Why is insight usually the lowest value on our profiles? Is it hard to come by?

Insightful is the most elusive... because most actually insightful ideas get completely ignored by vast majority of forum users (in ESO's case - haters that are already unsubbed, but are still raising stink on forums).

And if people's gonna vote for you, they are more likely to just hit the ultimate button (Agree) and won't even look at any other..

Tip: If you're a dps from another game, don't always pick the single target options for maximum single target dps. Aoes are very useful in this game. You'll be using them a lot.

    Here is my insight:

The OP has hit on a perfect scheme to get TONS of undeserved insightful clicks.

I don't think that's insightful at all, because it was kind of obvious.

You can level every craft and get every skill + morph and all passives with the number of skill points the game gives out; don't let others dissuade you; I've done it. The only downside is early in the game your inventory is constrained as all those mats put pressure on it (or you can just break down everything you find and not worry about collecting mats). After buying 2-3 inventory upgrades it is more cost effective to increase your horse's carrying capacity (I added 20 slots).

If you right click a guild members name you can port to their nearest wayshrine for free... from anywhere in the game world, not just from a wayshrine.

Edit: Once there you can use the wayshrine to port to your desired location.

@OrangeTheCat‌ serious!? cuz im almost 50 and i have barely anything selected and all the skyshards from every zone up to the rift. I guess we get them from doing every factions zone once we are vets+every quest? This is great news if you aren't messing with us :astonished:

Don't know if anyone else has said this, but one of the first things to do is find a good guild or two or three. I personally have a PvP guild, two social guilds, and a trade guild at the moment. Take a look at those guild advertisements in zone chat; they can lead to good things! And finally, don't be afraid to join a newer guild! They can really use the members, and you might become one of the closest knit guilds around. =)

Hmm ok insight. Umm.. not sure if this has been mentioned before but goto the esoui.com site and check out all the cool add-ons. You'd be surprised how it makes the game look and feel different. Hell, you might even like the game a lot better.

Here's one of my favorites of all time. This took nearly two years in the studio to remix this way. This is probably the one I listen to more than anything.

Hmm create a quick alt, put points in tradeskill hirelings - poof resources mailed to you every day and an entertaining story too.

Caveats: there are no hirelings for provisioning or alchemy. And you must log into the alt to receive the mail. For enchanting you must be level 3 in that tradeskill which is easy to obtain by making 3 basic runes or so

There IS a hirelings for Provisioning... but you have to level that skill line to 28 real quick.

Deconstructing items to get ingots, cloth, and leather is based on char level instead of crafting level. This creates added challenge to making a pure crafter who you aren't playing though the game with. (ie: a lv 20 crafter deconstructing lv40 armor might get citrine and onyx but no leather piece except rarely)
And so did many brave men, women, and beast fall to the end of Beta, never to be heard from again. All that is left, is whispers of the adventures they had.

I've gotten Provisioning up to level 38 without hirelings, just a few points for blue recipes and higher level recipes. Getting it to level 28 is very easy, once you can create level 20-25 recipes, it literally goes up a level for every three level25 recipes or five level 20 recipes.

Easiest craft to level, and food buffs are great too.

Respec early and respec often otherwise you will get to have 250+ skill points but about 50-100 in totally useless skills and morphs.

My experience with insight is that I have no idea why people think some things are insightful, but that may be a fault in me, not in them. As well, "Developer" is my lowest forum value :D, after that "Awesome" :).

    As for New Player Advice?
1.) You earn Armour skill points for being hit in armour, Class and weapon skill points for having active skills on your active skill bar and Fighters Guild points for killing undead and Daedra (Mostly Daedra). You don't have to use the skills on the active skill bar, they just have to be there.
2.) Plan your skill leveling. Get Crowd Control abilities (stun/snare/AoE) ASAP
3.)Training Trait helps earn more XP in the relevant skill of the item it's on.
4.) Don't stand still. Also practise dodging, it's not "simple" and use it sparingly.
5.) Plan your attack, use Crowd Control.
6.) Learn about the critters you fight, a lack of knowledge will make the fights harder, if not impossible.
7.) If you're trying to "learn" Group Healing, use Dolmens for practise.

That's expensive. I haven't respecced once yet, I only have a few skill points I regret. And that's across four characters btw. 2 or 3 skill points across four characters, not each.

How many points do you have ?
It will cost me 25K+ to get rid of the points in medium armor . dual wield,2H,bow,Various Guilds, ultimates destroyed by nerf like Death Stroke, NB skills that are useless by design ,totally useless crafting skills like Aspect Extraction. Those points would give me the possibility to get all all 6 crafting skills on my main which would be awesome. Unfortunately I am not one of those players that at VT12 have gold coming out of their ass.

My current build works awesomely. Thank you very much. It is the dozens of useless points that accumulated since level 25 that are annoying. I am one that likes to try new stuff from time to time. It once was an interesting idea to put points in bow. XD

Not sure, but my Sorc is level 24, my templar is level 23, my DK is level 19, and my nightblade is level 12 (I don't like that class tbh, but I will go back eventually). I have been doing all the side quests and chasing down Skyshards, so a few. I know I can't afford to respecc because I've just bought horses.

The cost was my main point, it's expensive to keep respeccing, especially as some really good abilities unlock at higher levels. I try to plan ahead, and have an idea about how I want my characters to unfold (loose plan, not in concrete).

I agree that the tooltip is misleading, and it's impossible to learn all six crafts, which is why I'm not trying too, beyond learning every trait.

That one is not true in TESO. You earn armor skill experience by earning normal exp while wearing an armor type. SO if you want to level up an armor type you don't currently use.You can just change your gear when turning in quests just as with skills you don't want to use. You never need to get hit.

At level 20 yes it may be too early to respec. I agree. But VR1 when you have about 100 points and it cost 10k for respec is also early and may be a good time to experiment. When you have 250+ skill points and your only source of skill points are pvp ranks it may be a bit to late for experimentation. Also at this point wasted points become very evident.
