I don't know if there's any way to check the population of subscriptions in ESO but every guild I speak to is either losing members or dying, when I go to vet zones they are completely empty, and Cyrodiil population seems to have dropped a lot too?

:/

I haven't noticed yet. Guild which consist of 500 people will always have 80% of their people offline. I can still sell my stuff easily, and there are always people online from my guild.

Even if it was, I don't care. I play this game to enjoy myself. I don't care about others playing or not.

There are no real concrete numbers. The best I can give you is vgchartz but that really only is physical copy data. Doesn't include digital download information.

I can say that I personally have had enough and have unsubbed, but hope the game will get better. Last check was prior to maintenance today to do an experiment with gear, and of the 20 people I have on my friends list, only 3 have logged in the game within two weeks. Everyone else was 2 weeks +, which included myself until today.

The vet zones can be empty but this can also come down to country/ time zone. Still see quite a few players in level 1-50 area's.
Started a new character tonight & encountered a few people in the starting zone.

Players that rushed through the game & reached their peak in veteran levels could have gone west - especially if they are not playing pvp.

The Cyrodiil population is a joke, I don't even consider it PVP anymore. I have to go elsewhere to PVP... that's not good. I have 23 days remaining and then I will be gone until things get better.

I really want it to be until rather than if because I really do like the combat, but PVE just doesn't cut it for me.

Dunno , only zen got the numbers like you said OP.

Still , yes , most guild i even cared to look when the members last logged , did lose a lot of players it seems.

The VR zones are empty because few people want them. Many at VR12 now did so by abusing the Anomaly Crystals which ZOS have now destroyed as a means of leveling.

Why did people use those? Because questing in the VR zones is an exercise in utter frustration.

VR zones will kill this game, they're LEVELING content not end-game so if you're unable to progress due to asininely-buffed mobs or simply don't intend to tolerate a 1990s-like grind then you'll have to leave as there's nothing left to do.

My PvP is often too fill for me to get in & although VR zones can be quiet I see lots of people in other zones and assume they will catch up in time, I rather raced thru content as I had both illness & holiday totalling about 4 weeks of solid play... And I have reached VR8.., i guess other people have 'wasted' their tome working and interacting with real life people!

I figure a fairly good portion of them are playing on the PTS and will return when the newest content patch goes live.

Thankfully no. I think people are starting to get a hang of how the combat system works, that you HAVE to block and roll dodge, that it isn't another boring "stand and mash it" rotation MMO, and that this is a very good thing.

I am seeing many of my old guildies come back, and my trade guilds are all active and buying my junk. I have also been pleasantly surprised to see a wave of friendly and humorous people in all zones from the lowbie areas where I park my bank alts to the vet zones, which more than anything gives me hope the game will endure.

If it can hang on to cool people that have a positive and friendly attitude, I don't think the loss of some huffy elitists will matter so much. The community is possibly the most important thing in a game like this, and seeing cool people in the chat zones again is very good sign.

Lol for kicks, I went to that Entropy Rising thread and posted in it. Twice. And it never even moved. It's on a perma sink. That's awesome. These clowns are the best entertainment.

I'm seeing more people in the vet zones now they have nerfed the anomaly exploit. Now all they have to do is L2P because you sure don't learn anything running round in circles in a group of 20 ;)

There's no way to tell. Are populations falling? Yes, of course.

Is it falling below what is projected to be a long term sustainable base by Zen?

No one knows. It's not about the size of the base, it's about net profits. If a lower population means lower overheads and if very limited game-play options mean content creation costs are low then the maximum profit could easily come from a relatively small subscription base.

We just don't know. All we can do is decide if it's fun to play and spend our money accordingly.

The writing is on the wall. In the bargain bin in under 90 days from release and you have to ask that? Look at the threads here and in customer service if you still have doubts. There are 100's of bugs still from day1 of release that are just ignored by ZOS. On top of all this we get unannounced class nerfs. Yes the game is dying a slow painful public death.

I got an email from wildstar today with a code for 25% off. guess that game is dying too.

*not saying ESO is doing well check my earlier posts but some of the reasons you guys post as examples are just dumb*

Game is very very new how can you say it's dying? we are all noobs in this game everyone is just starting to play the game.. you cannot expect over 10 mill players in the first 3 months?? vet zones are empty becouse majority of people do not rush the game, especially since this game is not intended to be rushed through. WoW was much much much worse at it's 3 month release, and look the game still leading the market. Please stop making posts about dying games if you don't think with common sense k?

ESO has issues, there is no doubt of it, Of the five guilds I belong to they are dying off, I hardly see guild chat in my window. The guild that I started with has not grown at all, and one of the original leaders is already gone. I have dolman's unfinished because nobody is around to do them for the most part. While I like the game, I think the VR endgame content should not be starting other areas over, but have higher level content, with rewards that mean something.

I took a six month sub, when the game came out, and I am not sure I cam going to last that long.
