Weapon sounds WAY out of sync with animation

As of late it seems this issue is getting worse. Restarting the game only fixes the issue for about 5min - and boy if you die (you know, due to the bugs) it gets worse....by a lot.

Rapid Strikes animation goes off and about mid-way through the animation you start to actually hear the swords/daggers hit the mob.

It's like watching a horrible Japanese karate movie from the 70's - just doesn't have the grainy red-faded film look to it.

Come on Zenimax, you know this is ruining that immersion thing you want us to enjoy so much.

I'm experiencing the same thing, happens with footsteps as well.

Have you tweaked your .ini file by any chance? I recently changed some options in there, so I was wondering if it had anything to do with it. Doesn't seem like a widespread problem, there should be a bunch of threads by now if it was a 1.1.3 issue. For what it's worth it, my soundcard is an X-Fi Platinum Fatality Champion, OS is w7 64.

Anyway, gonna fiddle with some settings, see if it makes any difference.

I heard that in a Dwemer ruin last night, never noticed it before. New issue with the last patch? Sound was seriously out of sync.... I know I continued for a while, but then got disconnected some 5 minutes later.

Pretty sure that the culprit in my case was MIP_LOAD_SKIP_LEVELS, I had it set to -2, reverted back to 0 and I haven't experienced any skipping/lag with sound effects since.

0 is the default and I have not changed my config file at all.
