Game card Silver cover glue stuck so hard it ruined part of the code under it...

Yeah, after now 8 hours work trying to resolve the issue of my account being closed and Zenimax not wantint my VISA anymore (even though its nothing wrong with it) I was advised to buy a game card in the mean time, while they resolve their billing issues. So I did, it cost 50% more than buying game time online...

Now hte issue at hand, scraping off the silver concealer was so hard, it got parts of the code ruined, was I to firm? There are still some silver concealer on it, and I have tried as gently as possible to remove it, but it just isnt possible.

Now I got a Prepaid game time code card, cant use it, wasted 45$ on it, anyone think I wont forever quit now?

Problem with the card is that I cannot see a unique number on it, so it could be closed for use, incase some card were stolen etc, it would be logic if that was possible, but I cant see one.

Thank you Zenimax, for wasting my 45$ and 8 hours of today.


My loyalty now is to the 350 members of the guild im the GM of, so at least I hope Zenimax can fix so one of htem can take over, would suck to much if the guild too was ruined.

    Can you return the card? I had that happen on another type of card and it wouldn't rub off and ruined the code. I took the receipt and card back and they refunded the old card and I purchased a new one. They could see the silver part would not rub off so it wasn't an issue replacing it.

    I've heard of this once before. I think zos said the same thing, take your card back to your retailer and get a new card. Never used one so I cant tell you a good way to scratch it off but maybe there are instructions. Dunno. Maybe scratch it off while in store.

    was this store bought?

    If the card was damaged or faulty, ZOS actually has little to do with it. best bet is returning it as such.

    Scratch off cards are always a risk in this fashion and imo just not worth risk.

    As for the issues with billing, I have had to change methoids myself because of issues, namely the fact that paying via creditcard using paypal decided to fail 100%, so i agree that there are alot of issues.

    too lazy to pull out the card even... ha.. like it would have killed me to just put the card in the first place, i just resolved another issue with it, namely the fact the old card had been replaced by the issuer, and i had just not yet bothered to change the data on my account... the game was fixed in less than 5 minutes after i changed the account... i had to contact CS to get them to release my forum access tho...

    I went over to the store at once, they said they didnt take it, I had to bring it up with Zenimax...

    I am sorry, but I dont believe in Zenimax fixing this, wont take my VISA, and when I communicate with them, and before I scraped the card, I needed the game registration code before I entered the prepaid game time code. During my communication with them, they dont seem to understand the difference between them.

    I am prompted to enter Game registration code, so I asked ZoS where and what it was, they only reply with questions about the prepaid gametime card code. So its kind of frustrating, I got no idea what to do now.

    I cant take this kind of frustration and irritation, im spending to much time on this. Im resigned, no game should have these kinds of problems. I feel sorry for my great guildies if they cant take over the GM title and bring the guild further.

    Not sure how the store can say it is an issue with Zenimax. The store issued the card, you have proof of purchase from said store, you can prove the code is not viable for use so the store must make this right. If it were me and I had just plunked down 45.00 on an over priced card and it wouldn't rub off, I would be in store speaking with a manager until I got a new card or at least a refund. Did you pay cash for the card? If not call the bank and dispute the charge and let the store know you are disputing the charge and they will not be receiving the money for the item.

    He probably didnt geöt a new card because he maybe did scratch it too hard and in the prosess scratched off the numbers. They cant trade the card then since they cant be sure the code havent been used and hes just after a new free code. If they could have seen for sure that there was something wrong with the card they wouldve given him a new one. We can never know since we didnt see him scratch it nor heard what they said at the store.

    As @Leeta said, I understand if they cant take it back, they cant be sure if I have used it and are flat out lying to them.

    But Zenimax can verify if the card is used or not, or they should be able to at least. Its just that I cant find anything that identifies that particular card, except the code, which is partly ruined, there are 5 digits I cant see very well, but I can try and guess.

    But to be able to use it, I need a Game Registration Code first, which I finally got from Customer Support after a few mails back and forth, its just that the Game Registration Code (have to enter this first before the Prepaid game time code) is NOT valid... so I sent a mail back and told them this, im waiting for a response on the matter, but its been several hours...

    Seriously, this might be me never playing ESO again, that sux big time :(
