And the sky-shards will be mailed to us? Cool.

I couldn't port to people if i wasn't a certain veteran rank. Also how are you going to gain access after Cadwell's silver when your prompted to use a portal to the next alliance?

That would be cool, skyshard hirelings go go :D no but seriously, I was merely addressing the person who mentioned that it is a necessity to do those things to progress to another zone. So no, it's not. If you only want skyshards from the 2nd and 3rd alliance and nothing else, go get them. Just like in Craglorn, you have to be aware that the mobs are higher level than you, so some skyshards might be difficult/impossible to get if you haven't leveled your character further.
    Rebuilt - Aldmeri Dominion

    Kaia Linnea - templar
    Ruusu - sorcerer
    Aino - nightblade

I won't be going to get them because of the hopeless grind the game becomes. unfortunately for me the game ends at L50, but i've had a great time up until then.

It's a shame the game throws away the story and imposes an old style hard-core grind from that point onwards but that's their vision for this game.

I hope it works out and there is a huge market for this style of game because I hate what happens to games forced to go F2P.

    1) Asking for any kind of nerf is dumb as hell, don't kill off a good thing, improve the crap things so they are a viable alternative.
    2) Questing your way through Vet levels is boring, frustrating and just gets plain old after a while. V1-6 was bad enough, I am not looking forward to the prospect of 6-12 through quests.
    3) Reduce the difficulty or damage output of creatures in the Vet areas and maybe it will actually become more enjoyable.
    4) It is totally unfair on a lot of players to allow this to happen for 2 weeks then remove it. If you didn't intend this feature to be used this way, you should not have waited 2 weeks to remove it or nerf it, it should of been hotfixed within hours. Now you have one group of players with VR12 and hundreds of crafting materials. Another with no hope of VR12 any time soon and weeks of boring crappy overly difficult tedious quests to go.
    5) Nerf the loot, fine. I don't mind admitting that it's probably a bit out of hand to be getting 100+ purple materials per day from a grind. Don't nerf the exp however. That is normally the trade off, fast exp = little profit. Slow questing grind = lots of gold.
    6) After a lot of negativity already about the game, why on earth would you put yourself in the position where you're just going to get a ton more moaning and whining about something you could have totally avoided by using a little bit of common sense. It doesn't take a genius (or anybody with anything other than a single figure IQ) to work out that adding this content is going to drive everyone out of the Vet zones and into this big grinding frenzy.

Fair play a lot of the problems so far are to be expected it's a new game.. but come on ZOS save your asses when releasing new content at least bother to ask yourselves whether it will work or whether it is ready for release in it's current form. It's 2 weeks old and already getting a nerf, that is absolutely pathetic. You could of just saved yourselves a whole lot of trouble by properly testing it out. By adding something like this to the game you practically make it mandatory to use it while it's there. Ask yourselves whether it's really a good idea next time.

****2) Questing your way through Vet levels is boring, frustrating and just gets plain old after a while.
    >>> But was ADVERTISED clearly as what one would do upon reaching 50+ content. I would not buy a game which clearly had elements I not only didn't 'prefer' but literally could not stand for a second, and in fact detest so much I'd 'ask' for an overhaul to, since the likely outcome of that occurring would be extremely low.

It also was clearly advertised as a pvp game, spiritual successor of daoc even.

When I bought the game (as soon as was available) it was advertised as having VR content that would take us into the other faction areas.

Nothing was said about it being a slavish, makes no sense photocopy. nothing was said about the difficulty being turned up to 12 by just applying a multiplier. Nothing was said about that difficulty then being turned up again and nothing was said that it would require one basic light armour and stick build regardless of class or the style of play you chose previously.

Done properly - that is - with a good reason and in a way that built on the story, with the questing adjusted to make sense and with new foes - it could have been fine. But that's not what happened. It wasn't just a reset, it was a reset that negated everything you'd done before as well as making you as weak as a kitten.

It's just -now go fight all the same adversaries (just with laser beams on their heads) and doing the same trivial quests.

In fact this is what it still says:

Return to Tamriel in The Elder Scrolls Online, the latest chapter of the award-winning series, and bring the legendary experience online for the first time. Explore the vast world with friends or embark upon an epic adventure alone—the choices you will make will shape your destiny.

THE ELDER SCROLLS. ONLINE! – Adventure in Tamriel with your friends and guild mates for the first time ever.
PLAY THE WAY YOU LIKE – Develop your own style with deep character customization and abilities.
MASSIVE PVP BATTLES – Fight for your alliance against enemy armies of hundreds across the battlefields of Cyrodiil.
SAVE TAMRIEL – Unravel the schemes of Molag Bal and protect the world from the dark forces of Oblivion.

