Are there sad people that watch others playing a game instead of playing it themselves?

    That's so sad.

i often watch play thru from others via web or my husband. games like mass effect that were spectacular in the cut movies but I couldnt be arsed playing the game myself since I hate team play in solo games. Or Last of Us, I didnt have a playstation and never will to play that most excellent game. I got to enjoy the story via a lets play blog.

or super scary games which Ill never play myself but have a fascination to keep peeking at the gore and so on. Its entertaining for me and alot of others. What I cant stand is the web players who try and get their followers to think like them and force opinions on others. I just want to see the game, not be a fan bois of the player.

The type of people that this game was made for, the niche group that the devs were aiming for and talked about, aren't the type that watch twitch or record. I am one of them. I have never watched it nor would I. Using twitch as a source to say the game is dying is rediculous. Other sources maybe, but that one doesn't fit.

good word, i wonder if ZoS understand that word and make game F2P to attract more people outside a tiny niche group.

Totally to be expected, MMO's shelf life at launch price is never very long after the initial rush.
beg to differ, WoW, TBC and lich king were massive successes and rarely dropped in price, the time they started going down in price was when their flop of an expansion "caraclysm" hit, the costs started to drop due to both the fact it was reduced in cost to get older ones online via blizzard AND the fact the sales were going down

It is a bit unfair to compare it to wow which sets the trend, this game doesn't even have any expansions. Like you said, Wow was a Massive success, and still is to some degree

non-wow example would be Starcraft (not a MMO but it's still got a high cost for high success) , super smash bro's for the wii, i think GTA 5 is still going strong on price. usually prices dont drop so fast unless it's got a bad rating and saddly theres alot of negative press about ESO, they need to step it up and fix some serious flaws before it drags beyond the point of no return or worse... F2P... i want eso to stay sub only dammit :(

Meh starcraft is kind of the same since it's attached to Blizz, again is a very developed company. Brawl was horrible to me, but i find tripping to be ridiculous. GTA 5 They did it right. Online was broken for over a month, so they gave EVERYONE including those who got the game the next month an in game stimulous. Instead, ESO decides to give you 5 days , even smaller window of opportunity, and that was all forgotten because all it did was postpone the subscription renewal issue. They need to accommodate the billing a lot better, but we are finally down to just a few bugs and the stuff that gets broken in patches. They can be serious, but there are still a lot less bugs in the game now

I love this game - I'm having fun playing it and I wish all the curmudgeons and whiners would just shut the hell up. Taking delight in wishing for the demise of the game, and then wasting energy to spread all your bile and garbage on this forum beyond pathetic.

It is true, though, that inside the game, there is actually a vibrant and positive community, which is in stark contrast to much of what you see on this forum. I have come across some really cool people in-game, who are great team players and have a good sense of humor. However, you wouldn't believe it if you only paid attention to this forum.

When I think about it, the two most annoying things about this game are:
    1. The negativity in this "community"
    2. The delay on weapon swap

i still actually enjoy the game. the thread isnt about "QQ gaem sux F2P" but a post regarding how publicity has negativly impacted it lowering it's cost and overall income.
if they dont fix broken things it's destined to drive people away and lower the games chances of sustainment due to lack of funds

A local game store ran a sale?!

Everyone start selling your ZO stock now!

doesn't the transfer rate also change. Its always a constant price in America, but everywhere else they have to pay the price in their currency, so that can change based off of exchange rates.

Just because a store is trying to push it's product with a sale doesn't mean that it's failing. It just means people are not buying from that store. Walmart still has perorders because well no one ever checks the walmart here.
GAME and Powergame (might be merged now) are the only 2 main gaming shops in most of the UK and it's rare for them to put newer games or best sellers on low costs like that unless they are flopping, take Aliens:colonial (cant spell) marines as an example, the game was horrific and didnt live up to the hype, took them a long while to fix it, by 1motnh it went from £35 pre-order to £5 deal value or £10 normal value.
true it's a FPS but value instore doesnt change by genre but by success of sales

    ROFL

Look you wanna say the game is dying just go on if that makes you feel better but these charades are beyond pathetic:

    GAME UK TESO PRICES

    Quit already please

If you've ever shopped at GAME then you'd know they tend to have different prices in store then what they display on their webpage.
Tesco in the UK sell it for £30, all i see is anecdotal claims

    http://www.tesco.com/direct/the-elder-scrolls-online/369-4881.prd?pageLevel=&skuId=369-4881

And so do Tesco, obviously they are not going to update their site with every sale that every store is having.

    Actually.

Did you know that on a nightly average, some Dota/LoL streamers average more viewers than prime time television? I understand your sentiment, but you need to realize that there is a huge market for streaming, and it sells games. A very entertaining stream can be more fun to watch than 99% of what's on cable TV.

We seriously need to stop saying this ***. There is no "type of people" this game was made for, unless you're talking about the "type of people" that have disposable income. I've said it once, will say it again:

ZoS board meetings do not consist of "As long as we please our niche Elder Scrolls fans, *** everyone else!" it's more like "What can we do to get more players, ergo more money?!"

The size of the download was an issue as it ate days of game time.

But otherwise I think the game is good, and it does not matter if some guy buys it for a taco down at Wendy's. No issue Taco boy, I group with you...............
