Does the account go into a suspended state and maintain everything stored in the bank and such?? If you come back at a later date, will you character still be there?

Elvent✭✭✭✭Most MMOs when you quit, everything stays just how you left them but beware depending on how long you have been...you might see a name change waiting on one of your characters when you log back in, happened to me with SWTOR and WoW but everything stays in the banks, bags, etc...
If any mail it will probably be lost forever, I am sure it works the same with ESO but I could be wrong.1 -

The name change only happens when they combine servers because the population was too low.. ESO will never do that, or it would have already happened.
That is the only positive side to the megaserver as far as I can tell. ZOS can hide how badly it is doing.1 -
