This is terrible. Once again ZoS has ruined a perfectly good skill to cater to the PvP whiners and QQ'ers. This game is going down hill faster than anyone could have predicted and its all because of self-inflicted wounds.

it's only gonna affect you in pvp anyway. why would you ever need to spam 2 in under 4 seconds in a PVE setting?

Hope this never goes live as it will destroy the sorc class playability unless they also add at the same time some kind of survivability against rush and bash. With this proposal you wouldn't even be able to use the spell to fight to avoid bash/rush instead of run away. There has never been anything wrong with the actual skill itself. It is the pvp'rs using the hack mod that allows them to port forever people are really mad at but they don't understand that. Changing the base skill isn't going to fix the cheaters' hack mods.
It is just like Bash enjoy the absurdness while it lasts but if you expect it to be around forever you are being foolish. Honeslty a spammable ability that makes you impossible to catch even on a horse?? Really?? How on Earth would that not end up getting changed? PvP - Run in and attack and end up further away than a horse can catch you .. totally balanced.
wouldn't a sorc just be able to use the dark exchange/converson power to keep spamming bolt escape? Might be a stupid question but I don't play a sorc but from what I understand they have a power that pretty much regens all health and magicka at a cost of stamina?

it's only fair now all CCs and gap closers should have diminishing returns, cool down or increased cost if u use it again in quick fashion, just like the BE nerf.

First off I never whined nor cared about it. It is very tough guy of you to wish a nerf against me though so grats on that!
So what other classes have "CC and Gap Closers" that allow them to get accross an entire map faster than a horse can catch them? What does it have to do with CC in any way? What other "gap closers" do you not need any target to use? What "gap closers" need to be spammed over and over and over? Why can't you still just spam this with a little more cost?

explain to me how a class defining skill called "Bolt Escape" is abused when it is frequently used for escaping? Or are you one of those melee guy that want to say "if sorc is caught within melee range they should accept death" while the inverse of the that logic doesn't apply to melee builds that get caught in range combat?
