still getting unknown error/error 301 after 6-2-14 patch

WTH, promised they would fix the login issue with the unknown issue with being booted from game. happens every time i zone out of dungeons/ to friends/ wayshrines/ and zones, and then they say its cuz of your graphix card. LMFAO.

    Are you still getting error 301 - login timed out every time you login?

    Also, are you on the North American Megaserver?

    yes im NA, and im glad its not the login timed out issue like it was right after the crag patch.

    its just

    unknown error, log back in and get

    error code 301, but not the timed out one

    Yes, write down the numbers - unknown error is quite often Addon related or internet connection related rather than the login timeout issue. Esohead addon can cause this.

    My hunch would be you're getting error 310.

    Ever since last night (6/3), I have been getting error 301 followed by login timeouts with my account. Today I was still getting the same error. So, for fun I tried logging in with my husbands account on my computer, and it logs in just fine. Grr.... Any ideas???

    Ever since last night (June 3) I have also been unable to login (to the NA Server). I get timeouts followed by a 301 error. Everything had been working great, then no login.

    I did a fresh install on a totally different computer (a Mac, no add-ons, no antivirus -- my normal machine is a PC) and had the same exact problem, on the new machine, both at home and work.

    My character was in The Rift and I have read that others have had this issue in that location, although I'm not sure that makes sense.

    I have tried a laundry list of To-Dos from tech support: rebooting the machine, clean booting, restarting the router, configuring ports in the firewall, on the router. I tried doing a repair to the install. Per their request I submitted the host.developer log file

    I have spent a lot of time on this -- my feeling is that it is server related, or the most recent patch. Have not heard back from Tech Support today.

    Will update this if I solve it!

    I am confused about your problem. Is it the infamous unknown error that forces the game to crash, or the equally infamous error 301 that blocks your entrance onto the games servers. If it is the latter I can only offer sympathies. However if it is the former there is a tentative fix that might restore playability.

    When you launch the game. Enter the video settings, and reset the values to the lowest possible setting, and turn off the named effects. The end result should be a consistent connection. The game will look as ugly as all hell, but you will probably be able to play.

    They are only partially correct in asserting that it is your graphics card at fault in this situation. It isn't up to the task of deciphering their terrible code. I think the most likely cause of the unknown error is that one or many bad strings of code. Are instructing certain types of graphics cards to do something they were just never designed to do.

    I personally think it is rather disingenuous of them to place all the blame on the card manufacturers. The reality is those companies are highly professional with many years of experience under their collective belts. This developer however is new, untested, and has subcontracted most everything out. They didn't even build the games engine.

    I don't understand why they can't just honestly admit to their limitations due to their lack of experience, and further more I don't understand why they haven't opted to bring in additional support. When it has become self evident that they are in well over their heads.

    They should never tell the customer that calls in with these problems that it is their hardware at fault. Hardware that can run most other games perfectly fine. That doesn't solve anything. That just encourages people to leave. It is cheaper to change games. Then it is to go out, and buy a new graphics card in the hope that it will actually allow a game to run on their rig.

    They need to invest in some genuine community relations, because if this is the response people are getting from tech support this games days are numbered.

    After the server was taken offline as scheduled the morning of Thursday, June 5, 2104, I was able to get back into the game. After successful login, the load screen took a long time before I saw the character select screen, and I was starting to get concerned -- but it worked.

    So in my case, it was not my computer at all.

    One odd thing my character had been relocated from The Rift to Deshaan, which I guess was tech support trying to solve my problem.

When I tried to log in, it took along time and then it said log in timeout. Then I tried it again and few seconds later it said error 301, unable to connect to server (like MaxDerhund's picture). I tried exiting the game, restarting my computer,... and still the same problem. I thought I will fix at night when they do their maintenance. I tried this morning and still the same. I send a ticket to costumer support, tried what other people said on forums and still have the same problem. Can't connect to server. Before I only get disconnected, but I could reconnect and play. Now, I can't even connect to play the game. Hope they will fix this soon.
    BTW I'm playing on EU server. If anyone have any ideas how to fix it, or anyone got the solution, please post it.

    Next EU server maintance is Friday, so just like me that cant play in EU server because the Login time out, we need to wait for the server maintnance on friday and hope that will "fix" our accounts.

    my 301 was cured by this mornings server patch or maint or whatever it was. i just logged out and will hopefully not see this bug again :) best wishes for your issue.

    Yes, i will eagerly wait for the EU maint but the scare of suddenly not being able to log in is something you only know when you experienced it.

    Like pain, you could say. Us ESO addicts go cold turkey on 301

    No login timeouts or other login errors ever since april.

    Add me to the "not able to login" list.

    I have filed a ticket. Yes, they sent a canned response even though I stated explicitly that I could not log on with any computer I tried. My roommate can log onto his character just fine from my computer as well as his own computer.

    So yes, it is a server side problem and not our computers!

    Reset the servers daily please until you can solve this problem.

    I have cancelled my subscription already (4 days remaining). If they fix the issue within the four days fine, but otherwise I'm am out of here.

    There is NO WAY I will pay for a game that I cannot play. Sorry.
