Sorcerer have 1500 DPS - seriously?

Guys, seriously, I'm bored from your worthless words about: sorcerers have 1000 DPS, 1100 DPS, 1500 DPS, 1 million DPS!!!!

So, maybe someone will care to show to such noob as me a video about such great mage with soooo big di... DPS?!

No, really, I've searched it for myself, but failed. All I've found is that:

But here is 400-600 DPS only. I'm sure, he is noob, even with so wonderful stats, but his DPS lower than 1k - noob, obviously! #sarcasm

So, please, post a video with at least VR10 sorcerer fighting with VR10+ one monster, 2 DPS-meters installed (we all know all addons are not quite correct), while montster have more than 20% HP and both DPS-meters will show 1k+ DPS. And if you can do it without pets - it will be just great!

And please, do not post here things like "my friend said me he have 2k single-target DPS". I can say everything too, but let's start from solid proofs, ok?

I'll screenshot for you. I'm a v1 NB though and I've recorded 1800+ DPS. I definitely don't doubt the "heresay" going around.

You are sure he is a noob? The guy is doing 617 dps overall, constantly for 4min..
While he might not be the best sorcerer out there, I'm pretty sure I can't do 300 dps constantly for 4min on my templar.

Rekt is far away from being a noob. In the video you posted, he is not using the best possible dps build. He tested a bit more and then did this.

Nice, nice, very nice... to admit this is not possible anymore.

Just saying:
at least 20% of his DPS here came from pets: flying sh*t, and 2 atronachs at the same time mostly...
And he is using weapon skills as main attack.
Also, his Spell damage was lowered in comparsion with last vid and his m.regen seems low. He is using spell cost enchants?

Anyway, this makes a sense. Thanks.

More examples? Anyone? Preferably without pets.

The basic weapon attack is what you need for a staff build. its all about cycling in weaved light attacks between whatever spell you use

But yea, i agree its not possible anymore with that same build. That ultimate nerf was hitting all of us way too hard *sad times*

Can`t be done with no pets as far as i know...and yes the ultimate generation decreased that.

I fail to see why this needs to be done with out pets? Are pets not a "Sorcs special"? Does any class have toggle pets like a sorc does? If they do not, why put limitations on your 1k dps requirements? That is like saying they have to use heavy armor and a dagger, and no magicka abilities. If you are going to add requirements or restrict the skills allowed, of course you can keep changing the goal line to prove your point. You posed the challenge, someone responded.

Now if the video posted had a bug that has been corrected, then you are right to point that out, but adding preferably without pets is like tying someone's hand behind their back before pushing them into a boxing ring. With only 5 skills on each bar and only 2 bars available. Restrictions to any available skills fouls any results of the exercise. Instead of making excuses of any disagreeable results, let the chips fall where they may and accept the facts, be them favorable or not.

Maybe FTC too bugged, OK, but look at numbers - he is spamming Funnel Health and it's crits for 900+. This is insta skill, with great heal for you and 2 another allies. Crippling Grasp - DOT with insane damage. Also LA trick, add here Ultimate Veil of blades and here is - 1k DPS.

@Lyall84 The video i posted was done before the the nerf.. i mean fix for the ultimate gain. So that sorc was able to have up the storm atronach(sorc ult) all the time. THat thing does quite a lot of dps.
But thats not possible no more.

Still DKs are rolling 1k DPS without banner spam. Even nightblades can do it. And sorcs can do it aswell. If all of em are using the right skill setup + dress´n staff.

Would still be nice to see a sorc do it on video. For me just out of curiosity. I play DK myself. On a good day i can do 1K. But only on a damn good one

Why no pets?
With pets it will be too easy and all around will start posting videos with damn Zoo inside - not interesting to watch it.
I dislike pets - this is my own

Also pets are barely implementable in PvP.

exploiters knows very well they'll be nerf soon especially some of sorcs.

Against 2 groups of bees (16 targets)in Craglorn I can get 1800 sustained aoe dps all day long.It is 850-1000 against Craglorn delve packs in a group. Against an archer I can get 2000+ or I could some time ago. Against a single target Boss I do 350 sustained when I am really doing awesomely .

. Sustained single target is certainly not that great for NB.

I'm pretty sure all class balancing must be based on the PvP only, but not on PvE with the nearly ideal situation...
