New Voice Actor For Brackenleaf....Bravo Zenimax!

Would like to finally post a positive thread for Zenimax and I'm more that happy to do so, as it is completely worth it in this case! They changed the voice actor for Brackenleaf(picture below) which was something that really needed to be done! The original voice actor was not fitting to the character of Brackenleaf. A tiny voice to this BIG huge tree did not fit at all & was a real let down. I could be wrong but it sounds a lot like Wes Johnson that has done the new voice for Brackenleaf. Wes Johnson for those that do not know is also the voice actor for the character Sheogorath. Awesome, awesome, awesome voice actor! He really dose Sheogorath extremely well! In Oblivion he also plays the guard very well to! “Stop right there criminal scum, pay the court a fine or serve your sentence, Your stolen goods are now forfeit” Brings back wonderful memories of that guard instantly getting up in my face and scaring the hell outta me!!! 
Oblivion was good times indeed and an awesome game of epic proportions! Sigh.....an old love remembered aye. 
Job well done on the voice actor change Zenimax!!!! PLEASE keep up the good work...we all NEED it a lot thank you!

Yups, I sure am. I think they need at least a little thumbs up on stuff that they do right! AND....they have done a lot of great things in ESO. Its not a complete fail in all areas. There is many good things I could say about ESO and its those things that keep me playing!

✭That was the only voice that sounds ....... so out of place.
There was a few where the voice was two different actors, (I guess they could not get the first one back for the extra lines) But Brackenleaf was the only one that made me fall out of my chair when I heard them...... Wow a thousand year old tree sounds like that!!!!0 -

Wish I could have made a video of it. Would be nice to see. You could try rolling a new toon through there and see it for your self. ^^ Think around lvl 15 you can do that quest. Wouldnt take you all that much time to get to lvl 15?

✭They have lots of different teams and the team working on 'voices' and other pretty things has nothing to do with the bug fix or balance teams.

I always thought they forgot to put any affects on the actors voice. I would like to hear the new one to see if it is actually someone different or if they simply put it through some kind of affects machine.1 -
This is not the worst voice acting disaster in the game, there are parts where they've used a totally different voice actor even for main characters like when the prophet first talks to you when you wake up after leaving coldharbor for the first time. I understand they may not be able to get the AAA actors back in for a recording session but sticking someone else's voice over an NPC breaks immersion.
Also some NPC's like orc blacksmiths seem to have two voices i.e. if you click the tutorial line it's not the same guy who voiced the other lines for that character.Edited by infraction2008b16_ESO on June 10, 2014 9:45PM1 -

Trust me, its a different person. Look up the name Wes Johnson and listen to and watch the video of him. I'm not 100% sure but the tree voice sounded a lot like Wes Johnson. Really wish I would have made a video of that so yall could hear for selfs. Sorry.
