I'd like to suggest:

/pathorse - while sitting on horse
/pathorse2 - standing in front of horse
/feedhorse - give him a well-deserved apple or handful of hay
/scratchhorse - give him a good scratch between the ears - most horses love that

/shadow: Your character makes the hand gesture required to make a "shadow rabbit" (or some other creature). This can be combined with some of the [awesome] lighting in very specific places in the game.

My list.

/agree - Have an agreeable expression, nod.
/brandish - Brandish your weapons (or fists).
/bristle - Khajiit/Werewolf only hair standing up.
/cringe - Disgusting!
/duck - Duck your head.
/exhale - Blow a steady stream of air.
/extinguish - If you have /torch out, it does an emote to snuff it.
/fidget - Fidget with your hands.
/flail - Flail your arms.
/flick - Flick your fingers.
/fret - Make a fretful expression.
/furrow - Furrow your eyebrow.
/guard - Guard a target,
/grunt - Like the dwarves!
/gulp - Make a gulp sound (as in fear).
/howl - Werewolf and maybe Khajiit only.
/jeer - Just another for /boo for those of us looking for the real word.
/leanforward - Lean on something ahead of you.
/leer - Leering expression.
/limp - Favor a leg.
/mutter - Make a muttering sound.
/nudge - Nudge target.
/pace - Pace back and forth in a predetermined path.
/purr - Khajiit only noise.
/sharpen - Sharpen your weapons.
/smell - Sniff sniff.
/tremble - Sort of like /cower.
/twitch - Nerve tick!
/waggle - Wag a finger.
/wagtail - Wag a tail if you have one.
/whistle - Blow a whistle. Maybe several different styles.
/wink - Here's looking at you, kid.

@Grayphilosophy: Ah the "Napoleon" stance (arms behind back, feet a little apart) that so many NPCs have... I'd like to have that one back as well. More standing-around emotes would be useful.

I also like the "stances" idea that @ruze84b14_ESO posed. Different ways of walking, but also there are some emotes that could persist while walking around.

I'd like some magic using emotes like
playing with orb of light in hands or
drawing some runes with finger into the air
or some colourful visual effects like temporary aura of leafs, ice
space warping, bending
summoning some magic artefacts
or something like that

also add some gui for easy use

Also why not sit like that?

or Turk, lotus, bent legs embraced by hands,
don't need straight legs, also sit cross-legged on chair would be nice - one style for women and one for men.

I'm starting to run out of ideas as this is my third or fourth post here, but for PvP/guild these would be nice:

/standattention - stand at attention
/salute - honor to higher ranks
/salutehold - hand stays up
/fistchest - hold fist to chest

Probably build on this idea and incorporate similar military positions of various cultures. Just number them or something.

/flame - Character juggles a small flame. (lots of NPCs in the mage guild locations can be seen doing this and i have always wanted too as well.

Please, please, PLEASE create some kind of sync system for players in close proximity who want to play instruments to sync up the song they're playing.

It's pretty bad when you come across a group of people playing instruments that are all playing different songs and/or different parts of the same song at different times. Feels like walking into a kindergarten music class where the kids are just going crazy and playing whatever they want with no teacher to guide them.

This AND the ability to sit while playing instruments. Maybe even a version for dangling your legs off an ledge while playing as well.

Indeed, I would love to see the lute split into separate songs rather than playing from a random selection. Same with /flute, and more variations on /drum. The seated instrument playing idea is another one I would like to see.

As it stands, I haven't been able to play some of my favorites—are they not in the random selection of songs?—such as "Ithguleoir" and "Over The Seas And Far Away". Maybe I'm just unlucky and not getting them, but being able to play them on demand would be the preferred method (through /lute2~X).

Also, I agree with having emotes for interacting with our trusty steeds and pets, especially the latter to give them a little more purpose. The horse petting would be a nice little homage to Oblivion where the character would do it idly from time to time. And if a pet is detected, perhaps the character could kneel down and feed it or pat it over the head/back.

/salute is already ingame, but it's the animation you are asking for with /fistchest

Please ZOS do this and implement the other songs on the instrument emotes. I really want to play the other bard songs. Ithguleoir is by far my favorite song and I always stop to listen to it when a bard begins singing it.

There may be something similar to this. There is /sit, /sit1-6 and I didn't see if there was a sit7-9.
