2nd boss in vet Fungal Grotto broken.

This boss fight is simply ridiculous, and not because it is hard. I can understand things being much harder in vet levels. But this is simply broken and needs to be rebuilt.

Half the time the chains are showing up yet players are still able to move around. Also, she is spamming chains WHILE the mobile hard-hitting shades are up, and seems to get stuck if you don't kill the shades fast enough and just keeps re-applying chains.

Several times she applied shackles to three people at the same time, forcing the group to spread out too far from the healer.

Overall after two separate runs and over a dozen times attempting this I have decided it isn't something I will be doing again. It isn't fun and it isn't even challenging, its just tedious and breaking left and right.

If this is a sign of things to come it might be time to just cut my losses and move on. I am not the sort of gamer that mashes their head against something for weeks on end just to overcome a badly implemented mechanic. I am not that OCD and I am not that masochistic.

I play games to have FUN. I don't mind a challenge. I steamroll most vet content and solo most of the overworld elites without much trouble. This sort of thing though, particularly when there is really no gear progression or reason to be doing it other than the experience, doesn't really provide much incentive to keep doing it.

    Well, that sounds...sad, I was hoping to run Fungal in the near future. If I still do that, expect me to come back and give your thread a free bump with raging of my own:)

    We did it yesterday and it worked fine. Only 1 person with chains. Vr6.

    This is one of the areas that is still experiencing the random bugs of double health/damage for NPC. I ran FG right after the patch/fix for this bug and one of my group was getting hit with 22,000- 27,000 damage in a single hit from the 2nd boss. We tried grouping this dungeon again this past weekend and still no change.

    I had similar problems with BC when I was level 12 either the boss wouldn't spawn or his health would never drop below 95%. I finally finished it after a few patches, but was already at lvl 50, I'm sure FG will end up the same way for me.

    It almost seems like some of these bugs get attached to the character(s) rather than the dungeon itself. I don't really know anything about coding so I can't really say for sure, but I have read posts about particular bugs that I have had no problems with while others I have had the same exact issue.

    My advice move on to the next dungeon to avoid the rage. I'm a completionist so I can understand where your coming from, but sometimes I just have to move on when something that is supposed to mindless causal fun becomes nothing more than grinding frustration.

    Challenging video games are one thing, but they should not create more stress than RL. I sometimes think devs miss this point.
