Prepaid cards being declined, recurring payments

So after a huge amount of frustration trying to pay for game time with a vanilla prepaid master card, customer support told me to go buy a game card from gamestop or walmart(do they actually carry them now?) I eventually saw the not valid for recurring payments at the bottom of there faq would have been nice to know before i wasted 25$ but whatever. I think zenimax could resolve some customer problems by offering a non recurring subscription option, just a thought, what do you guys think?

hope this post helps someone out there understand why its not working for them

They do. It's called buying a game card. It's not their fault you didn't read the fine print. Not to mention it's sort of common sense.

I wasn't trying to imply it was their fault, i actually bought this prepaid card at launch when time cards weren't available and you needed a credit card to activate the 30 days free. I was just trying to say an option saying would you like to make this a one time or a recurring purchase on there site would be nice

the fine print wasnt on the cards packaging or the card itself, just on the logged in portion of mastercards website. my bad i guess its common sense, was only planning to sign up for a month didnt really think about it

Not allowing payment from pre-paid Visa or Mastercard accounts is probably a logo requirement violation by Zenimax.

How is it a logo violation? that don't make any sense. You can use Visa and MasterCard for payment. The restriction is on pre-paid cards. That restriction is placed by Visa and/or MasterCard.

To the OP, the reason why there is a restriction on pre-paid cards as there no form of available balance other than what you put onto the card. And the balance on pre-paid cards are not connected to any bank or lender.
