We still havent any Guild as Thives or Dark Brotherhod wich is issential !

There's a thought: appropriate guild passive skills buffs could go a long way toward helping the classic Nightblade playing style.

Nothing in this upcoming patch allows me to compete in DPS with my Nightblade as either Dual Wield or Bow. When the only way I can compete is with a RESTORATION staff, something is seriously wrong with your game. This goes well beyond Nightblades. The whole idea of Stamina weapon builds is useless at the moment. Either make every skill base off magicka and keep Stam for dodging/blocking, or give some SERIOUS buffs to the damage generated by Stamina abilities. It feels like every skill line in this game was balanced around how the class could solo quest content, and not how they would compete in dungeons or pvp. Poor form ZoS. Until I see patch notes about Stamina, it's -1 Subscription.

And none of these guys were PvP nubs... All of which were PvP ranks 10-16

There's always that one guy. How does that build do in PvE? Is it going to get you groups? Can you kill a 4 or 5 pack of mobs like DK's or Sorc's can? What's you sustained DPS over 2 minutes?

I want to believe you but one night of dueling doesn't not make the NB class a total bust. You might just be better than everyone else that you went up againt. NB's aren't totally inept, they are just several steps behind the other classes.

Some different ideas.. On top of other suggestions.

    - Add weapon weights to the game.
eg 2H very heavy so you move slow, daggers very light so you move fast. Staff heavy. Should affect both stealth and unstealth.

    - Add armour weights the same way.
    - Boost heavy and medium armour.
    - Boost meele damage
    - Add synergies to nightblades passives for dual weild/class meele
    - Make stamina attacks cost way less
Add PvP loot drops for some risk/reward in this game.

Good to hear one nb is doing well. I don't use DW but will try a similar setup.

I use killer's blade and ambush at the moment.

I use surprise attack which does 1400 in pve, snuck on a vr 12 last night and got 239. I stopped for the night after this.

It's virtually impossible to do high amounts of damage on higher level vrs, which means I may as well leave them alone as I will take a few hits and die.

I can bow ok, melee is a waste of time against sorcs and dks.

Without a ranged bar, you aren't going to be able to survive large scale pvp. He can use his 2nd bar yo heal his pvp group which is exactly what I do half the time.

in small scale pvp and non dungeon areas, its a good build but proves that we are a one trick pony. I just want a stamina build viable. I'm sick of my light armor and resto staff. Not what I envisioned when choosing nightblade. This is the problem with many.

    Not true. The majority zerg.

I solo a lot. Sometimes with a few others and sometimes with a zerg. Soloing is not rare at all.

I in 100 fights in Cyrodiil, on a good day, were 1v1 for me. I stopped soloing out there in the true sense because I almost never come across other Han Solos. Pairs.. lots. Singles. Almost none. I like to play around the fringes ungrouped but that's not truly soloing.

A buddy of mine and I play dual wield NBs, we sometimes get into large scale pvp, but usually we camp out on the supply lines, burn sieges and forward camps. When we come upon large group combat, usually at resources we attack the sides, hit and run, get in kill a target and use dark cloak to get back out. Split a groups focus, we don't get tons of kills but right now as a nb you can't wade into combat like a dk or sorc and expect to live. For the time being it's all about choosing the right tactics for your class.

    Incoming Fixes & Improvements

Dark Cloak (Shadow Cloak morph): Dark Cloak is not currently removing damage-over-time (DoT) debuffs as it should be. We’re currently investigating this issue to determine which DoTs are not being removed by Dark Cloak.

I am glad this is getting fixed, because I would prefer this skill over the Shadowy Disguise Morph, which I have switched over to due to the DoTs not being removed, I have now found that Shadowy Disguise is not always granting the critical strike rating as it is meant to and I have narrowed it down to when it does not grant the critcal strike bonus.
I am currently at rank3 in shadowy disguise and have also asked a friend of mine who has the skill maxed at rank4 test this as well and we have the exact same thing happening. If you are crouched and hidden (eye is completely closed and flat) upon activating this ability it will not grant the bonus. it is only granting the bonus while the player is not hidden, so when standing up, crouched and detected, when crouched and becoming hidden and even when already cloaked, but never when crouch hidden.
I apologize if this has already been addressed, I just did not feel like filtering through all of the posts in this thread.
Thank you for your time and keep up the good work Zenimax!
And always remember: Nay sayers are always gonna nay say!

