Error 301/Login time out - what worked for me

Exit ESO & the Launcher
Go to your main directory for ESO in laucher find and delete the file: Bethesda.net_Launcher.version.
restart the game login.
Worked fine for me after trying a series of lame fixes, hope you have the same success =)

    Nope.
    EU server, and loosing interest in the game.

    I don't see how messing with the launcher would fix the connection issue with the server. In other words, this did not work.
    Keep your friends close, kill all your enemies.
