There is no 64 bit version of ESO, is there?

In beta I could not play because I had a 32 bit version, according to my computer. On launch when I downloaded and installed it worked. So, either they have a 64 bit version or they fixed a bug which allowed it to play as 32 bit on my machine. My .net environment is all 64 bit which messes me up with some software.

I mentioned 64bit because my wifes machine isn't set up to program and she has no crashes. If I try to cause a crash I can do it within seconds and I crash at least once an hour while playing because I forget and use shortcut keys. Just today I crashed, logged back in and crashed on my second key stroke. Smacked myself in the forehead and came to the forum.

No offense but something tells me you aren't 100% sure on what you're talking about which in turn is going to make it a bit harder for someone to pin down exactly what the problem is.

One of the big complaints regarding ESO is the fact that there is no 64 bit client. Unless I myself have lived under a rock the last week or two I'm 99.9% sure that Beth/ZoS didn't sneak out a 64 bit version while I wasn't paying attention. Trust me I'd be all over the download for such a version as soon as it's available.

In any case all ESO clients currently available should be 32 bit versions. Despite having a 64 bit OS this really shouldn't be a problem on your end since 32 bit software should work fine with a 64 bit OS. Whatever the issue is I'm not really sure what to tell you. Game runs fine for me. No crashes and all my keyboard shortcuts work fine.

Have you added any additional addons to ESO recently? What about downloading updates to anything you may have already been using? Addons in MMO's tend to foul things up very quickly when they aren't properly updated for new patches.

If you do have addons I highly suggest disabling them all and seeing if that clears up the problem. Frankly I know many people knock it as something that customer service likes to throw out as a useless fix but there's a reason many reps will suggest that first: it works more often than you would think.

If you are using addons give it a try and let us know what happens. If that doesn't work or you aren't using them then I don't really know what else to suggest.

One last thing however: system specs? May seem like a silly question but you'd be surprised at how often I've run into people claiming the game worked fine when the system specs would suggest otherwise.

Honestly I doubt this suggestion is going to help. Granted if you check the minimum requirements it does list WinXP 32 bit as an operating system. However regardless of how old the game engine is this game was made with Win7/8 in mind as those are the recommended operating systems for Windows based PC's. There's also the fact that Windows XP is for all intents and purposes now an obsolete OS since Microsoft themselves are no longer supporting it.

I can't imagine XP compatibility mode is going to help here. In fact I expect it to have the opposite effect.

Dont know where you got that this engine is 7 years old as ZOS made their own engine. They only used the Hero engine at the very start to get things rolling. After that they made their own.

I have a 64bit system with no crashes. Need to know more about your system as there might be a bad driver, a compatibility issue with some hardware.