Even the 'explore the world with friends' bit is a stretch.

The bottom line is we did not know how horrible an implementation of the concept it was until we got there. And the reason some of us are so shocked is because up until that point ESO had been fantastic and we're looking forward to it being more fantastic.

Instead it becomes a different game.

I think craglorn (except for the loots) was the best thing that happened to this game lately. I really don't get why people would ask for an exp nerf, this is so narrow-minded (or perhaps just selfish).

So what if it wasn't intended to promote vr leveling? A lot of us are unhappy with vr content, damn, you can't progress even if you want because evermore is broken at the moment.

This is/was an alternative for leveling, so you would not have to go through the entire content, every single meaningless "go fetch that", "go kill this" quest. And you have to, otherwise you'll be out leveled when you hit a new zone.

Why does it bother anyone? Don't you guys have compassion for the templars and stamina nbs going through vr content? Leave the poor guys level up in peace lol

Seriously, it does not affect you. All the people grinding exp will have to go through the main quests and maps for skyshards and skill line exp, they just don't have to do every single quest. So what? If it bothers you because they are just doing it faster, you're a selfish person. Why should you care if they level in one week if not just for pure selfishness.

In fact, grinding there made my vr content way more enjoyable. I actually read all dialogues, because I choose those quests that I want to do. This is closer to how I felt when I played skyrim.

I could be one of those guys and say that I don't care because I already leveled from vr3-11 in craglorn and whatever they change won't affect me much. But why would I? If someone is not happy questing vr content, let them level up the way they like.

People keep saying they heard of a friend of friend of friend of their neighbors that plays a NB and can catch up with dks and sorcs and this guy just never shows up. He would be a rock star if he existed.

Wouldn't mind doing my own alliance's vr content. Would be a lot of fun to do EP content on a hard mode. Would make shadowfen downright dangerous.

I'm not usually one to ask for nerfs, but this is kind of ridiculous.

People can grind 2 anomolies at once with a group of ~12 people and get ~1.5-2 MILLION experience per hour. People are going from V1 to V12 in 1-2 days. This is absurd. On top of that epic (purple) items are flooding the market for veteran ranks. I don't think this really needs to be adjusted though because if the anomolies are nerfed there won't be so many people grinding them which will mean less epic items will flood the market.

I understand that people complained about the quest grind and that they wanted a different way to level, but that doesn't mean give us a way to get all 12 veteran rank levels in 1-2 days! There is absolutely no "wow factor" for people that are V12 anymore. V12 used to mean that you saw everything ESO has to offer. V12 used to mean that you had a lot of experience with the game and were most likely a skilled player. V12 used to mean you were a nerd. Now V12 just means you spent 1-2 days grinding anomalies.

I'm not saying nerf anomalies so hard that they are pointless to do or grind for the people that want to level that way, but nerf it enough to bring it down to a normal level compared to all the other ways of leveling (dungeons, quests, and PvP).

    Discuss.

    EDIT:
To those that think there is no difference between V1 and V12....
There is a HUGE difference. The armor has more defence, the weapons have more damage, the potions are more effective, the list goes on and on. Look up the numbers if you don't believe me.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.... I didn't get to grind anoms... Waaaaaaaaaa... Nerf it so others can't either.. Waaaaaaaaa... I want free purple items too..

    Did I get that right?

    @dcincali‌
Go cry somewhere else troll. FYI I did get to grind anoms. It hasn't even been nerfed yet moron. I just saw how obviously inflated the experience and drops were so I want it nerfed so it won't continue to harm the game in ways your insignificant brain can't comprehend.

The anomalies are now nerfed. However I found something better than them. Nerf the anomalies all you want to, because the other is way better. Leave it up to "THAT GUY" to mess up nice things because its fun in his eyes to do so.

Ah, nevermind I just read the patch notes. Crystals no longer give experience and the loot was slightly nerfed. That should be good enough to bring it in line with other ways to level. Way to go Zenimax.

    Get over it.

It was obviously not intended to give that much experience and anomalies are still extremely good experience for anyone that wants to grind. You still get about 75K experience for 5 minutes of work! That is still way more than anything else in the game.

Too late. That was exactly my idea, because i hate VR questing. Now you get like 36k per anomaly. If more than 20 people are doing it, you may end up without any XP (way to go Zenimax)

Yeah, that's not good. Unlikely you will take their levels back... Then come up with some really awesome reward for those, who took vr12 without shortcuts through exploiting.
