No, the number of issues this game has at its current state indicates it is still struggling and losing the battle

    1. Game design and play are severely lacking in most basic MMO aspects. Want to change that UI? Grouping? QoL issues? Combat mechanics? Target of Target? Targeting of heals? Is there an AoE taunt? Veteran Ranks?

Most MMOs don't let you change the UI need an addon for that. The grouping is this game is more organic than any other game(Except GW2). You fighting next to another person/s is a group.

Target of Target is not needed in this game as you have to aim to select your target. As for the targeting of heals I have to say I actually like this games healing method MUCH better as its easier to heal people NOT in your "party". The person that needs the heal gets the heal.

The lack of an AoE taunt is a good thing as it would be stupid to this type of game. The tanks in this game are not meant to hold all the mobs in a dungeon at once. The taunt a tank DOES get you can easily use on 2-3 mobs if your a good tank.

Everything about this games mechanics have made it way more enjoyable than any other MMO I have play. Healers are more than just heal bots. Tanks are more than just meatshields. DPS need to do more than just roll their faces on the keyboard.

As for Veteran Ranks well I would have made a VERY odd decision of no more leveling after 50 just hit Veteran Rank and the rest of the game would be played without level increases.

But for what Veteran Ranks are theres very little gain for the Ranks themselves which is good as we don't need excessive power creep.

The game is in freefall due to VR being a horrible experience. Every day the game loses thousands of players permanently and doesn't replace them. The game is lying glass-eyed on the canvas and only has a few seconds left to get up before it's done.

Overall the game is OK but it does have a lot of buggy things that can ruin an otherwise enjoyable few hours of play.

They need to fix combat skills and combat lag - if they can sort those two then I think people would tolerate the odd glitched quest.

After that making the VR areas less grindy and random.

I'd rather see them devoting all their time to polishing the game right now, they released with a lot of content and already added one area, slow down... fix what you have and don't risk introducing new bugs to unsettle the players more.

    Comeback?
    1. return to success: a return to a successful position or activity
    2. sharp reply: a sharp or witty reply

It has been out for... what.... 8 weeks? did it drop from first to second place? Is it now only running at 6.8 miles per hour instead of 7.0 miles per hour?

Two months... seriously?! And you use the word comeback?

We had Final Fantasy XIV return to success after 3 years. It's original 2010 release was terrible, but the FFXIV:ARR release is all sorts of fantastic.

    THAT is a comeback.

You do not use the word COMEBACK two months after release because it never had time to go anywhere!

We also got rid of a lot of the initial whiners so the actual state and quality of the game begins to be more clear.

PS Nice trick in splitting the yes into 2 groups. Is not like everyone in those two groups agrees with both options./facepalm

    Making a Comeback???

It's barely out, just as it's too soon to say whether it's a success or failure, it's also far too early to be asking about comebacks.

It will. This game is lightyears beyond other MMOs in all areas except class balance, build variety, and PvP fun-factor. All of which are resolved by changes based on community feedback.

The problem is that Zenimax takes 10 times as long to make changes or acknowledge and resolve issues as other game developers. This alone has caused the playerbase to plumet.

Delay in acknowledging and resolving the bank bug? People quit.
Delay in resolving mistform/batswarm ultimate gain abuse? People quit.
Delay in any balance changes to fix dragon knights and sorcerers? People quit.

These examples and many others could and should have been fixed within days, not weeks or months.
End the tedious inventory management game.

    A lot needs to change.

    1-9 skill bar.
    Less rapid gear decay.
Top tier provisioning ingredients added to loot and chest tables.
    Much shorter campaigns.
    Auction House.
Reduced Respec Cost to 50g per skill.

These changes alone could actually go quite far actually. Everyone I know who quit cited these reasons and everyone I know who plays finds these "features" the worst in any MMO. Zenimax is more concerned about continuing the stupidity, nerfing everything that isn't already useless and creating fascist forum rules.

From what the forums show, it seems to me that ZoS is losing the bet to pull both ES and MMO players into the same game.

To oversimplify, the MMO crowd are the complainers, while the ES crowd profess their satisfaction. The logic goes that ES players will soon be the majority of the playerbase, as the MMO crowd moves on to the next big thing.

So, the only real question is : will there be enough of us to support the game ?

Opinions are like buttholes : Everybody has one, and they usually stink.

    3 things to reduce stamina/magicka imbalance :
    - Use magicka to block abilities costing magicka, instead of stamina.
    - Add % damage reduction to heavy armor.
    - Add block penetration to 2H.

I think that there is a lot of truth in this post. MMO players are extremely dissatisfied with the game while the single player RPG crowd love the game.

This just seems premature. The game is two months old. Most of the people just half interested are gone. This happens in every game, par for the course, nothing to see here. Will some of those people eventually come back? Maybe. I'm not particularly concerned about them though either, and I'm fairly certain that ZOS projected some loss after the first month or two, followed by hopefully gradual growth after the fact. In short, I think this poll is pointless.

Well, since you called the game garbage, I assumed you hated it so why keep playing with something if you hate it, even if you paid for it? The cost of, I don't know, 3 months sub really worth spending time with something you consider garbage?

No, the number of issues this game has at its current state indicates it is still struggling and losing the battle
to much to fix, fixes take to much time and introduce new (major) bugs

    - even now PVE Quest are still flawed (just some)
    - grouping (thats what a MMO is about) is not fixed
    - guilds suffer the same bugs as at start (Ranks, rights, guildbanks)
    - bot are just gone, because there are no players that buy something (maybe to harsh)
    - no direct and honest communication (aka "we made a mistake")
    - support is just a "we forward that" or "we know about that" (dwemer robots)
    - nerfing instead of fixing and buffing
    - disabling instead of fixing
    - not kept promises and still do false advertising (just read the perks of imperial edition)
    - gametimecards are way cheaper than subs (i payed 16 bucks for one "real" 60 day card i bought ... not just a key) ... what a insult
    - gamecost (game+30 days) dropped after 60 days to 1/4th or lower (as low as 9,99$ right now for physical copies because shelfspace has to be cleared for products that sell)
    - people payed to much a difference at start (i bought my key from Nuuvem/Brazil for 48€ EU/imperial .... from zeni that would be 79€ - same game)
    - client gets flawed (memory leaks, shutter, unknown errors) - came with patches
    - people that assist in fixing are not rewarded (and even worse have to use flawed ingame and non responsive channels) .... some of my guild invested 40+ hours ingame time to hunt bots .... some of them still are active and they received not even 1 day of free playtime)

..... 100+ other things (skillbugs, pvp issues, provisioning, crafting, exploits and many more)

but the worst of all: trust lost by me
that post (written before prestart) came true: http://errantpenman.com/2014/03/22/a-farewell-to-teso/ (read "A lousy exterminator")
