zgrssd✭✭✭✭Changing the race of a Character you already have played? I don't think this is going to be avalible anytime soon or ever. I can't think of one MMO that allowed such a change in about half a dozen I played.
I guess you will have to make a new character.
You mean playing an Altmer in EP Faction? Removing the alliance restirctions was part of the explorer pack (pre-order; some with explorers pack might still be buyable). Also Imperial race has no alliance restriction (upgrade to imperial editionis avalible).

That sounds like it is a lot of hassle for the programmers. The lower difference between races in ESO might actually make this more feasible.
And I just noticed that SWTOR implemented it as part of thier Character editor. SWTOR is about as egalitarian towards race&class as ESO (they don't even have racial passives).
So I have to correct what I said earlier:

I feel within the next couple months it will get better. The game has been out for 2 months people just need to stop being so impatient. If people want to be impatient and complain about everything in the game, then go play wow and get a game that has most issues sorted rather then stay here and moan about everything. I'm against it for the simple reason that character creation decisions need to have some weight to them. If tommorow you think Dark Elves look cooler than everyone else, you can just change to a Dark Elf.... if the FOTM build revolves around maxxing physical crit you can just switch to Khajit.
I will give the OP the benefit of the doubt and say he's probably not out to abuse the system in this manner, but because there are people who will.. I dont support the implementation of this feature.
and yes, several other games have this feature to include SWTOR and WOW.
Its very immersion/lore breaking when the giant Tauren warrior you used to level with shows up as well endowed curvy elf lady.0 -

I don't care if ZOS let's us switch races, personally.
If it does not hurt my game, why should I care?
I do think it should cost a heck of a lot of gold or some major epic quest.
