This isn't about forcing anyone to play. When you pay for six months in advance of game time and pay for the Deluxe version you expect it to work.
Some of the problems are with Werewolf working incorrectly and dropping you out of WW form during battle immediately after being used and then dropping you to the character screen - this is a known bug.
Being stuck in werewolf form and being unable to use abilities and skills.
Spending skill points and having it drop you to the character screen and the skill no longer being purchased and the point non refunded. This happened 4 times in a row on skill points being spent.
Consistent reloading screens while traveling this is annoying and drops you out to the character screen.
After being killed and trying to utilize the resurrect button drops you out to the character screen.
Consistently having abilities and control keys do nothing when pressed.
Achievements missing as well as quests being resets and rolled back while in progress and being dropped to the character screen.
Forum account just disappearing and having to be recreated.
These are just some of the issues. I would dare to say these are far more than just an occasional issue. Once reported to tech support it goes into a dark hole and either takes 4 days to three weeks to resolve or is never responded to.
I have worked in software testing before and I can understand having a few issues but this is not a few issues. This is a lot of untested code being sent out and the company worried about deadlines and not quality.
Look on these forums and tell me if this is the expected result of what people are paying for?
If you haven't experienced issue it is great for you but what about all of the people who are as well as having the game wipe parts of their hard drives?
@Fairydragon3 that is what beta testing is for.... sure it wont find all of them but there should not be this many.
@Fairydragon3 .... tech support isn't even able to handle the majority of the issues I have seen so far. Half the time I do not get a response for 4 days to three weeks or I get 4 to 5 conflicting answers on the game they are supposed to know.
Dropping back on the legal TOS is a crutch... it is about producing a quality product and responsibility for that product. Having worked for years with customers, this is the quickest way to lose them.
You can not live 3 months without paycheck, don't you? And you don't need to pay for servers, technical supply, development.@AlexDrago three months due to the issues since first major patch and the continued issues we are going to have until it is fixed. This isn't being greedy. How many people are blocked and cant even play at all?

@Fairydragon3 do you work for TESO? LOL
@AlexDrago three months is peanuts to this company in the big scheme of things.... they have acquired millions over the course of the games they have launched and sold. Granted there is costs but giving three months game time has little impact to the larger numbers they see...
I pay for the game and thus i have:@AlexDrago three months is peanuts to this company in the big scheme of things.... they have acquired millions over the course of the games they have launched and sold. Quite funny to see the defeatist response here. Not too mention the support of TESO, granted I like the game and want it fixed but it isn't in the interest of the company and customer base to let this continue unmitigated.
Taking care of the customer should be the first tenant for any company that wants to stay in business... If only money matters then this will yet again be another MMO to fall by the wayside
People should only be compensated on a case by case basis and only for time they lose as a result of these bugs and or human error.
I've not played any of these other mmos, so I'll take everyone's word that this is better than most on release.

Your flawed expectations aren't ZOS' fault. This isn't about forcing anyone to play. When you pay for six months in advance of game time and pay for the Deluxe version you expect it to work.

I'm in the same position, I pre-ordered two accounts and took a 6 month sub on each. Pre-ordering was good, it got me perks I find useful and since I was going to buy it anyway, why not do so early.
The 6 months subs. were to give ZOS plenty of time to fix the broken game they released as I thought ESO had great potential. As it turns out it seems ZOS did an amount of 'bait and switch', releasing a solo-friendly game then turning it into a 1990s group-or-die in order to level Craglorn and later.
My mistake, I lost my gamble.
But your idea that you EXPECTED a large-scale software project to work on release was, I would suggest, hugely naive.
