing
    • Corporations no longer release sub numbers and when they do they are lying through their teeth. Example: If they have 7.4 million people "subbed" at one time during a holiday promotions they will pretend that's how many people actually play.

So all you are left with is subjective judgements on how fast the game is getting smaller, not whether it is, unless your Eve which defies everything lol.

Every MMORPG is dying except Eve Online, even WOW is dying for instance. But it'll take a long time because it has alot of subs to start with unless they make a major game breaking change like Star Wars Galaxies did.

That being said: ESO divides up it's population heavily for PVE content by using a traditional MMORPG leveling model. This is 10X worse for veteran content. I personally believe this is a fundamentally flawed design community wise and IMO it damage community interaction while making the game feel less populated than it is.

I miss systems in games like City of Hero's that let you adventure with just about anyone at just about any time and concentrated on making the game fun to play and characters fun to build instead of deliberately forcing your pace of going through the content as is the status quo.

A perfect example of what I miss is Cyrodil dungeons: where people of all levels can adventure together and have fun. I know this game has a story focus, but like so many games before this I wish you could do these things with normal content.

I think some people are forgetting that even WOW, with it's massive population and implemented megaserver tech, still has ghost zones. It's a design flaw, not a population thing. Population in these ghost zones is transitory and the reason to go back is non-existent even when teaming with friends, therefore they will always be dead.

I think they should shorten the veteran [snip] it takes way too long to get it all done and it is very difficult and boring too. As soon as u FINALLY reach 50 u have to do the same performance 3*.

Game is awesome if there were no lags in pvp.!!!

Of course not! Where did you hear such a slanderous and spiteful rumor? We still like girls! We still think they're hot... Its just that American consumerism and corporate institutionalism makes the social environment a little frustrating for people without the money to jump through all the ridiculous hoops people expect just to try and meet someone and maybe get to...

Wait... THE game is dying. Like Elder Scrolls Online game? Got it. No, that game is perfectly fine as well.

Not dying at all from what I can tell. Dungeon queues for DPS are like 3 minutes. Tanks are instant. PvP queues are pretty much instant.

I have characters from 15-50 in WS and all the zones are almost overpopulated. World PVP is just insane.

I wouldn't classify anything about it as dying. A lot of people are turned off by how the PvE is hard and may have left.

It's not casual. Dungeons are hard, even random mobs can kill you if you are bad. But when you die, it's always mechanics and not just increased health and dmg from the mob that kills you so it's fair.

Most importantly is all the classes seem to be pretty balanced and all of them are good. Most of them are not really that much fun until around lvl 21-25 but they are all good.
