Molag Bal broken today?

Hello,
Tried and failed to beat MB last night so attempting this boss again this morning.However when I finally come face to face with MB he picks me up and at this point a trigger should kick in requesting I press "X" to get him to drop me. This trigger is not occurring and instead he drops me to my death. Have tried the entire pain in the ass mission twice now with the same results.

Same here. Even if I survive the drop, can't move or do anything except logout...:(

I'm sensing the same hotfix is incoming that ZOS can't seem to keep in place, what skillz they have.

Well while you're fixing this bug ZM how about you give the older less reactive players a break and make it possible to defeat this pointless boss so we can move on?

Same here, upon approaching Molag Bal he picks you up and keeps screaming at you hopelessly you can't use anything, upon reloging i am able to re approach him but as soon as he picks you up he drops you to your death, over and over again, this quest is broken.

I tried the quest over again from the start of entering harbor upon rezoning for 20min and loging out, i picked each of the npc's to sacrifice and it gives me the same result, he will keep me in his hand and upon the reloging approach he will instantly drop you falling to your death.

There is nothing more i can do on my part to make it happen, I have heard that a GM in game would be able to help you but, to my support I didn't get any respond.

Same problem. I either get held and roared at for ever, or dropped and killed. If I survive the fall, I'm still stuck as if he was holding me and can't do a thing but log out.

This was suppose to be fixed a couple of patches ago, but now perhaps the fix never got transferred to the latest patch? Great, just great. ZOS needs to squash this bug once and for all, especially considering it's the final main story quest. Sheesh.

I have the exact same problem.

Well, here it is 2 years later and the same bug has not been fixed. It's now June 2016 and I am stuck dangling and not able to progress. Relogged, redid last leg of quest with same fail. Here is what Tech Support says to me in 2016:

"We are aware of an issue with the quest "God of Schemes" that causes Molag Bal's hands to freeze, preventing players from completing it."

Really? You are aware and have done nothing to correct the problem in 2 years? I guess designing new pets for people to purchase with crowns is taking up all of your time. NA Server.

I'm stuck floating as well (EU Server), occurred about 10pm GMT last night, got in from work tonight hoping it would of resolved itself... no luck

Tried every trick, nothing has worked, I remember when this was an issue at release, not had a problem since with quite a few alts.

Now had a CS reply to ticket 160614-001409 "We are aware of an issue with the quest "God of Schemes" that causes Molag Bal's hands to freeze, preventing players from completing it."

However this doesn't help me progress to Silver & Gold, I've played since release and to be honest this is my first issue with the game, however cannot GM's just flag accounts as complete, it's not the first time i've whipped Molag Bal.... and i'm sure many others are in the same boat.

Just found another player over in PC technical support, same problem.

I am trying to complete the main quest and I get up the the last part to fight Molag Bal. As soon as I go up the stairs he grabs and suspends me in mid air and I get stuck there infinitely unless I relog or quit the game. Relogging does not actually help b/c the same thing happens every time so I am stuck in the quest and have NO WAY to leave the zone or area.

Any fix for this???"

This problem was largely resolved in 2014 when it occurred. As you can see by the game's population, most players have been able to progress since.

If you are experiencing a new instance of this issue this is a considered a separate issue and we ask that you open a new thread. Necroing old threads resurfaces out of date information no longer relevant to an issue. You're welcome to reference a thread, but we encourage you not to bump old ones.

edit: As an added note, in reference to this specific issue: If you have received a note that customer support is aware of this issue, that means they have received reports on the issue and are currently investigating. We would advise keeping an eye on the Patchnotes and Hotfixes for further information as main-story progression is important and should be addressed as quickly as possible.
