If you could implement one change to the game mechanics, architecture, graphics or sound of TESO, What would it be? Please limit your suggestions to one change per post. You are the dev so pitch your patch.

No change. I like what I see and read.

Also, any other change then what they have planned can mess up the rest.

So you would not fix bugs?
This thread is about if you were on the dev team. It is your job to add/ fix TESO. Your boss walks by and asks, "so what do you have for me today?" Your answer would be...

Sorry, misunderstood the question then. I thought it meant changing a game mechanics.

Of course fixing bugs and balancing is top priority, but they are doing quite well.

I'd hammer out class/skill-line imbalances. Every bit of energy and effort would go into that.

New content can wait. Fixing what's there now is far more important. Class/skill issues are too numerous to count, and affect both PVE and PVP.

This would be my #1 focus.

I would try to focus on fixing bugs aswell, before ever trying to balance nerf or buff anything players are complaining about.

In this patch we've managed to completely squelch - for now and forever - any sort of intermittent ability delay, as well as get interrupting up to the top of the priority list! No new content in this one people, but I'm sure you'll all be happy with the latest changes!

(Not much other than that, maybe speeding up Vet leveling a bit)

Music fade levels. Currently it doesn't fade well (if at all) in certain situations like talking to NPC's. It would be a pretty easy change to implement.

I love Cyrodil the way it is but I agree its so huge that finding a nice fight is sometimes difficult.

The only thing I would do as boss is ensure that things like the Thieves guild, which are integral for ES games, would be added before a new forced group zone and a new veteran dungeon.

Just off the top of my head?
Well it's always difficult to have players feel 'unique' in mmos, so; I'd work on a cosmetic system that allows the player-base to convert our equipment into disguises, to be coupled for release and integrated with the dye system.

Can class balance, weapon balance, and armor balance all go under one catagory? Even then, those are tied with bugged abilities for #1 most important issue.

If anything I thing those changes are going to make things worse. Currently everyone plays together spread across the various campaigns. It will be no different with the new setup but instead players will be divided by rank.

Player Housing, immediately in a slightly improved elder scrolls form.
Ruze Aulus. Mayor of Dhalmora. Archer, hunter, assassin. Nightblade.
Gral. Mountain Terror. Barbarian, marauder, murderer. Nightblade.
Na'Djin. Knight-Blade. Knight, vanguard, defender. Nightblade.

    XBOX NA
Ruze is a veteran of the PC Beta, lived through the year one drought, survived the buy-to-play conversion, and has stepped foot in the hells known as Craglorn. He mained a nightlbade when nightblades weren't good, and has never worn a robe. He converted from PC during the console betas, and hasn't regretted it a moment since.

He'd rank ESO:TU (in it's current state) a 4.8 out of 5, loving the game almost entirely.

This is an multiplayer game. I should be able to log in, join a dungeon, join a battleground, queue for a dolmen or world boss or delve, teleport in, play for 20 minutes, and not worry about getting kicked, failing to join, having perfect voice coms, or being unable to complete content because someone's lagging behind. Group Finder and matchmaking is broken. Take a note from Destiny and build a system that allows from drop-in/drop-out functionality and quick play.

Agreed. Another hallmark of ES games that is missing. What's annoying is that one MMO that recently released has housing, and another one coming out soon also has it. Yet ESO doesn't :(

Yes, this is probably the single biggest oversight to date I believe. Well one of the biggest. Housing - when done right - in MMOs keeps players playing for months and months longer than they would have otherwise. Do it right and it can become a game in itself with players basically only playing the game because of the housing mechanics.

    It's a huge job though!

    That's my point.

Some players play for PvP. Others for RvR. Many for the grind and character advancement, feeling more powerful.

But housing, implemented correctly, can encourage players to play for their houses, to expand their collections and improve the various buildings or details.

It's been missing from MMO's for a LONG time now, and is just now making a popularity come back.

Sadly, if there was a way to curb the game for the super casual crowd who love the world but don't want to do a lot of hardcore leveling and adventuring, it would be a hit. My wife spends more time creating characters than playing. Give her some dresses and houses and parties and whatnot, and she'd have a blast.

And while it's shameful to admit it, I might enjoy it, too.

There's a list of changes I would make but if I had to pick one...

Do away with the account-centric design and make the game more character-based. Personal banks. Separate guilds and friends list for each character. If you want to make friends list global as an option, that's fine, but it would be nice to be able to get "lost" on an alt and have it be a fresh experience.

Not tonight mention, and not of the least importance with doing all of this, then we could do away with friends/guildies knowing us as our stupid freaking login name. I can't think of a better way to ruin community and immersion than having it like it is now.

Yes it has been largely missing of late. MMOs are going through a little bit of an identity crisis at the moment I think. But anyways...

Well, as you know, they've said it's coming, but it will take time because they want to do it 'right'. So we'll just have to wait and see. Fingers crossed!

Maybe - once I finished with my little project - I'd ask the boss if I could go help you with yours. After all, it's a big one.

I would change the game to Elder Scrolls Online as originally intended, instead of Elder Sorcerers Online.

Then I would burn all the dresses every class is forced to wear to be mildly viable.

Well hmm. Just one? I can't do just one. But I could probably put a few in order.

First, I'd open up the class skills to all. Because I have no fear and am an agent of chaos and open playability.

Second, I'd want to see all the weapon skill lines and armors buffed. Make stamina rock. Then all these pansies trying to staff and light armor would gtfo and leave me to do my job.

Third would be bugs/bots. Kill them all. Let the 8 sort 'em out.

Fourth and finally? Someplace to enjoy all that awesome. Someplace worthy.

    Then...you know...I guess....everything else.