Edit: Guildmate brought up something else about this skill which he has noticed and I also recreated... The bonus from this ability works only about 50% of the time while in combat.

So hopefully they're following this thread or myself to answer the accompanying questions.

Yes, I use the same build for PvE. I've done so (or something very similar since launch).

I find MANY 1v1 or 1v2 battles in Cyrodiil daily, as I sit in between keeps that are being defended or attacked.

And I'll add... If you're in a gigantic zerg, who cares what your build is? You run w/ a mob of ppl, hit one AoE spell, kill the target and keep rolling.

Running around onesies and twosies is the best. You have to go to the quest hubs to find those guys. It does get annoying when it's 6 guys running quests. Where's the sport if you just overwhelm the guy. I manage to do a fair job ganking people. I run DW for my surprise stuff and a S&B for sustained fights. Makes for a good time. I have a hard time killing tankyier folks though. It seems like mark target does a lot of nothing... It should let me cut through other players like butter.
Oh, and I still hate Magelight, it's OP.

And it's not about having a win button, it's about being the best at something. DK best tanks, Templars best healers, Sorc best range dps/control. I understand that they didn't want to make stealth type players OP, it can get out of hand quickly. But in the process of making sure we weren't too powerful we've become heart breakingly underwhelming. Also, is it so bad to just want our skills to work properly?

    NB sucks so badly...
Just tried to kill a "quest boss". Skills just stopped to do damage. Ultimate was used but did nothing, but ultimate power was gone of course... So I had no chance to win because the absolutely weak NB skills just stopped working and I did 0! damage.

I dont know if anyone notice, but Siphoning Strikes have some issue with restoring resources. Support says its working, but here my test:

Siphoning Strikes (and morphs) - basic weapon attacks restore 4% stamina/magica and with leeching restore health 2.x%.
Basic attacks, are light and heavy, so i should proc with every light swing but its not.

    Screenshot: http://imgur.com/C0ttB5e

In this test im using 2 daggers with 0 overall speed bonus. You can see its not restore resources with every light attack.
In second test (no ss sry), i use 1h sword and shield with with Haste and results where similar. 1h sword and shield with 0 seed buff work correctly.

Cripple (and morphs) - its good skill but have one big problem. Its work only with 1 target. When you cast this skill on second mob/player, first dot disappear.

Death Stroke (and morphs) - i was curious how long "reduce healing recieved by 50%" lasts, so i ask support and the answer is: "We at the Mages guild suspect that the effect is active while your ultimate ability is on or until your adversary dispels it." I may be mistaken, but that debuff just dont work. This ultimate is on target for 0.2 sec? How debuff with lasts less then second (if work correctly) is helpful at all? Duration of this should be at least 5 sec.

Shadow Cloak (and morphs) - best nightblade skill, have several bugs.
Dark Cloak not removes some dots is bad, but you know about this. How about magica cost bug? My cloak cost 350 magica, but if i have 500 still cant use this. How about my own dots? If you have any dot on target (wepon bleed, twin slashes, cripple etc) using cloak is waste of magica because you drop invisibility instantly.

I am well aware of the physical attacks getting these bonuses... My issue is that Shadowy Disguise is not applying the critical strike bonus if hidden when it is used. This affects my play style because I use staff. It is counter-intuitive to have to un-stealth while around mobs then re-stealth using Shadowy Disguise just so I can receive the bonus that this skill is intended to grant.

I'm one of those who have respec'd their NB for magicka using light+resto and I've also gone Vamp too to support that build.

Yep, it makes for a pretty effective group healer (4 person dungeon's, Craglorn grinding groups, ...) and in PvE it's made soloing veteran content a whole bunch easier than my previous stamina medium+bow/melee (non-vamp) build.

But fundamentally it's not the build nor the play style that I wanted or particularly enjoy - I'm not playing ESO "my way" but at the same time I wasn't particularly enjoying trying to persist with playing it "my way" given the fundamental limitations of that approach.

My feeling right now is that once I hit VR12 I'll respec back to a stamina based build as I'll be spending a lot more time in PvP and even if it might not be the most competitive build for 1-v-1 PvP it will at least be more in-line with what I want my NB to be.

I only hope that ZOS quickly figure out how to balance things so that such a build can be workable across the spectrum of PvE and PvP content.
