I want to love this game but i can't play with lag that make key function 5-10 seconds late. I struggel but finds less and less reson to go on since nothing change and no help or Communication are provided

Would keeping 300 temp CS people for a console release in about 6 months help the PC game now? That is a question for you.

Other than some temporary contractors coming off and on at various stages, we have had no change in our staffing and are still hiring. Our future plans, such as moving the European megaserver to Frankfurt and launching ESO on the next-gen consoles, are not impacted.

They laid off 300 temporary customer service employees in Europe. Has nothing to do with the people who handle your lag.

Customer support that was hired for the console release that was delayed by half a year ?

Very typical business practice to hire temps like that on a short term contract and then let them go. All it shows is that the company planned ahead to handle the initial flood of CS needs upon launch.

It was for the console release. But I'm sure some were let go from the initial launch of the game.

Well transfering them or some of them to the Pc side, that in my personal experience is next to nonexistance would not been a good thing then. but hey i might just have been unlucky the 6 time i tried contackting them with various problems.

Show me where it was confirmed these workers were part of the console division?

Just when you give me a good source where they confirm that this even happened.

The article doesn't specify they were part of the console division. Neither did Jessica's post acknowledging they had fired these temporary workers.

Local Irish paper, earlier mentions of Zenimax, and in the list is the article about the layoffs.

He said the facility will provide technical support for online videogamers, a massive industry worth billions of dollars each year.

“It will be an operations centre providing support online, but of course, there is room for them to move into software development, and create even more jobs. That’s the hope,” he said.

Matt Firor, President of ZeniMax said: “The company’s new facility will provide customer support for players of their future massively multiplayer online games and is expected to result in the creation of hundreds of jobs over the next several years.

Looks like a call center. Given that they are still hiring and still planning on moving the EU server to Germany, chances are good the people they left go are involved with the consoles that aren't releasing for another few months.

But hey, DRAMA and failz and free to play... Makes better bait on the forums.

I actually read they can't guarantee the console version will even be out in 2014. It might get pushed back to 2015.

As for wanting proof it was for consoles? Do a search and you'll find the CSM Jessica said it.

Lag can come from many sources, and your issue may not just be lag. First you should have a decent ISP. I use cable myself and rarely have lag issues. I happens, but rarely. You issue could also be system related. Make sure you meet the game system requirements and have a pretty decent video card with lots of memory.

Thx for the clarification. That makes sense. A company is not going to pay 300 people to sit around doing nothing for 6 months.

But it does specify 200 of them had been with the company for less than 4 weeks and that included 1 week of training. So they obviously were new staff hired to do something that has now been delayed, the console launch is the logical conclusion.

Oh sorry for taking up you valuble time AngryWolf and thanks for pointing that out. It isn't like i allready made sure by numerous tries and test with some of the programs existing today to make sure the lag is serverside and not something i can fix on my side and not keeping my rig up todate with hardware or drivers to make sure i can run the game itself now you keep trolling since you like your high horses so much

Where do you people get your information from? Nowhere did Jessica say or did the article state that those people were for the console release. Stop reading into things folks.

EDIT: Somehow missed Mortosk stating the same things. Sorry for the echo.

Daddy has 6 cars and sold his scooby doo minivan. Does it affect your college funds?

Not sure, but he probably has some extra cash now.
