Ring of Mara..
So, I was playing with a friend for a month. When we first started playing, I had no idea he was going to unsub and quit playing after a month, so I told him that seeing as how we both bought the Imperial Edition, to use our Mara rings, to get the experience boost.
He has since quit, and now I'm stuck with a ring that I cannot use, because he is no longer playing the game. Am I screwed?

I would really like for someone to come tell me I'm wrong, but so far as I know you are, indeed, screwed. This is why I haven't used my ring yet... only for love~~~

✭✭✭Only thing I can say is that you don't need Imperial edition yourself to use Rings of Mara - everyone with Imperial Edition has a PAIR of rings they can use, one themselves, the other to give to their partner. But from the way you sound, I imagine you used your rings, not your partner's?0 -

No, imperial edition players are given a scroll, not a pair of rings, that does the ritual of mara when used with someone next to a statue of mara, in which creates two bound rings, one for each character participating in the ritual.

sooooo poorly. Its why I am being veeeery selective about mine. By the time most who has rings get to use them, they'll be near max level already just because of the nature Zenimax has made the rings.1 -

Well, I know you can transfer the rings between your characters by putting it in the bank. But if my friend has legitimately unsubscribed and does not plan on coming back, then I essentially wasted a % of money. Kinda ticks me off. And it royally sucks that customer service wont do anything about it either.

Yeah, I have the imperial edition, and both scrolls get used when we went through with the ritual. So do I understand correctly that the experience boost from the ring only works if you are grouped with the person you are linked to? This thread makes it sound that way since the OP obviously still has the ring.0

I heard differently. Works as long as you both are wearing the ring and are online at the same time, no group is involved0 -
