I had to grind from VR10 to VR12. I did this by partially going back to zones I hadn't completed and partially by grinding. About 60% of the total level grind from 10 to 12 was done through mundane grinding. I have yet to have complete 1 single quest in Craglorn.
Craglorn itself isn't actually that bad, it's an interesting twist on thing and something I've wanted an MMO to try and do, that is release new quest content rather than just raids. However, the community isn't ready for the "forced grouping" that the quests require (mind you, the mindset is "get to max level") combined with the most idiotic grouping system known to MMO kind. The guy responsible for the grouping design in ESO should be relocated to a Siberian camp for the duration of a winter for that atrocity. It's literally the worst design I've seen, and I thought Looking for Raid and Looking for Group in WoW was bad.
In the end, if you want to get to VR12, you have to grind. Not that I know why you want to get to VR12, there's trials .... that's the "end game". No raid, no 14 bosses gruelling climb with lockouts, no getting stuck on a boss for weeks because it's bloody messy to get past it. No, you get trials, and what do you know, they're grinding the 1st boss over and over and over and over and ....
Actually, if you want to have more fun than VR12 is, take a bucket of paint and splat it over the wall. Now sit down and watch said painted wall until painting is dry. Welcome to ESO Trials. Never thought I'd say it but I miss a raid.

I don't feel like I've reached endgame I feel like I've reached the end of the game. I mean how do I progress from here? What do I do in the game to actually keep me entertained enough to think the subscription is worth keeping?
The problem is that anomalies and the other methods of farming/grinding in Craglorn are just far too rewarding. So much so that people feel like they're missing out on lots of experience and items if they don't do the grind. This will remain the reality until they nerf the farming/grinding.

Funny thought. What if...this is a crazy idea...what if they make doing other stuff more rewarding than grinding?
I know it's a totally foreign concept but I think it just might be crazy enough to work.

What you mean like the boring VR levels & dungeons that everyone seems to be skipping?

How is everyone getting to max levels so fast? Seriously. It's been weeks, and I'm still below level 30!! I play an average of one to two hours a day...
That said, I will gladly run dungeons and quests with people when I finally do get to veteran status. Casual though I may be, I have some skill; those I've already run with can attest to this.
My roleplaying guild, Dragon Tears, is doing well and growing. I usually see at upward of a dozen people on every day. Same with my PvP guild, Northern Wardens. I don't know if that's useful information for you... I don't think either guild is running trials as a guild.

there are alot of people that have more time on their hands, im disabled and unable to work, what pittance i get i save and budget so i play games like this.
due to this, i spend upwards of 5 hours a day gaming, if not more, however unlike others, i got to vr10 the conventional way, questing. all these exploits i dont feel the need to do, they take away from my enjoyment.
i dont want to get to vr12 in 2 or 3 hours, i want to drag it out a few days or even weeks, so i can still feel like im getting something from quests. its likely that once i reach vr12, and max out some extra crafting skills, ill roll a new character. the endgame in this game is not that enticing
